I recently took a 2 year hiatus from minecraft while going through my senior year of high school and my first semester of college. I decided to get back into the game, but found myself completely lost. I had used to watch your videos, so I rewatched your entire let's play to refamiliarize myself with the game and catch up on the ins and outs of the new updates. Along the way, I realized that what you do is amazing - you've put so much time and effort into doing what you love and making people happy. I know you probably think you don't affect too much in the world, but if more people were like you, the world would be a better place. Thanks for reading, and keep on keepin' on!

etho, in your water stream near the entrance, put a dispenser at the top and a hopper at the bottom and connect them using hoppers and then put fish in the dispenser so it looks like there are fish swimming down the stream

That's a really cool idea! Hope etho sees this. My only worry would be having the fish group together going down the stream. However, this can easily be fixed with some fancy etho redstone.

Etho! There's an easy way to solve the Iron golem overpopulation and the aggressive pigmen! Just set up a portal to move the iron golems from the farm to the Zombie Pigman farm. This way they'll both kill each other and you'll never run out of golems! Plus you already have a collection system set up!

Etho! You should make a giant snack machine that dispenses cookies, meats, bread, cakes, and crapples. Every letsplay episode you will start off at the machine and will grab a snack, right when you say "Get your snacks!"
You could replace that wall with a window to add some detail and so you can look at the cave below.

Watching your videos brings back memories, And I have to say this: You, Etho, are the only reason Im still into minecraft. Back 2 years ago all my friends played the game and we'd play factions and have fun raiding other factions and abandoned towns. Skip foreward 1 and a half years and now all my friends have moved on to games like Halo, Team Fortress 2, and (Rarely) CoD. While I was one of the ones who went with TF2 I wouls still watch minecraft videos, but as time went on I lost interest... Except for 1 RUclipsr. You never ceased to unimpress with your projects, wether It was redstone or Asthetics I saw most of them and enjoyed each one I saw. Thank you, Etho. Thank you for making Extraordinaryly amazing content.

If you make part of it stained glass, you can oversee over areas of the Man Cave. The main problem would probably be the over side. If they ever introduce one way glass into mine craft, though, then it would be perfect for looking down at your other projects from above and being able to see how amazingly you built all of the Man Cave.

+Kiley C LPers of his size and upload schedule can afford to live off full-time youtube. Channels like CGP Grey and JonTron have slower upload rates because of the time it takes to make a new video, so they rely on donations and sponsorships, respectively.
remember, Etho has 1.8 million subs. he seems small time because he's so humble and makes corny jokes but he makes a healthy living off this.

He does not celebrate Christmas, and actually went to the extent of refusing all Christmas gifts on the Mindcrack server.
Etho, placing a boat on a slime block will launch u in the air and using a slimeblock with a piston can push a boat sideways at high speed by placing a boat on a torch. This is a great way of traveling and maybe something you can use in the amplified base.
The reason why the 1st fight you took more damage is because you were protected from some of the blasts (explosions) but not he actual damage the Wither heads do themselves. The explosive heads do base damage and explosive damage. So even though you were receiving a low amount of explosive damage you still felt the pain of base damage. Blast Protection armor only protects against the blast, and the blast only. Protection armor, on the other hand gives you protection from any damage taken, unlike the blast protection which is only geared towards damage taken from explosions. ( You can examine something similar to this with blazes. If you drink a fire resistance potion you take no damage from the fire of the blaze, but from the impact of the fireball hitting you, same thing with wither heads and blast protection.) Protection enchanted armor protects you from any damage that is taken. So it is the best enchant you can get if you are looking to not take damage.

Etho add wheat/carrot/potato crops to the entrance areas! youve always used them as decoration and its like a defining characteristic of the man cave that isnt really used elsewhere!
Also dont forget piston glowstone floor lights that you can hide in the wood path borders!
Also put a mix of cobble and gravel at the end of the secret passage to make it looked like a blocked off collapsed tunnel!
Also the hermitcraft doughnut is a good replacement for your RIP gold farm! Its a fully afk exp farm as well as a gold farm!
You could build a house or some kind of building around the entrance to the cave so it looks like a normal home, then you walk in and BOOM there's your amazing cave. Keep up the good work btw

scratch that, people are saying make it an entrance/ balcony sort of looking over that other area of the man cave... that sounds good but you could also do it to use your wings, and get to that place easier
I liked the spherical entrance roof more, but this is also great. Yeah, you will need to rewatch all those episodes and write the comments all over again, oh but when you do that, make a document or two on your computer containing those comments. so if this happens again, you can just go there and copy it, saving you a lot of time. Also, if it wasn't for you, I don't think I would have started playing Minecraft again, it was boring because it (my world) was plain and with straight lines in the terrain, so thank you for giving me inspiration.

Things you can do with the plain wall: connect it to the other part of the cave with stairs, a waterfall etc., make a glass wall or a balcony so you can see the other part of the cave.

