Roof rack made of 8020 aluminum with slinging solar panels. 800 Watts when fully deployed #vanbuild #campervan #vanlife #vanconversion #fordtransit #vanproject
This video shows only the sliding mechanism but what isn't shown is a lead screw that pushes and pulls it out and in by flipping a switch. The lead screw holds it in place firmly. If I'm worried that it might be necessary then I can bolt it in place but that would require a ladder.

This is "exactly" what I'm after. I'd love to get this... but I'm guessing it's not in production atm... and is still DIY?
Can these attach to roof rack cross bars on an SUV? If so, is this kit available for purchase? How much does it weigh?
Great idea. What sliders did you use for this project? Link please
Thanks! They are 8020 linear bearings. 8020.net
Does this lock in place or is there a chance to slide out on a turn? If it locks in do you have to get a ladder every time?

Great design! What size 8020 did you use?
Thank you! We used the 15 series
make it on the other side also, including all sites than you have an electric rv - mass production - billionar!
I do plan on selling an upgraded version of this soon. Another one on the other side is a great idea but it gets pretty heavy.
This is cool and all - but do you have a parts list and instructions? 😉
We plan on selling this as a kit soon
Have you started selling it uet @@ninjavans2778
How does the assembly weigh?
We don't know exactly but we can make the calculations and get back to you.
