Tungsten don't really have that much more hp compare to berrylium on Erekir standard, but have seven times more armor, which is why it's much tougher. The same apply to carbide and surge walls.Carbide may have 320 more hp, which is 8% more, but surge have 20 armor, compare to carbide's 16, surge have 25% more armor. Carbide is also at endgame, and is very hard to produce, so surge better in most case. Most case, because there do exist some attacks that penetrate armor, such as Sublimate jet flame.
i think its because how hot erekir is, so it needed to be reinforced to be stronger (like there's no copper but instead beryllium is cause copper is easier to be melted than beryllium

How do I enter the jar file into my mindustry to update outside of Steam, how do I do that? I got it from git hub and I don't understand how to install the jar file

Your wall design is faulty, the units only have to break a few normal blocks because the indestructible terrain doesn't go all the way along your walls. Also comparing walls against flying and climbing units is unnecessary

How do you get the thing that shows if it is active or not?
Go to settings -> graphics -> press the "Display Block Status" that shows the active blocks
