From PhD to Drug Discovery

Dr. Lin is currently Chief Technology Officer at BioFront Therapeutics, a Beijing-based startup company focused on developing global first-in-class medicines. Prior to BioFront, she was most recently Co-Founder and CSO of Forkhead BioTherapeutics, a diabetes-focused startup company located in NYC. She has a decade of drug discovery and early clinical development experience from Merck and Eli Lilly. Her scientific focus has been on studying integrative physiology in order to find novel treatments for metabolic diseases. She is experienced in driving small-molecule and large-molecule programs from target selection, lead identification and optimization, IND-enabling studies, to Phase 1 clinical trials. Dr. Lin holds a BS in biology from Peking University and a PhD in molecular cellular and developmental biology from the University of Michigan, and conducted her postdoctoral training at Columbia University.
