Up to now, I still see scholars saying how we learned this and that from the Spanish. It doesn't make sense to me when China had many of those things before even the Spanish came. Like cotton, plow, building with cement etc. Why would the Filipinos wait for the Spanish to learn from when they had access to China and all the other countries around us like Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, India? We need to stop writing Philippine history from the point of view of colonialism. Maybe it's time to start overturning those statues...

Robert Vidal Agree, but its not easy to trust what our neighbors will tell us of our own ancient history. Coz I believe some of them are conspirators, have their own selfish motives & conniving with the higher power that’s keeping our Nation blinded from our real past. But if you want some glimpse of the past, watch God Culture, study Baybayin origin, Ophirian Heritage, Ophirian Garden, Kasaysayan Hunters. Many interesting Philippine artifacts, from Gold complex Goldsmithing ancient techniques, China Emperors Platinum Ding found in Philippines, and ancient Greek Armors found in Mindanao with PH endemic animal designs, Phoenician looking ancient boats in Philippines, Phoenician toys & currency beads, Egyptian ancient jars & vases, Tuli/Circumcision culture, Sabbath/Sabado rest day, etc.etc. you’d be so overwhelmed with proofs, only a fine thread to arrive in conclusion that Filipinos could be the Lost Tribes of Israel, the Northern Ten Tribes that got taken out from the land of ancient Israel.

Queen Seon Deok I follow those also, haha. But, in terms of historical records, China, Japan, Thailand have written records of their interactions with ancient Philippines. True that they would be biased but in reality most ancient records are biased. The Chinese thought they were the center of the world. The Romans called non-Romans barbarians, etc. But, there are facts that historians can glean from these records. In this case, we don’t just rely on Spanish records which only starts in 1521. Spanish records are also biased but we’ve based much of our national identity on them.

This was a momentous event in phil history because the sultan of sulu traveled and died there in China paying respect to ming emperor . This predates the fall of eastern Roman Empire in 1453. Can you imagine that the sultan reached china even before the fall of eastern Roman Empire. But it so sad that christian Filipinos belittle this achievement and even up to this days stick to their pre colonial history which is short of information and still searching for their pre colonial civilization. Remember phil history can not be completed without Muslim history

Russia is also both geographically asian and ethnically asian since they have ethnic minorities who are asian or "mongoloid". Asia is too big and i fear that it might hinder our unity, china, Korea and japan hate each other. Middle eastern countries hate Israel, Pakistan and India are fighting while the west is more peaceful with one another. I am all for an asian unity or economic and defense coalition but that isn't realistic from happening as we all hate each other.

In 1525 Emperor Charles V of Holy Roman Empire sent the Jeffrey Loisa expedition to Spice Islands, the Islands of Maluko and Ternate, to gain a foothold for the lucrative spice trade. One of the sailor is the 17 year old chronicler Basque Andres Ochoa de Urdaneta. Loiasa died in Ternate islands and Andres Ochoa become the leader and stayed in Ternate for 8 years frequently skirmishing against Portugueze in Maluko for the Sultan of Ternate.
Andres Ochoa de Urdaneta then come home to Spain through Portugal his records and a daughter with a Ternate princess left and confiscated in Portugal (see biography of andres de urdaneta).
Andres Ochoa de Urdaneta goes on to become a priest in Mexico and in 1565 accompany his cousin or nephew Miguel Lopez de Legaspi and witnessed the blood compact in Albor, Bohol between Datu Cik Katuna and Legaspi.
But why with Bohol Datu and not with other Datu. It is because Father Andres Ochoa de Urdaneta have known from Ternate that the Bohol Datu Cik Katuna is related to the Sultan of Ternate and that Bohol then was a trading post of Maluko and Ternate. The Monarch of Mindanao before Islam were related to monarch of Maluko, Ternate, Sumaterah, and Borneo. The municipality of Manolo Fortich in Bukidnon in pre islamic and pre christian time was called Maluko (see municipal profile of Manolo Fortich), and also another place is Malaybalay, City. This was how geography of ancient and medieval southeast asia was configured which is lost in our history.

He was the Sultan BATARASHA @ SULTAN SAIFUDDIN OF SULU
He was the reining sulu sultanate he ruled Sarawak, Brunei North Borneo and the Philippines archipelago during his period.
He is delegated with Ming dynasty to depend the sovereignty of entire territories under the jurisdictions of the Sultanate of sulu and he. He ruled also Brunei because his mother was the young princess of Brunei and his father was the Prince of sulu... Sultan Batara was was sign contracts with the Ming dynasty in China for importing weapons against the Spanish invasion,
How the The island in the south China sea got her names BUNGURAN ISLANDS and then transform to Natuna Island.?
At the early beginning the islands in the south China Sea was name BUNGURAN ISLANDS before the Sultanate of sulu and North Borneo was ruled all over the territories...The name BUNGURAN was derives from the Tausug word means A GROUPS or a SEVERAL GROUP or A FAMILY ... Example : in bunguran sin buwahan yaun natundun tundun hadja... (the groups of the lanzones fruits are so very much more in many branches)
In bunguran sin bituon yaun masawa landuh (tausug) = the family of the stars are very bright (English)
(Tausug) BUNGURAN ISLAND = (English) A GROUPS OF SEVERAL ISLANDS
After many decades the groups of islands was becames the pirates activity for the human trafficking, the pirates stolen peoples from Taiwan Vietnam and some parts of China takes and sell to Borneo as slaves the spanish was suspected the groups of islands was the home of several pirates..
Then the tausug begins to call the groups of the islands KAPUAN NATUNA... its mean the islands of the SUSPECTED pirates activity ... NATUNA (tausug) mean SUSPECTED (English)
NATUNA ISLANDS (Tausug) = SUSPECTED ISLANDS (English)
    (To be continue)

