I've owned a 2020 GLC 300 for a little over a year. I live on an island with small roads and small parking spaces. The GLC has been the perfect vehicle for where we live. The engine can easily handle mountain roads and it's very quiet and comfortable to drive. Reliability has been perfect as we haven't had a single issue with it. I would choose it again if I were to shop for a new vehicle today!
I own a GLE 450. It has been a great experience. Stunning car, luxurious, and pretty fast! The infotainment system is amazing! Has a lot of customization. I’ve owned it for a little over a month. I live near the beach, and it is very good for off-roading on the beach. This car would be good for a road trip.

+1 GLB, looks the best. Mr. Benz was such a visionary, he even named the brand after their virtual assistant, Mercedes, 60 some years before computers even existed.
Well, I just purchased a brand new GLC 300 and discovered that MB disabled the parking assist due to UN/EU regulation, the dealership failed to inform me so as many GLC drivers, very disappointing as you would expect better customer service & transparency from Mercedes Benz in comparison to other cars manufacturers !
@@nielsdevroege7177 they are using UNR79 as an excuse, I don’t know if this is applies to all Mercedes range or just the GLC for now, I think MB want to avoid a law suite in case the system causes an accident as other car manufacturers still have it in their cars, there are many GLC owners on MB club UK like me who bought the car from new only to find out the system is not operational, very disappointing

