    It’s here! The much anticipated and asked for Curly Hair Tutorial! And I literally did something different last week and LOVEEEEE it. I know you’re here for it soooo… when I was ready to style my hair the other day, I wet it again and then I did not even towel dry it or anything. I let it drip in the bathtub and I applied my Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask. I worked that in all over and then I did use my fingers to squish out some of the water but I was still dripping like crazy. And then I applied my hair products as shown in the video and I kept scrunching my hair. My hair was still super super wet but not dripping on me and I started diffusing my hair and scrunching. I did not put in my clips until my hair was about 40% dry.
    Try what I am suggesting at least once! Don’t dismiss it until you have tried it. And SCRUNCH your hair the ENTIRE time. With all that being said, you do have to find what works best for you. And what amounts of products work best for you.
    However I completely forgot some VERY IMPORTANT details in the video!! My shampoo and conditioners!! Curly hair LOVES moisture and NEEDS it. I love Moroccan Oil shampoo and conditioner (and they smell divine). I quit using them though a couple years ago because they are expensive. Little by little, my hair started not doing as well as it used to. And I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. We went out of town and my travel size bottles are little miniatures of Moroccan oil. I was excited to use my old fave and it still smelled amazing of course. After I shampooed my hair and styled it, my hair was back to its old self. It looked amazing! The moisture and the quality of the ingredients in products matters so much. Never forget… #CurlyHairLovesMoisture

    Finding someone who legitimately knows curly hair and actually listens to you (because it’s your hair and you know how it acts!) is the absolute most stressful endeavor of my life. I’ve got to the point of doubting anybody who says “I gotcha”. Because they never do

      It is so hard to find a curly stylist. I went to a Deva stylist and she didn’t have curly hair and only had the Deva training because a client paid for it. She totally missed the mark with my haircut!! Recently I went to a new stylist and she nailed it! I always tell my clients when looking for a stylist, look for someone who’s hair you like, and ask them who they go to.

    I am SO happy your video showed up in my feed! I realized after seeing your hair wet that it's exactly the same as mine. I used to do my hair like you did in this video 5 years ago, but as I started watching curly methods on RUclips and adopting what they were saying to do, over time I was having less success. You've allowed me to realize that it's because their hair is curly when it's wet! Mine isn't. So, I'm going to return to doing what you demonstrated starting tomorrow morning!

    Thank you for making this video. Since I've gotten a lot of gray, my curls have changed and I have been struggling with a routine, etc. to get my hair the way I would like it. I , indeed, loved my 80's hair, too! I really feel like after watching this video I can get my hair the way I would like it and maintain it. I just got my hair cut very similarly to yours last week. 🤩🤩 Thank you for explaining how you do your hair at night, too!

    Hi there🩷 your channel just popped up on my feed! I have started wearing my hair curly for the last five years. I used to straighten it but I am not doing that anymore and my hair has been healthy and growing. I am loving my curls I have a problem with the top of my head going flat, even after I blow dry it upside down, and I put clips in it and a little bit of hairspray, I am going to try what you did by applying the product while my hair is dripping wet because my hair does get dry on the ends and then I have to spray it and add more product and I have had a haircut recently. my hair looks straight when it’s wet it’s very thin and when I work on it and scrunch it and blow it upside down the curls come out nice but I’m going to try what you did I’m going to pin it up like you did, I use the Hair claws but when I pull them out it pulls on the hair. Thanks for the tutorial. Can you show us what you do in between the two days that you wash your hair do you wet it? What do you do if you don’t mind thank you thank you thank you thank you! Your hair is beautiful, have a great day🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

      I love all your comments! Thank you so much! I have seen videos where people use those big hair claws and I have thought that that might give you volume in weird places. I think with hair that is finer, even my little two pronged clips can be a little scary. If that makes sense.
      I just made a video and I’m gonna post it tonight on what my hair looked like this morning. And I want to continue to make more morning videos because mostly my hair looks great in the morning. I really do just push it up and make sure I don’t sleep directly on it. And I’m obsessed with making sure I do not sleep on it!! if I roll over, I make sure I’m not sleeping on it!

    Lenora, I use Kenra 25 hairspray. Do you think it is close to the Aerogel in hold? Kenra is expensive enough but I can get it at several online sites and they have sales. The aerogel is even more expensive. Besides Amazon I really can’t find it at any of the online shops except ebay but not at any discount. I tried your method about scrunching while drying my hair and it worked great. I’m glad you came across my RUclips feed. Your hair looks great!

