Very nice job on the sliders. I like your no nonesense approach to Jeep building. Here in the midwest, affordable XJs that aren't rust buckets are unicorns, but I enjoy watching your projects to see if there are things I could adapt to upgrade my flat fender. I saw on the tv recently that what looked like your wheeling area was getting hit with extreme snowfall, I hope it isn't too much. As always, Thanks for posting!

@@4WDAdventureCrew As a 60 plus Y/O California resident. This is the Truth. Two years of heavy rainfall, 10 years of Drought. It's always been this way. I don't know if they are still there anymore. Donner Lake. When I was a little kid there were a couple of dead trees cut off 20' above the ground. That was the snow level when they were cut for firewood.
FYI, Hardrock Offroad sells a DIY rock slider kit for the XJ.
Name it cherry. Any song with cherry in its name rocks. So it should work for an XJ

I have a 2011 Xterra S but there is a 2000 XJ for sale near me. It came from South Carolina, it has 217K on it and it looks great in the photos. I'm trying to talk myself into buying it but I really don't need it.

I learned a lot watching this video! Thanks for sharing! I may need to re-consider my whole rock slider set up now... I installed the WJ pump the same way! It works great! Just wondering how you installed the hydro assist to your stock looking diff cover? Is that strong enough? Thinking about doing the same thing, but I currently have a nodular iron cover. My jeep's name is The Red Baron because it has borrowed parts from all kinds of other jeeps, and is an "Ace" by now, and it had a loud howl going down the highway, it sounded like an airplane... until the transfer case exploded. LOL
Stock looking cover is reinforced, and hydro does not make huge force on the diff cover when we had steering stabilizer it was good and you just need to check bolts like anything else, but that location might change because of the clearance of the track bar. it was late night and Dana 30 is small axle Lol
@@4WDAdventureCrew Makes sense, I was thinking along similar lines! I built my 30 with sleeves, and chromolly shafts, spartan locker, WJ knuckles, and Ruff Stuff trackbar brace. Had to relocate passanger sway bar bracket. The D30 u-joints are the same size as the 44, which is the best failure fuse in my opinion. You also get more ground clearance under the diff. I'm not building a rock crawler though, just a reliable DD and camping/overlanding, travel rig. I built my front axle with the idea that I could go into any automotive store or junk yard in the country and get spare parts at anytime, it's very stock-ish.
@@sirthrival4601 yeah That Green Jeep has the axles of my White jeep and that Dana 30 is fully built with cromo axle shafts ARB and Big Truss so it will last long time for the Kid
The Jeep is supposed to be Redrum, the trail murdering machine but, the little red Jeep is probably what it will end up named ha ha hahah ah ahaa ha