Thank you for your very entertaining and informative comparison videos. I am currently considering the purchase of a new Mercedes SUV, and this video helped me very much in my decision process. After watching your video, I'm definitely leaning toward the GLC with the air suspension package. Prior to watching your video, I was leaning toward the GLE, but I think that the mid-size GLC will be easier for my wife to drive in city traffic. Also, your feedback on the reliability was very useful information. Thanks again for sharing.
What GLB year did you get ? Also , since it has been a year how have you liked it? Has it been somewhat reliable throughout the year and do you have any regrets ? I’m considering purchasing my first luxury car SUV and considering a Mercedes GLB
Great review(s) ... but please review the possibility for carrying 3 people in the rear seat. So many of these SUVs are in reality only comfortable for 4 people, despite being very large on the outside
Dear Thomas, thanks for everything you do I think if you accept my suggestion, numbers you mentioned about dimensions and power put them in a table and show them, it will be more easy for us to compare, best of regards to you and your team from Saudia Arabia 👍
GLB if smaller and GLE if bigger. GLB is better than GLC and GLS is too big for most people and countries. GLA is pointless, better to get a hatch/sedan
Okay, Autogefühl. You've granted my unspoken wish. Thank you. How did you all know I wanted this video? That is some wizardry right there, lol. Haha. You all _knew_ that I was recently re-watching your videos on these SUVs. But seriously, this is great. I have questioned this myself. I have always wondered which one of their SUVs is my favourite and best suits me. I did the same with their sedans (and with a hatchback in there) years ago. The C-Class won, so I bought it. I need to redo that after the new C-Class comes and I experience it in-depth, now that all the other sedans are out and have extensively done so for those. Anyway. Back to the SUVs. I want to talk in-depth about all of them, but there is no space for that in the RUclips comment box. The comment will be way too long. Instead, I will talk about just my favourite and compare it to the others, but briefly. I actually do have long comments for each of these (I think maybe most) in their respective videos. My favourite is the GLE. Here's why: It is a simple reason with a complex flavour. I just love how composed it is in every way. I just love how it drives so well, and how every aspect of it blends so well to create and comfortable, easy, calm, and convenient SUV. Let me explain all that. The GLE I have on my mind is the _GLE 450 4Matic._ That is the my favourite setup so far tied with the Plug-in Hybrid. I have not driven the GLE 580, so I will not comment. The GLE uses Mercedes-Benz's new philosophy of engineering a luxury vehicle. And their idea of luxury fits well with mine. That idea being comfort, ease, bespoke-ness, and the "I've got your back no matter what" feeling the vehicle gives. The vehicle is always watching and everything is at your fingertips. Of course, the sense of safety is something very important to me. The feeling that the vehicle is my personal space is also important to me. The atmosphere is also very important. The GLE does that the best out of these SUVs, in my opinion. The new S-Class (W223) does it the best out of the entire brand, in my opinion. More on the S-Class on another comment, if you would like. What I really love is one of the GLE's aspects - it's ordinary design. It is not flashy or expressive looking. It is just normal...just like some of my favourite older Mercedes-Benz vehicles like W140. Why do I love this? It is because of what I am greeted with inside. You know how you go to a cool event, and typically the venue from the outside looks pretty normal, but it is epic inside? Yeah, the GLE is like that. That feeling of walking into my private space that only I get to know about is enhanced by the normal styling. Typically, if a car looks insane and flashy, people tent to speculate how insane and flashy it is on the inside, and 99% of the time they guess right. That sense of a private space is robbed of me since everyone knows what's up inside. The GLE, on the other hand, blends in with the traffic, but the experience of it inside is like no other. Only those who have experienced the GLE know it is amazing and what's up. No one would know just by looking at it that it has a very clever voice assistant. No one would know just by looking at it that it has augmented reality. See what I mean? Me, as the owner, knows how special the SUV is. I think this feeling I have comes from me not caring what people see me in. I do not buy a Mercedes-Benz or any other popular brand for status. I do not car if I spent €170 000+ on an S-Class and people somehow confuse it for a €30 000+ car. That crap does not bother me. It is such a stupid thing to be bothered by. I know what I bought. I know how amazing it is. Hence why I bought it. Why should anyone else know? Why should anyone else know how much I spent on it? Why should I care or be bothered with what they confuse it with? So stupid. The *experience* of the vehicle I buy justifies the price, not the status and social popularity points it supposedly brings. Anyway, so the GLE is very standard looking. I love that. In my opinion, it is very beautiful. It's understated and normal design is somewhat relatable, lol. That's me. Talking more about how understated and normal it looks: that is what makes my feeling of getting into the GLE more special. The feeling of "I am almost inside" is almost as wonderful as actually being inside. That is what I love. But the GLE is still very expensive looking and upscale, but simple. Reminds me of the Bentley Bentayga...and Bentley cars in general. All not flashy, but you, as an owner, know what's up. Now we are inside the GLE. The ambience and atmosphere of this car is still one of my favourites ever. It really rivals the new S-Class. Both are kind-of neck-in-neck. This is where another aspect of the GLE that I love comes in. It is so roomy, so quiet inside, and I feel hugged by the interior. That quietness and roomy-ness that comes with shutting the door emphasizes that "private space" feeling I love. A nice sound from the door shutting further emphasizes that feeling. Another aspect of the GLE is how easy everything is to use. There is a Mercedes-Benz idea right there. The layout of the controls is just perfect. Some may ask, how come this is mentioned for the GLE, but other models also have this layout too? A good question. The answer is: there is no compromise to the airy feel of the inside. That is hard to do, because to make everything easy to use, that all must come closer. Therefore, less airy feel. The GLE has everything in reach, yet the airy feeling is there. How did they do it? I have an idea on how It is a very complicated answer, though. It would take forever to explain. Basically, they put everything in the right places (Center console, door panels, center dash, and screens). The drive of the GLE is superb. Excellent drive. This is still one of my favourite drives ever. It is so quiet and comfortable. The sense of convenience plays its biggest role here. Convenience through how the cameras work, how the sensors work, how the navigation with augmented reality work, etc. One of my favourite moments of convenience is the voice assistant. Excellent, especially since the GLE has more functions that the other SUVs. Another favourite is the Head-up Display. The amount of information I can display there is unreal and really cool and useful. The GLE has the largest Head-up display out of all these SUVs besides the GLS. Clearest for me to read. I mentioned earlier how I love