The LOT polish airlines experience seems like a nightmare. I definitely don't want to engage with the points broker for exactly this reason. My wife was earlier contacted by a travel agent offering an amazing low cost business class air deal, but when I checked for the reviews for those agents I found they were points brokers and had pretty poor reviews. I use learnings from your video to make my own points booking. Thanks a lot for the information
⛲ No way will Noir ever be matched to Ambassador. Bonvoy Ambassador will be lucky to see MGM Platinum. Also, the Centurion card comes with Bonvoy Gold. It wasn't shown in the list. Realistically the Black Card should be at least Bonvoy Platinum. I'm not sure why Amex lets it stay with such low status when they give Platinum status to the Brilliant card.

⛲ I recently was a victim in a variation of the phone number scam. I phoned a United Air customer service # that I saw on the United website. The person who answered pretended to be with United but was actually a ticket consolidator called FareMasters (aka PCM Travel). I was trying to buy a biz class ticket that I had reserved on the United website but unable to use a credit I had. Before I figured out the scam, the consolidator had commandeered my account. Result was that the only way I could buy the ticket at that price was to pay the consolidator $200+ as a commission. I think the phone number I called was an old United number, or possibly that there is someone at United who is in cahoots with PCM.
I just got Explorist status at Hyatt thanks to the Bilt deal, and immediately status matched to MGM Gold while it was still possible. It'd be awesome if I could now match to Platinum Elite once the partnership goes live. Hoping for a new status match merry-go-round between Bonvoy and MGM 🙏

I’m no noob to security and I had a very long and complicated passport, which only means that the individual who logged into my account was informing for the Ministry of State Security. When I called Cathay about the alert and talked to them they wanted me to send them my passport. I was livid and replied with, “Let me get this straight, someone logged in with a practically uncrackable password and you want me to send you my passport?” For background information, I would be someone of interest to the MSS. I will NEVER fly Cathay Pacific or ANY PRC airline EVER! I recommend everyone else avoid them too. They have been known to lock up economists simply for doing their job. You’ve been warned.

I ditched the Amex Bonvoy Brilliant card after the annual fee increase, but still remain Platinum for the rest of the year. Switched to Chase Bonvoy Boundless, which only gets you Silver by itself, but I have the Amex Platinum card, which gets you Gold, and the Bonvoy point earning factors with the Boundless are pretty much the same as Brilliant. So at least through this year and next, I will get to be Platinum.

Thank you for not taking point brokers as sponsors; while I'm not one to unilaterally side with Big Credit/Airlines, these programs exist because of the inefficiencies--points brokers make it way more difficult to justify these programs for the credit card and airline companies, and so dangling the carrot becomes a lot less tempting to them. I was already looking into getting a hotel card to complement my P2's Hilton card; looks like Bonvoy is the way to go.
I have the World of Hyatt card, and I love it, but I do want to get into another hotel chain. Initially, I was set on getting the Hilton Surpass, but now that Marriott got MGM properties, it changes things a bit. I live in Las Vegas, and my family and I like doing staycations.