The Beginning of Poon Tao Kong in Sulu
The thriving Lannang (Chinese) community in the Sulu Archipelago meant the need for Chinese temple to support the spiritual needs of this community.
Thus were constructed the so-called "Poon Tao Kong", which have become colloquial term for Chinese temple on Jolo Island (at Jatî Tunggal, Indanan), Siasi Island and Bongao Island.
According to local narrative, during the maritime expedition of Zheng He, a representative was left in Jolo, and became somewhat the local Chinese ambassador on the island. His name was Pei Pei Hsien and when he died he was eulogized as "The Honorable Fountain Head", thus the Chinese term "Poon Tao Kong".
His remains was buried at Jatî Tunggal, Indanan, Sulu, where a temple was also constructed. The photos below are what remains of the place.
The Poon Tao Kong temple in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, is still in operation and maintain by the local Lannang community. A photo of the facade appears below.
We have no info as to the status of the Poon Tao Kong temple in Siasi, Sulu.

What used to be group of islands today known as Philippines was in the ancients a Sarruvassai of the first civilization in Mesopotamia, the Sumerian civilization which one of the ruler was Sargon and one of the city state was Ur. Reading in the ancient was from right to left Sarruvassai therefore can be translated as "vassal of ur king," because Ur is the city estate and Sar is a word which mean king as in Csar of Roman and Tsar of Russian. Gon is also king as in Agong of Malaysia, Sargon therefore mean King of Kings or Emperor. When the Sumerian cities was sacked by their enemies some of their nobles deserted and come to Mindanao the explaination why we have the Uranun tribe of Mindanao fierce fighter who fought against spaniards. UR-ANUN mean people of Ur.
When Harappa and Mohendro Daru, the second civilization which arose in India, their succeeding Monarch become the ruler of Southeast Asia through houses in Southern India to Sumaterah to Maluko to Mindanao. This explains why our ancients and medieval monarch used the title maharaja, raja, and datu. These mentioned pre philippine monarch such as raja of sugbu, raja of butuan, raja of maluko, raja of ternate, maharaja of Sumaterah were sanguinial descendants of raja of kingdoms of Southern India. I hope my little knowledge can contribute to discussion and understanding the past. I maybe wrong you can help research in google.

I asked myself why some tribes don't have many remnants of their pre-colonial cultures and the answer is simple, it's because we fought hard battles with the colonizers at the brink of extinction 🥲 we never gave up and alhamdulillah we are still here. So I think it's about time that Ph history recognize our heroes and not merely those who wrote books with foreign names. 🇵🇭 didn't started with Magellan. We are the people of resilience and courage. Magellan discovered the Philippines? We should rewrite Philippine history from our own viewpoint, not by colonizers like Zaide. When Sultan Batara went to China, the empire was already an economic and military superpower at that time. And yet the emperor treated him as an equal. Western economists acknowledged China as the largest economy in the world during that period until at the end of the 18th century.

Sabah is part of Sulu? Nope my ancestor Sultan Muhyiddin would give it to his cousin Sultan Sulu if Sulu help to win the civil war in Brunei. But unfortunately Sultan Muhyiddin won the war witout Sulu help, Sulu soldiers just after the war, includding Brunei mighty cannon, "Gantar Alam"(now in the hands of Phillipines) with them. But if they help Brunei empire would give the North of Sabah. Sulu was at that time is part of Brunei empire. (result of 3 brothers, Brunei Emperor Sultan Abdul Akhbar, 2nd brother King of Sarawak Sultan Tengah(Ibrahim) and youngest brother King of Sulu Sultan Mulwasit Bongsu(mother a princess from Sulu).

Ginoo!

I disagree sa "NO" part nyo sir, the way you say Ming Dinasty as part of China and Sulu to Philippines to emphasized that Philippines is not yet existed even Sulu hindi na gaanong kailangan. Ngayon nga parang alamat nalang ang tingin ng mga Pilipino sa Sultanate of Sulu, even you sir you say "NO". Sultanate of Sulu was established 1405, not 1450 so totoo na may ugnayan ang China at Pilipinas noon. So totoo na nag eexist sila more than the date that you given.

This happened in the early 1400s. Most of Spain during this time was still under Muslim rule. Spain only became a world superpower in the 1500s. England/Britain did not become a world superpower until the 1700s. So no, Spain and England were not the world superpowers of this time. 😊