the "I've got your back" feeling this car gives off. Yes, that is awesome here. An example is when I stop at a Stop light, then the camera appears. First of all, notice how it appears ONLY at a Stop area, not just every time you stop. Really clever. Secondly, it is most helpful in the GLE because the car can be hard to see the lights. Another piece of convenience is the camera systems and sensors. Now, this may confuse people because they may say that their Honda or whatever junk does the same, but what they don't know is that the GLE's cameras and sensors never lag. What do I mean? The infotainment system has a very powerful processor and computer that runs so many things at once. If that processor is overwhelmed, that causes lag. I have had so many things active while operating the cameras and sensors, but they never lagged on display. The displays were immediate no matter what. I had many things streaming, audiobooks playing, active menus open, augmented reality in use, and so on, but it never lagged once the moment I needed it. That is amazing. It is especially know so because I know how serious it is to run all this stuff individually...let alone at once! Incredible software. Of course there is so much to talk about like the excellent massage seats, the superb sound system, the amazing Energizing Comfort and exercise programs, but I will just say, “they are all excellent.” Okay. Time to rap it up. What a lovely SUV. The GLE is still my favourite in the Mercedes-Benz SUV line-up, and my second-favourite vehicle in the entire brand's line-up. Soon more to the first one at a later stage. The sense of "Let's go on a long road trip" is also what I love about the GLE. That is a feeling that I love about Mercedes-Benz vehicles. They all do this amazingly, but the very cozy GLE does it best. I imagine waking up during a cold, windy, and rainy (or snowy) night, already packed and ready for my long trip. I got my hot chocolate drink in my hand, running to the car, getting in, and shutting the door. Start-up, put on the heated seats and steering wheel, put on the hot massage, and have my drink in the heated cupholder. I set off on my trip with a great audiobook or the Energizing Comfort pouring out of the high-end speakers. In the back of my mind, I know the GLE has my back. That feeling...is amazing. My current car does some of that, but not to the level of the GLE. The GLE is on another level. Oh wait. Another cool feature about the GLE: That feature is...THE FACT THAT IT BOUNCES. Need I say more? No, of course not, lol. Oh, and some may ask why the GLS is not my favourite since it has all this stuff. The only thing that does not do it for me with the GLS is that it is so large. That's it. The GLS is awesome, but remember that this is finding out which SUV is best for me, not which one is just the best. I implied that at the beginning. Alright. That's it. Cheers. 👍
Interesting comments. I would agree if not one problem which actually ruins all the good impression from GLE, and GLE Coupe as well BTW. It is quality of the interior, or to tell it better - aweful quality which destroys all the impression from this car. Aweful and cheap looking plastic of the doors could not be in a car which costs more than 10K$, especially in GLE which costs several times more. I own new A class, and quality and impression as way better. I considered to buy GLE Coupe, and was badly surprised by its quality. BMW X5/X6, Audi Q8, DS 7 are way better than GLE/GLE Coupe.
I just bought my wife a 2022 GLC and I will tell you so far that we are very happy with this purchase. I was set on getting the GLB because of more of the box type body. When I test drove the GLB it didn't feel as comfortable as the GLC. The GLC is very comfortable and the noise reduction from the outside is minimal. Hitting some rough patches on the road felt very smooth. I am more into a comfortable and relaxing ride than the driving experience of a more sporty type of vehicle. Maybe because we are getting older...Hehe
in our family there are 2 Mercedes, gle and glc class. Of course, the GLE is bigger and more comfortable. But, in my experience, in 90% of cases, the GLC is enough. In addition, the fuel consumption and maintenance of the GLC 2.0 diesel is much cheaper than the GLE 3.0 diesel.
Interesting that the GLB/GLE/GLS have 7-seater option but not GLC. I came over from your Volvo YT site, and the GLB looks like a perfect option that is in between XC60 and XC90. Thanks for showing what it looks like on the 3rd row of GLB, this may be my next car!
Wow!A super long review! Thanks for the work. Now we can wait for a GLA45s vs GLB45s(coming soon) vs GLC63s vs GLC63s Coupe vs GLE63s vs GLE63s Coupe vs GLS63 VS G63 review!😂
Interesting review! I bought my GLA in February of this year - ultimately, as a single person with no kids who lives/works in the city, the size of the GLA is perfect. Considering that there's not much of a difference between the GLA and the GLB (aside from the raised head room in the passenger seats), I much prefer the GLA for its sleeker, sportier look vs the too-boxy look of the GLB. If money were no option, I'd probably go for the GLE Coupe as well!
Great run down! I’m interested to see your thoughts on the EQB. The GLB looks like my favorite too of this video, for both size and price. We should be getting EQBs in the USA soon so I’m really interested in the electrified version of the GLB!
Hi, I currently have a GLC 250, looking for a GLE. The 350e looks nice being a hybrid, but it is 50% heavier and still has the same 2 liter 211hp engine. Do you think it will be nice to drive on long distances, or is the 2l 4cyl too weak to drive this car as quietly as the GLC with it being 50% heavier and thus making more noise?
My sister went to pick up her new GLa replacing her a class, but it wasn't quite ready, but in the meantime my dad sees a GLB class ,thinks he likes the look of it and ends up buying it and driving it home lol and also got a great trade in value on his px!
Very helpful thank you. Thinking about E class car, BMW 5, Audi A6, Jag F Pace or the GLC. Really prefer SUV but do a lot of motorway driving. 36 years a nurse and have back issues 🇬🇧🇩🇪
I just got a glb as a replacement car because my e300de(2019) is in the shop for a couple of weeks and i was surprised how practical the suv is, it has tons of space, doesnt feel significantly cheaper than mu e klasse and the infotainment system is way more refined with mbux. If i hadnt ordered an ix3 as my next company car this would have been it. Great reviews Thomas vielen Dank!
41:35 Fake exhaust finishers (tips)? I saw them on another SUV, too. So, this is a trend now? And, it's to avoid having to clean the tips? SMH. Not a fan. When I wash my vehicle, I clean the chrome finishers. It's just not a big deal. So, if the exhaust was soiling the tips, what is it soiling now that it's underneath the vehicle? Out of sight, out of mind? Also, in colder climates, we see vapor emitted from the exhaust tips. It makes visual sense. Now, we'll see vapor emanating from underneath but not from the tips? There's something not right about that.
GLB seems to be the best compromise of everything... and a perfect fit for me since I need a 7seater. Although it exceeds my budget a little, so i'll either wait for a used one or get something like 5008.
Autogefuhl, thanks for the thorough review! I came here for the GLB, but then watched so much more. I saw your Volvo XC90 video, too. Also was outstanding. Hope you branch out to even more vehicles. I am subscribing to your channel. Thanks.
Watched all of this. Was what I was looking for. Am looking to buy a Mercedes SUV. And with my wife and son. We have decided on the GLC or GLE. Personally think the GLC . A little cheaper and ideal for what I want it for. Thanks for the video.

