They aren't matching because it was their Wizard of OZ night, they match on the night of the finals. The half man in the group is the tenor Joseph DeRoza.
Not to take anything away from this great championship quartet, but barbershop is dangerously straying away from its original core values. Contemporary songs are rarely conducive to great bonafide barbershop arrangements with archetypal circle of fifths implied harmony and dominant 7th's. What is needed are song writers in the barbershop style as opposed to modern songs being "forcefully" arranged in a somewhat barbershop resemblance. I understand that the Society needs to grow and evolve with new generations, and that modern singing material might be more enticing. But the art and science should still be preserved by encouraging witty arrangements of "barbershop songs", instead of force fed arrangements of poor modern material. I expect many of you to disagree...
Arranged by Clay Hine
Thanks for saying this!
Ooo
As with many others, NF4 introduced me to barbershop. I always wonder why they never win, but oh my god this is the competition
NF4 actually got 5th this year! Though everyone in the 10 was incredible as well! They're gonna get there! (Also this is from the Semi-Finals lol)
They are going to get there
Amazing winners!!!!! So much fun to see them this year!!! Can't wait for Tony's 6th!
And the first one he won with his son
I can wait if it means we get more awesome music from this foursome!

Terrific wardrobe evocative of the lion, tin woodsman, scarecrow & Wonderful Wizard of Oz!
Josh is Dorothy actually, note the ruby slippers
Good grief, I'm STILL so obsessed with this quartet.
And now they're Champions to boot! Congratulations to one of my favorite champs in recent years!
chris keough has the smoothest tone of any bass i've ever heard. please sing me to sleep my good sir
It’s nuts how good he is
That makes the second bass named Chris in two years
This entire bass line is unfair

what about Anthony Bartholomew
@@Bowling_Dude That was my first thought too
Josh Szolomayer post is so effortless, well done guys!
So good, all of them. The bass is my favorite, though. Rock solid.
Any quartet with Tony as a baritone is half way there. Great work.
Called it. I knew this was their year, no question about it.
They didn't have lemon squeezy and Stockholm Syndrome trying to steal the show this year

I loved seeing these suits the last time, so glad they brought them back!
There is so much joy in this performance!! I can’t get enough!!
So good. Each one is a soloist. Kept my attention and made me happy.
Clay Hine is great and all, but can we please give their costume designer his or her flowers
I hope these guys sing together for a long, long time
Most of us thought they would sing "Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead" again.
But their performance was beyond imagination.
I thought that way too! 😁❤️
This was the smoothest transition! Incredible
Outrageously good! The horns were so tight as well 😂
WOOHOO!!! I love it!!! My Dad in heaven I bet is smiling too!!!
hello 👏 thats a gold medal quartet right there
HELL YEEEEAH! Funnest song Ive listened to from a quartet, no joke and they deserve the win
wow...more more Chris, Tony, Joshua and Joseph!!!!!! what a quartet!!!
So happy to see Tony in full bloom again!!

Close...I'm pretty sure Acoustix won their first time out in 1990, and so did Dealer's Choice in 1973. This definitely was a speedy rise to the top!!
Third time Tony's won in his second year (Keepsake and Platinum too)
@4partharmony208 first time without Joe Connelly then
2:29 - 2:35 is THAT part for me.Chris' "Gotta keep on moving" is like being taken back to Soul Train. Amazing performance! Truly glad these guys won!
Damn Chris is so so smooth .. This entire thing gets played every time it pops up in my algorithm. Congrats guys . ..
Very pleased your quartet won the competition. As a former Sweet Adeline, I am definitely a fan!
Amazing
I love that they all represent a character from the Wiz.
Brilliant!
The minute I heard those horns I knew they were champs
Gave me Main Street vibes those horns! ❤️🔥
Perfect way to start my day!!
MAN, this is solid!!! Incredible performance!
One of the most fun arrangements I’ve seen! ❤️
oh i love the wiz representation. this arrangement is too fun. such a fun watch!
Wow!
Fun!!
So so good
WOW!!
As the song progressed, it just kept getting better and better.
Goosebumps on my goosebumps!!! Wow!!! ❤️🎶❤️🎵‼️
Incredible!
Why's the audio quality this year so fuzzy? Last year was so crisp. But 3.5 make anything sound good.
Yeah I also noticed that, the mics sound weird this year I swear it’s different every year
Who else can get away with silver lamé(sp?) suit?
Damn their sound and timing, no wonder they won.
Honey, stop what you are doing! BHS just dropped a video.
👏👏👏👏
😍
And now ladies and gentlemen we know why they won first wow.
That one with the Uhaul truck killed me in Cleveland, they won for a reason.
They didn’t do that one. I think you’re thinking of First Take.

An excellent quartet, but entirely too predictable and often a bit too long. I prefer the clever offerings of the New Fangled Four.

Weren't the barbershop "core values" entirely improvised by young men on street corners, scandalizing their elders?