    • @undeniably_lenora
      @undeniably_lenora  8 месяцев назад +1

      I’m glad your hair did great!! Yay!!
      On the Kenra, I don’t think I’ve used Kenra styling products in forever but no, it’s not the same. Nothing compares to Aerogel. It is pricey! Years ago my distributor quit carrying it and so I just thought I wouldn’t sell it anymore. And I had clients bringing me their empty cans and showing me that there’s a phone number on the back. They all asked me to please call this number and find the hairspray. Of course now we don’t have to do that because it is available in other places. But 20 years ago they were desperate. I’ve been selling for a very long time!!
      It’s a medium hold hairspray that thinks it’s a gel. And when you spray it on your hair it helps to define your curl. I spray it on and then scrunch it in. And it makes your curls look better. I know, it’s crazy. They do have a smaller can that I think should retail for about $8 to $10. You might could try it and see what you think.
      Thank you for watching! And thank you for your comment! ❤️❤️

    Your hair looks fantastic!!! I love to do mine the same way. Crazy and curly and big! Lol nothing at all wrong with that. I will say that I am a deva curl girl also. The curling coconut styling cream is my favorite and I've found if I mix it with the briogeo flax seed coil out curl gel I get the most compliments on my hair. Usually go the same side but sometimes switch it up. I often have a hard time with get volume but still the frame of shorter layer. Dies that make sense? Thanks if you have any thoughts.

    • @undeniably_lenora
      @undeniably_lenora  7 месяцев назад

      Hi! Thanks for commenting! I would recommend the same products, just use a lot less. When you say your hair is wavy/curly, that sounds similar to mine, except mine is thick. I use the deva curl gel for hold and the cream to make it soft. I would still recommend leaving in conditioner but just use a green pea’s worth. Maybe 2 green peas!
      And then you’ll have to pay attention to how much product you use in general and how it worked. That is the frustrating part! But once you find your magic formula, it will al be worth it.

      I am posting one tonight. But I hope it’s not a disappointment!! I don’t have to “refresh” my curls but I show how I sleep and revive my hair in the morning. I plan to do several morning videos because my hair really still looks good when I wake up, but sometimes it doesn’t!!

    Hi lm kym 61yo, dry, frizzy hair..only one product makes my hair soft & curly...Schwarzkopf Silhouette VLOT (flexible hold nourishing creme).

      Curly hair is a definite learning process. Schwarzkopf is a great product line. I wonder if that cream is similar to the Devacurl? But when you find something that works, stick with it!

    Hi - where do you live? I need a specialist. Have you tried a silk pillowcase and silk bonnet? They work wonders for sleeping and keep the hair smooth.

      Hi! I’m in Nashville but I’m currently overbooked and can’t take new clients. Maybe in January?? Idk what happened but I blame 2020! I’ve always been busy but this is ridiculous! 🤣 steelmagnoliasnashville.com

      And no I haven’t tried a silk pillowcase. I’ve heard mixed reviews and I think a bonnet would make me sweat. Do you use either?

      @@undeniably_lenora awww - that's okay, I'm in NC. :)

      @@undeniably_lenora I hear that! I didn't use anything at first. Then I tried the pineapple - meh. Plus I get headaches so it hurt my head. So I finally tried a silk pillowcase - AWESOME - helps with healthier skin but also my hair was less frizzy and didn't look too bad in the morning. I really loved it.
      But then I added a loose fitting, single layer silk bonnet and turned it inside out - I was afraid I would sweat too. I don't sweat at all and the results are fantastic! Even less frizz and my style lasts for days and days! If you tuck the bonnet behind your ears, it will keep you cooler as well. It helps that I have a pillow with cooling material in it. :)

      I’m so glad you found something that worked! I might have to give that a try! I’ll keep an eye out for a bonnet. This is a great time to purchase anything with everyone having a sale. And I’ll do anything to keep my hair looking good! 💁🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️

    Do you cut your own hair?? Could you give tips to us curly/wavy girls as to what to ask our stylist to give volumn...ive had such a horrible time im about ready to cut my hair all off...help!! THANK YOU!!

    • @undeniably_lenora
      @undeniably_lenora  4 месяца назад +1

      lol I do cut my own hair but I have stylists cut it also. For lots of volume I would suggest getting layers and blow your hair dry upside down.
      The only reason I cut my own hair is because I will get a wild hair (pun not intended! 🤣) and I will think my hair needs a little something something. Or sometimes one hair is just hanging down way longer than the others and it’s time to trim that off.

      Thank You for your time & technique info. I'm a SUPER FRUSTRATED Curly/wavy girl. With loads of products that I just cant find the perfect combo to. I did just order the aerogel spray and clips...Its Taken me long time to get the length I have...I've also been to two Curly specialists and I'm no more satisfied with what they did for their very HIGH $ cost than my normal stylist. Too long on top/sides & too heavy.......again THANK YOU!! Im enjoying your curly/wavey info!! 🩷🩷

      Those curly specialists are so expensive!!! I went to one and she messed my hair style up. I don’t know if I have said that before. I’m actually struggling with products right this second. I think I got some bad product and I’m trying to weed it out. But in my frustration I am purchasing every curly product I can right now!!

    Any tip for VERY frizzy hair?!
    My hair is frizzy even when it’s straight out of the shower and soaking wet 🥲
    Is say my hair is like a 2b/2c, medium density and very voluminous.

      I’ve seen videos for your hair type! The one thing that’s similar to my hair is that you need lots of product.

      I started using mop top leave in and curl gel. My frizz is almost gone and better curl retention. My curls love the bit of protein in the product.
