I'll tell you my top 15 pets that I use on a regular basis for pet battling in Shadowlands.
I'll give a brief explanation as to why the pet is useful and tell you how to obtain them.
If you obtain these pets then it should make your pet battling life easier in the Shadowlands expansion
Between these pets you should be able to beat most if not all pet battles in the Shadowlands.

I really wish to see more battle pet related "new" content in the game, not just adding more and more pets, also current pet battling mechanic feels quite old now, not just the mechanic itself, covering of old expansion pets, their skill animations etc too feels old, i really wish some day we will hear an announcement about pets and pet battles with a title "We are remastering battle pet content in detail" or something like that 🙏
I've been playing the Beta and unfortunately it's just the same bog standard pets battles that we have become used to.
I do think it would be nice if Blizzard expanded/improved upon pet battles in some way shape or form, but I just don't think that's going to happen.
I feel like there is a lot more you could with pet battles but I guess pet battles in general are not that popular with the majority of the wow player base.
Woud also add Rotten Little Helper and Feline Familiar
With these 2 pets you can level your other pets insanely fast
Around Draenor horde garrison there are alot of pets to battle with a fast respawn
You just go Helper skill 2+3+1 (kills first 2 enemiew) switch leveling pet switch Familiar skill 1+3 (sometimes 2 skill first or 1+1 ) and you have a never ending farm machine your pets just heal up, matches are around 50sec, i even use it to level my characters to 70 sometimes
combine that with safari hat, pet week or Pet Treats and you have a army of little critters in no time

Yeah it's a really useful pet & it's always part of my Pet catching team. 😀
Terrible Turnip has the same ability that won't reduce a pet's health below 1 and has better speed than Grumpy. Grumpy's health is superior, and the Turnip can't combo like grumpy can with Growl+ Superbark, but the turnip gets Inspiring Song, which heals your entire party, and Sunlight which increases all pets max hp (not current hp) which makes getting into capturing range easier. They're both fine choices, though.

I have a lot of pet guides on my channel for various achievements which reward you with certain pets etc..
Was wondering,it seems you use the addon Rematch I also use it BUT unlike yours mine does not show the pet breed P/H... S/H... P/S etc...etc... Is that adjusted in settings?

Yeah grumpy is a pet, I use him all the time when catching pets. 😀
I had been using the vegetable thing with the humanoid attack, but when using against things strong against humanoid damage it can be a real pain. Grumpy is getting a leveling stone!

I lucked out and found a Valk this morning, but it was Uncommon so I gotta get a stone to upgrade.

Love all your pet battle videos but could you make some from older expansions that you haven't? Nobody explains them as well as you do. You are my first go to for pet battles and I share your videos with my friend who just started playing WoW this year. (2023). I didn't start pet battling until she started playing so I'm learning the roles as well. Thanks in advance!
Hi, A few people have asked me this and whilst I understand that it would be helpful for some people I doubt I'll go back and make videos for the old pet battle content.
Current Pet battles videos unfortunately don't get a lot of views and the more complicated fights/tournaments get even less views, so older pet battle views would be even less popular.
So if I'm honest it's really not worth the time it would take to make the videos for the number of people that would actually watch it.
However there are a lot of guides out there for the old content that should be helpful if that's what you're looking for. 😃

My favorite pet is Lil XT, which is a store pet and no longer available but it is so much fun to use.
I avoided using store pets, as I did not think it was fair to do so.
I have all these pets! Always use them in my teams.
Nice one, they do cover the majority of fights in wow give or take a few.
Sunborn Valkery is my favorite pet vs Dragon pets.
I can't say I've used it tbh.

I see you like legion pets lol they are kinda strong. Also blossoming ancient is one of my favs but I think it's a store pet?
I used 3 Legion pets out of 15 in this guide and one was Grumpy who is only used to catch pets. 😂😝
The ones I did use are decent though.

Ik this video is from 2 years ago, but does the Unborn Valkyrie spawn on the same place? Im new to the game and i want one, but when i search for its spawn it says something about dragonflight, so im not sure D:

Hmm, I tried looking for a Nexus Whelpling in the area you pointed out. However, when I went there when my pets were at a suitable level, I saw no critters on that island whatsoever. Is there something I'm missing here?
Edit: Turns out it's a super-rare spawn.
I went on my alt to have a look for myself and It's not a rare spawn at all.
There are literally 4 right next to me as I type this and another 5 close by.
@@GGGx3 Perhaps it could be a symptom of the Trade Guild update. I've seen people on the hunt for battle pets all of a sudden.
Edit: Found one this morning, but it's low quality. I suppose now it's a matter of finding a rare quality member.
@@RainingMetal I would Just use some of your pet charms and buy the rare pet stone to change it to a rare version as that's much easier to do. 😀
@@GGGx3 Indeed. I may look for that Valkyrie pet next. If there's a possibility that she may appear less than of rare quality I'll likely use such a stone on her too.
Is the Zergling pet any good?
Not sure since I don't have it as it's from the original collectors edition.
Whilst i'd love to own it for nostalgic reasons using it as a battle pet it would be no where near my top pets as looking at it's abilities it's has nothing particularly amazing.
None of these sticks out to me as must have

But now at least i know that doing random low level raids for fun is a geat strat to get good pets

All of the pets I listed are pretty much capable of beating all of the open world pet battles in Shadowlands and in previous expansions. 😀

It's called Battle Pet BreedID.
Terrible Turnip won't kill a pet either.

That's not a bad idea, although I guess it would really be down to peoples personnel preference.
I'd have to go through all of my pet's and see which ones I personally like the best etc..
