Finding stuff that works for you is important! If you find Temu to be a helpful resource, and you're happy buying from them, that's great! I'm not interested in their products, and while I realize AliExpress is probably not hugely better, I'm still more comfortable buying from a select few vendors on AliExpress.
I’ve had awful experiences with aliexpress, my temu experiences have been much better- refunds immediately, price matches etc. I had one aliexpress seller deliberately send me the wrong thing then stop communicating when I asked for a refund. I had to do a chargeback. It’s the same stuff Amazon sells, just without lining Bezos pockets- and supporting the way he treats his staff
heads up. not everyone can afford more expensive watercolors. not everyone is a snob either. I love Temu and take offense to snobs making people feel bad because they cant afford expensive items
Yeah I didn't even finish the video. Feel like she came in with a judgement that they are bad to start off with and even chose the worst products. They have other watercolour that's only a few $ more that are amazing. I have that second pallet and it's not bad. I'd say it's comparable to the Winsor and Newton student paint.
@@mrfredbasset most of the time all these are made at same factory. not like there are 10,000 companies trying to copy one name brand. we buy what we can afford at the end of the day and shouldnt be made to feel bad because of it
I agree. I have gotten some nice watercolor sets made by Superior an also a set of Paul Rubens tubes. Very happy with all oy them. The Meliangs I got are very good also. I do think they are white labeled by the Superior. They also have Meeden. Paints. What she got were cheap children's not even student grade.
I’ve bought loads of art supplies from Temu, brushes and a sketch book and I always buy my Baohong paper from there, all good so far, I’ve not tried paint but bought an empty pallette. No problem with anything so far. X
If you had bought them within 30 days you can click on the request a price adjustment button. You get a refund of the difference even the tax is refunded. Also wish you could have shown or even mentioned the better quality items they have in watercolor.
@@HiThereHeyThere you’re obviously using a computer or phone, so sorry it’s already too late to worry about that. 🤷♀️ If you’re here looking at Temu reviews you probably don’t have a lot of spare money so nobody cares about your info other than to send the right ads to your social media
Why, are you going to fall for her biased opinion. I've bought some great stuff from Temu. Granted, not all my purchases were great, but most were. I even got my 72 Kalour pencils set, which are in a beautiful case, for free.
It's not even just an issue of value per dollar, but particularly bad art supplies can discourage young artists by making them feel like bad artists. When you don't have the experience to understand the medium and the shortcomings of said cheap products, they can feel like it's a skill problem. Do they need top of the line? No, but at LEAST a student grade and not garbage designed to be wrecked by children.
I am new to your channel, so I don’t know if you did a video like this before, but what I would personally find very helpful if you tried to paint with one of these cheap dye palettes in real time and explained as you go, how and why these paints fail at typical watercolour techniques. Like, what would happen if you did wet into wet with this paint? I want to know, but I don’t want to go out and get myself bad paint just to be able to understand this. Could you take one for the team?
Check the playlists on her channel page. She has done a series of reviews of mostly dye based watercolors with color mixing, wet in wet, and full painting demos. Some of the field tests (painting demos) are in separate videos from the reviews.
I hate that you're so negative. Thumbs down and I'm running away from here, which is a shame because I was counting on a fair and normal review Edit: I checked out your "art" which sucks as much as this review.
I think what you did was read something negative and then before trying the water color you you just went to negative and its really annoying not subscribing to you you talk too much lol
Wow, a very unbiased review, NOT!! I think you'd made your mind up that they were all going to be rubbish even before opening them, never mind trying them. I didnt bother to watch that far.
As far a data theft on app and after removing it... if you did it andwant it deleted.. factory reset. But have to remove everything & downloads folder stuff and sync bookmarks first. Or buy new phone and have store help you do that 😅
What's hilarious too about their advertising is that is clearly NOT someone who knows how to use a brush in the pictures. You don't just mash down the brush, that's how you ruin even a student grade brush. It's like "Ok, pretend you know what you're doing with a brush so we can get a picture" Person- Stabs paper with the brush "Close enough"
Cheap stuff has ALWAYS a price. If 'we' don't pay it then someone else has to. Most of the time it is those who can't speak for themselves. To be honest, I am so sick and tired of this modern imperialism. Our world could go to hell in a handbasket and we as consumers could stop it. Finding the cheapest sources for stuff is not a life accomplishment. Thanks for the review. Subbed today because of it.
Well i bought from the the app. Bought a few things. They were all useful. I used cash app to pay though. So afterwards i had deleted the app afterwards a little later when i started digging. Temus sister app aka Pinduodu got in trouble for malware. And was pulled among other things from what im listening. The US back in may has charged of possible data threats.. so guys and gals you have been warned..
Instead of talking and talking get to the point and quit judging just from looking LOL and we don't care what it says on the paper it's watercolor it's self-explanatory
I downloaded and thought to buy some Baohong Academy blocks but I changed my mind and now feel better since seeing this video... Thank God I never put in my payment info either...
I just came in this video... the only thing I could hear was 12x4 is 36... what... 48 is a better option... and than you say this is a 24 color palette... it's 36... 😂🫣😉 Don't worry I use schmincke professional watercolors... ❤
So it seems the scam isn't in the art supplies, but in the data we lost along the way😢

This was written in June 2023, temu is still selling in the US. I’ve gotten a lot of nice art supplies from them

You buy the cheapest color and than moan about it's cheap. There are much better colors still much cheaper as amazon and Co.

You do not seem to have high hopes about any products you are reviewing. Why is that? I am very curious.

Sine you already have the pallets, ditch the low grade paint and plastic and put your own colours in them. Always fun to repurpse what you can 😊
why so negative before you even have tried it?
It's all websites taking data though??
Do you want China having that data??
@@HiThereHeyThere they have all your data anyway. Literally every website takes data and sells it to third parties.

What would you suggest and have you ever used an old eyeshadow palette and made it into a watercolor palette?

I have found some good kitchen gadgets and sweatshirts from Temu. For the price, great to wear around the house!

Can't you use the backside of the paper to swatch other cheep paints? It pains me to see you swatch questionable watercolors on good paper 😂💔
