    I am almost 50 years old and have congenital spinal stenosis in the thoracic vertebrae. As I get older it gets worse and worse. My daughter is now 12 years old and after years of guessing on my part, it turns out she inherited it 100%. She I feel so sorry because I know what I have had to endure all my life and she will probably have to live through it all. We have yet to find a doctor that would or could help us. My uncle has a similar condition, but cervical. He has to wear a neck brace when driving and can no longer do his job as a bricklayer.
    I wish all those affected strong nerves and that they fill the pain-free phases with lively joy. And something else I would like to note; sports like swimming, yoga and Pilates can improve a lot.
    Greetings from Spain (emigrated from Germany)

    Had fusion in 2018 and had massive improvement in symptoms to the point where I went back to my construction job and after a few months all of the symptoms are back. Please don't be stupid enough to undue the good work of a surgeon by returning to physically demanding labor after spinal surgery. I would be fine now if I had simply looked for another job that didn't require too much walking or lifting. I was even learning to code before surgery just in case and stopped because of how over confident I got. STOP DOING WHAT CAUSED THE INJURY!!!!

      it happens pretty often like those bodybuilders go back to doing the same thing then mess up the other disc because a fused back causes increased wear on the other discs

    I have pain opposite to this, sitting and standing still is most painful, I get excruitiating pain in my legs buttocks, if I stand still or sit for 5/10 mins my back sort of locks and I have difficulties getting up from seating position or to start walking again, do you have a video of what this could be please? I have bulging disc lumbar spine L5-S1 and bulging disc cervical spine C5-C6 with torn wall contacting spinal cord, I have pins and needles numbness in my feet and hands, and electric shock type of pain shooting from my butt down to my feet, and from the butt up to the back of my shoulders and down my arms to my hands also, and apparently there's no nerve compression from the bulging discs, and I'm told they're not the cause are not the cause, I feel like the Dr's and consultants don't listen and think I imagine the excruitiating daily pain throughout my body, I just had the electric study on my hands and there's nerve damage to my wrists and muskle deterioration in my hands between the thumb and 1st fingers, I don't see a consultant until end of November, any information you can give me would be extreamly helpful, I just want to know what's causing the pain, love your videos by the way they keep me sane knowing I'm not imagining my pain, I also have plantar fisitus in my left foot real bad that is also just starting to appear in my left foot. I constantly fall over and drop things too.

    I had my first herniated disc surgery at 13. Then again last year at 29. Right after I was discharged, I woke up from a nap and had a very stiff and painful calf. It lasted about a week. Then the stiffness came back and has been on and off since. Now I have it on the other calf as well. When I wake up in the morning and stretch, I get the most painful cramps. I do have spinal stenosis, osteophytes and other bulging discs. No doctor has found any of my spine issues to be a particularly big deal unfortunately; despite my years of pain. I’m 29 and have dealt with chronic nerve and back pain so the new cramping is really starting to scare me.

      Just don't lift weights and you will have to deal with it. I know the feeling of doctors saying its no big deal same thing happened to me since they kept telling me i was fine i lifted a small countertop dishwasher and i went to the hospital and herniation grew.

I have been going to physical therapy for 10 weeks because they just told me it was muscle related since I’m so young. Which interpretate:
    L2-3 to L4-5 levels: central disc protrusion with central canal stenosis in combination with posterior element hypertrophy with slight bilateral neuroforminal stenosis.
    I just wana know if it is a serious condition ? Must go with a surgery or it could be better with other medication and excersice.

    • @kbkesq
      @kbkesq 2 года назад

      It depends on the surgeon. If your surgeon has done thousands of them and has a three-year follow up success rate that is over 50% that’s a good sign. Cervical tends to do a little better than lumbar because there’s less weight-bearing on the disk.

    • @kbkesq
      @kbkesq 2 года назад +1

      There’s a saying: you can’t have your third back surgery until you have your first. Most people even surgeons will tell you avoid surgery at all costs.. Unless you have lost actual function of your body or nervous system you probably want to avoid it.

      @@Myworldmymind908 hi, I've been referred to a neurosurgeon, my Bowel and bladder problems began many like 20+ yrs back, but now pieces are slowly coming together, I dealt w countless bouts of diverticulitis and at one point it became so intense 7 bouts in 6 mos Repeated Dr & ER visits I wound up w a stoma (an ileostomy bag) a portion of my colon was removed they did this to allow my body to heal and after 8 wks it was reversed... 2 wks later I had diverticulitis again. I'm not going back to a bag so. My bladder I have over-active, urine retention, urge incontinence, leakage.. it was placed in a sling in 2010 and my bladder began burning, seen my obgyn lady part Dr who had been treating me, after a scope was placed in it was discovered I have interstitial cystitis (highly sensitive & painful) I was told think of it like ulcers in your bladder, it's a mess so lidocaine installs began thru a catheter 2x a wk for 6wks to numb it and I learned more about acidic foods that trigger it.. it didn't resolve things but it did decrease slightly, I'll say this.. Make sure you detail every single thing going on and that you have great repor w your pcp Dr and that you are being heard & referred to the right Dr's. I deal w a autoimmune disease (recently discovered) is that to blame idek I see 9 Dr's as of now and bc things were not all put together and Dr's were treating one thing at a time everything could truly come back to my lower back and the cervical & lumbar stenosis we're awaiting 2 more MRI'S and my 1st cervical injections.
      My thoughts I think I was overlooked & under diagnosed & I do not blame the Dr as no one had put the pieces together although a few did miss things that were likely affilateaffiliated, and b4 answers could be gotten well the pan*epic came crashing in affecting many. I think my lumbar spine is affecting things and bc things were left untreated/undiagnosed for so long that a nerve was pinched ...is pinched there the right signals are not being received. Hope the long rant helps. My prayers are w you. When you hit a dead end push harder, request a second opinion if u need to, all symptoms should be noted.. I got referred to a rheumatologist who added more info w diagnosing fibromyalgia but I think the MRI'S of thorasic & lumbar spine will hold more answers. Hugs ik hoe hard all this is. Be your own advocate, see a psychologist and get tested for adult adhd, try that it's extensive testing but can help to calm the mind too as stress only adds more issues. I'm on meds for adhd combined are they 100% no! But they help my focus slightly, keep going, the balance thing sucks I went down stairs a whole flight of them fancy polished kind that made my balance worse, oddly enough nuero didn't notice my balance issues and bc he listed tremors on my MRI that was under written so more delays but I'm now aware of how easily it is to fall thru the cracks. Stay on things & be extremely careful. ❤️
