I flew from Denver to London heathrow, in May, we came in from the northwest, and made a turn to line up on 27L, as we made the turn I was able to look right at this airport, and the O2 arena.
Steve MetalHammer not just to, but I did take a day and go to the Olympic sites, and that is obviously one of them. I was there for a week, saw all the museums, platform 9 3/4, rode the eye. Didn’t take the tower bridge tour, maybe next time.
Really nice video! Beginning at about 7:12 into the video, the steep glide slope into LCY can be seen (at least to me) by watching the relative position of the bottom of the flaps to the roof of the “large warehouse building” (for lack of a better desc,) as the plane flew past the bldg. I think the plane had just flown over the tall bldgs of the Canary Wharf district, so it was safe for the flight crew to “drop into London City airport.” 😅. Interesting too were the spoilers being deployed for the 2nd half of the vid until touchdown. Happy Landings. 🛬
Is London city always this gloomy? The third video of a landing in London City, and it's always overcast. Don't get me wrong, beautiful city... just curious.
If I were you I would be silent. Your comment shows that you don't know nothing about this route. It's logical that on the flight from JFK the plane doesn't need to be refilled.@@user-ky6vw5up9m
I love London Now I’m COMPLETELY lost! My original query pre-supposed that any plane small enough to land at London City would be too small to fly from NY to London!
I like London, but i wouldn’t want to fall into the Thames river, raw sewerage goes in there, it always looks brown. Thank God my rivers and lakes in Switzerland are clean and i can swim in them without having to think i’m swimming in sh*t.
The river is brown because its tidal and an Estuary, you don't have those in Switzerland. The amount of poo in the Thames these days is tiny compared to 200 years ago.
So jealous! Always wanted to fly on a babybus!!! I have never seen the 318 but it looks very smooth from this video! The landing was great!

Shit! Amazing final approach!
Where had the flight originated?
It’s designated ‘JFK - LCY’! Surely it hasn’t crossed the Atlantic from New York?
@@user-ky6vw5up9m It doesn't do a fuel stop JFK-LCY (only the LCY-JFK needs a fuel stop in SNN).

Why do you think that BA doesn't fly from JFK to LCY?
