My question is, what hair brush are you using? It seems to be easily gliding through your long hair. That is always an issue with me. Trying to find a brush that grabs yet is still smoothing.
The Shark doesn't give rthe smoothness of the Dyson especially with Dyson's smoothing attachment. There dryer in the 80-150 range that, in my personal opinion that do as good or better of a job than the Shark. And, there are great diffuser attachments available. So, you can spend even less and get a better system than the Shark. Dyson is worth teh money to me but if someone doesn't want/need to spend that much money, then there are great dryers out there.
