    In this video, I go over a new pipeline for compositing fully inside of Unreal Engine 5! In the video, I walk you through exporting a 3D tracked camera from After Effects into Unreal Engine, then setting up your footage to be locked to the camera view via the Image Plate Plugin in Unreal. This is a great workflow for bringing reference footage into Unreal Engine if you are creating a VFX shot in which you are compositing footage.
    Be sure to head over and check out the full step-by-step walkthrough on my website: boundless-reso...

    5:00 Is there any faster way to import pre-keyed footage than this? I'm making a film with green screen/virtual production like this, but honestly one of the major reasons I'm planning on using Blender instead of Unreal is because importing pre-keyed footage takes 5 seconds in Blender but seems like it's 5 minutes in Unreal. I've watched the tutorials and done it before but I can't imagine taking the time to go through that process for every single clip. Is there any easy way to replace the clip or speed that process up somehow?

      @@imiy actually labor optimization is working in a team. If you dont understand this, we have nothing more to speak about. And there cant be any automatizations as after effects doesnt have the tools to go straight into unreal engine, thats why cinema 4d is needed. But if you know to use the 3 programs, the stuff showed in this video are very simple.

      @@imiy adding more people is definitely one way of optimizing. Thats a fact. But there are also other ways. However, for the best optimization you would have a team working on different areas of a process while also optimizing every different area itself.

    Aren’t you being hypocritical/contradicting ending the rant on a product plug to do a “fully CG” render in unreal (with only one element: a person in green screen) that will “blow you away”? As an industry VFX Compositor for years I get tired of these millions of filmmaker channels too lazy to learn 3d tools in the industry to hacking a quick fix unreal engine comp. That’s lazy filmmaking, crapping on FX artists when you’re too lazy to pick up nuke or Maya or houdini but being another lazy gamer your ok with Unreals preset easy environment creation. My good friend spent a year on one FX shot in Black Widow. Did an amazing job. You guys are the same hipster crowd that cry’s “I want to shoot on film and not digital because it’s more organic!”.

    • @BoundlessEntertainmentFilms
      @BoundlessEntertainmentFilms  2 года назад +2

      You sound a tad bitter, friend. The point of my channel is to show people what I'm working on and, as someone whose primary focus is filmmaking, help guide people like me to the tools and techniques I've found helpful as I try to begin to push this realtime technology. Your assumptions about me as a person are completely incorrect (I haven't even touched a video game in years and I'm far from being a hipster) - but either way, nothing you've said makes my points incorrect, because objectively, they are correct. And to be fair, film is more organic because it's a chemical process and not a digital one. So by definition it is more organic 😉

      @@BoundlessEntertainmentFilms You know what we need? Filmmakers (more abundant then water) to get off their butts and press pen to paper and write a good script.
