It’s been about 3 months since the build. Have any issues that you would change if you would do it again?
No real issues, works great. I recently smoked two pork butts using the baffle plates, and it worked perfectly. If I were to do anything different? I do plan on using the CNC I built and making a charcoal tray so I can use it to grill as well. It will sit right below the cooking grate.
Thanks for the update.
Very nice Joe! I'm wanting to build something very similar...more in line with the mini chud box. I have an offset smoker and don't plan to incorporate the smoker feature that you did. This should make my build somewhat simpler. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Mark, I appreciate the feedback.
Do you have another channel, Yes Welder?
This is my only channel, I also do videos for YesWelder
Nice looking cooker.
Thanks
can you share dimensions for the lip on the lid?
I used 2 x 1 c channel and 1 inch flat bar to make the bottom lip
@@harbaughsworkshop Thanks! I fabricated today and guessed the top lid lip at 6"??
@@harbaughsworkshop I think you did an outstanding job on this video and your build. thanks, again!
@way1234ne my front lip of the lid is 7 1/2 inches. While using the baffle plates, there is plenty of room for smoking pork butts
@way1234ne thanks, I love cooking on it. At some point, I will be making a charcoal tray that will slip under the cooking grate to cooking burgers, steaks, etc
