This is really useful for me. We have been trying to create something like this where the images must be selected in the correct order as they go to training videos with overlay knowledge check questions. No quite there yet with the timeline and conditioning.
Paul I love this, I am using it with a narration introduction but each time I click on the object half way through the narration to go to another slide, it continues the main narration, it won't stop.
Dear Paul, First of all, thank you very much for the amazing and extremely helpful work you do here on your channel. Watching your videos, I've changed my mind about Captivate, i.e., first it seemed to me to rigid and not user-friendly, not intuitive. But your videos and the way you explain things have actually made me understand that all the limitations Captivate's inbuilt features have are actually for the user's sake, those are good-practice examples. Secondly, I have been struggling with activating a simple audio-player in all new Captivate. Is it possible to run one wiht a javascript? I mean the one not tied to the timeline, independent sort of. In general, can you please also shoot a video on examples of using a javascript in Captivate 12? The video where created an audio player for the older version is great, but that method (drag-dropping a zip with an html code and audio file) just doesn't work in 12. Please help. 💙💙💙
The video you're referring to requires a web object that cannot be done in the new Captivate. You can submit suggestions for features and report bugs directly to Adobe using this link: adobe.com/go/cp_user_voice
It could be that you are using a version earlier than the one I was using. For example, I think I was using Adobe Captivate 12.3. If you have version 12.2 you will have to update your version to the latest version to open it (perhaps).

Glad it was helpful!
Exactly the solution I was looking for!! Thanks Paul!
@@marya1281 you're welcome and thanks for watching.
Fantastic video, Paul. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it

I would review the video and make sure you haven't missed any steps.

Wondering what I'm doing wrong with the project files - they download but when I try to open them in Captivate I just get an endless spinning wheel.

I just downloaded it from the same link and it opens in 12.4 (the latest).
@@CaptivateTeacher are there any templates that work in 12.1?
@@prinnab I always use the most up-to-date version. I recommend you update your copy or request your IT department to update it for you.
@@CaptivateTeacher yes I tried that but the org just got 12.1 and I’m told it will be awhile before we update. Need 12.1 templates.