Hey Etho, for your entrance you should make a giant tree, almost like your going through the base of the tree, and the pillars could be a little like roots. That way you can see your base from anywhere. I've been with this Chanel since 1,000 subs. I've loved and will keep loving your videos for as long as your on youtube. Merry Christmas Etho. For the man cave entrance you should make the quarter sphere darker in color to make it look more like a cave from a far, maybe use brown clay, dark oak, and spruce. And then for the stairs of the entrance, you should leave the first part of the stairs the way it is and then split the stairs after the platform into two pieces that make a circle around a waterfall and then the stair meet back up with each other at the beginning of the cave. Just a suggestion that I think would look really cool.
Etho! You should make a huge tree as your entrance. You can make your entrance be inbetween the roots!

Etho! With the spot where the stone wall is and you don't know what to do there try maybe putting a balcony overlooking the man cave. And with the entrance maybe also trying a huge dark oak forest so it seems as if your entering a huge underground fortress. I personally think that would be awesome. -Blair

Yeeeeeeeah, I built my golf farm based of of that design. Took me months of resource gathering, building, falling, dying, and hair pulling out. But I finally finished it... a week before the snapshot that broke it came out. Same snapshot broke my Enderman farm too. yipee!
Etho, for the lighting in the hallways you could always carpet the edges, with lighting underneath. That could work, if bushes don't look good enough.
I recently started to use the snapshots and I have a warning for you, Etho. In my world all item elevators that use the mechanic of items being send to fences and then being pushed up through blocks stopped working in my world, which would mean that the ones you're using in the Nexxus might be affected, too. I thing that happened somewhere in the 11w47-snapshots. From looking at it, I think they've changed the way items interact with fences, so I installed a piston tat pushes the items into the glassblocks to solve this. That kind of works, but there are some strange new interactions like on my first try the items came out way sideways from where they should have - I think that happens when the items are still moving when they are pushed and I solved that by making it so the water doesn't go to the middle block of the elevator and by reoving the ice under the elevator. Also I had items flying up above the top of the elevator. In my survival world I kept that as a cool little feature, but in creative I solved that by covering the whole top of the elevator with hoppers.
So TL,DR: The Itemelevators you use in the Nexxus might have stopped working. I found a rough workaround, that I descriped above.
the wither skulls are a projectile that deal their own damage, on impact of the ground is when they deal blast damage
MAN I know that this would be hard, but could you imaging how cool the man cave would look if you replaced all of the Oak logs with dark oak logs!!! Holy mama!
In snapshots there is no more lighting math. In fact, this was changed way back in 1.8 (the current full release version at least). The reported light level is the level at your feet now.

I have done some experimenting with the piston transport system and I find it works better if the piston is pulling your head rather than your feet. It is more reliable in a laggy situation even if you have it at 1 tick delay
Protection maxes out at level 12, so if you have 12 levels of protection altogether, or three armor pieces with protection 4, you get the same amount of protection from 4 armor pieces with protection 4. The 4th piece should be a specific enchantment relating to what you're doing at the moment, blast prot for explosions proj prot for projectiles, etc.
Etho, maybe you could turn the stone wall near the entrance into stained glass so you could look over the stuff through the man cave or maybe it could be like a wall of paintings and you could use slabs and colored carpets as like paint! This could be like a giant painting area.

For the entrance, sink grow some trees 2 blocks in the ground along the edge (so the leaves are more one the ground) and then remove the trunks. It'll give more of a full look and will look heaps more natural than u could ever build

Etho, instead of having the entrance with leaves in the quarter-sphere you should build a tree and have the roots twist and turn over the entrance in that area! I think it would still look nice with leaves/wood as the backdrop!
I think Grannypa Witherbottom looks just fine at the library, to be honest! Moving them to the Underground Village would be a travesty, they wouldn't fit there. Sure, the face is pretty big, but in my opinion, it just adds to the library's charm!
For the plain looking wall just open it up so you can see over the other side, maybe put vines or glass or fence or whatever you want.
Etho finished a project? :O one of the firsts episodes I have ever watched of this series was actually etho starting it, so it was good to see that after 100+ episodes of hiatus he did it!

Since the gold farm is pretty much broken, you should make a masive nether portal structure with trapdoors and hoppers. Occasionally, a zombie pigmanwill spawn, but don't make an individual giant portal. It will not increase spawn rates, wastes obsidian, and may or may not bring ghasts through.

Etho just a little trick for lighting in the man cave, you can place down a torch and then put an armor stand ontop of it, and put armor on it and then you will have light without seeing the torch :D
Etho, for the area with the stone, I would recommend using ores and vines to make a berry bush.
That plain wall is craving for some paintings
Hey Etho, for the entrance, instead of using glowstone, move your beacon down there to provide light. Also, for the plain stone wall at the entrance, cover every block with paintings! :P

On the stone wall make it all even with the stone that has to be there so it doesn't peek to the other area. So, you should build a flat Etho head and then use maps to make your head on the wall like your cow area world map. It would be awesome!!