Alright. That's it. Cheers. 👍
you re welcome =)
Thanks for the feedback and enjoy!
Thank you for the feedback
Very comprehensive 👍🏽
thanks feel free to share =)
What a great video!
in our family there are 2 Mercedes, gle and glc class.
The new GLC could’ve been available with 7 seats if the GLB has
The driver assistance package leaves a lot to be desired. I've seen it on other video not do what you expect to do.
Which would you choose MB GLA or BMW X1?

Parabéns pelo excelente vídeo.
Muito explicativo e atualizado.
Wow!A super long review! Thanks for the work. Now we can wait for a GLA45s vs GLB45s(coming soon) vs GLC63s vs GLC63s Coupe vs GLE63s vs GLE63s Coupe vs GLS63 VS G63 review!😂
nice video. i hope to see the same video with the 22 or 23 models with AMG versions all them.
3 hours and 25 minute! The Second World War could be explained in less time.
Is that why you drive a Prius?😝
Interesting review! I bought my GLA in February of this year - ultimately, as a single person with no kids who lives/works in the city, the size of the GLA is perfect. Considering that there's not much of a difference between the GLA and the GLB (aside from the raised head room in the passenger seats), I much prefer the GLA for its sleeker, sportier look vs the too-boxy look of the GLB. If money were no option, I'd probably go for the GLE Coupe as well!
cool, enjoy :)
Mercedes Benz: Lakers!
BMW: Warriors!
Audi: Rockets!

Awesome review
Would like more diesel with 100km range phev as in MB GLE de however in GLC or BMW X3 or X5 or Range Rover variants
My sister went to pick up her new GLa replacing her a class, but it wasn't quite ready, but in the meantime my dad sees a GLB class ,thinks he likes the look of it and ends up buying it and driving it home lol and also got a great trade in value on his px!
Hello everyone thanks for having me it's my pleasure to meeting you guys 👦.

“Which is the best (SUV), and which is more suitable for you?” AND which is AFFORDABLE, I may include 😄
Geil dass ihr das Tuning mit BMW gemeinsam macht
Came for the GLC, stayed for the ASMR.
Very helpful thank you. Thinking about E class car, BMW 5, Audi A6, Jag F Pace or the GLC. Really prefer SUV but do a lot of motorway driving. 36 years a nurse and have back issues 🇬🇧🇩🇪
Enjoy!
I can't say enough about you ....
And today agree that Mazda is tha bizz! My 97 MX5 & 06 RX8 were just the best!
Welcome 🤗
Wow! That's a serious work!

Excellent and thorough overall MB SUV reviews. Would have liked more comparison of the C vs. B, rather than the C vs. BMW.
Glb is by far the most well executed SUV money can buy. It should cost at least 10 k more.
I like the GLE the most size is great and don’t want a third row
Am I the only one who watch this channel only to fall asleep?
GLB seems to be the best compromise of everything... and a perfect fit for me since I need a 7seater.
Although it exceeds my budget a little, so i'll either wait for a used one or get something like 5008.
It really is, it’s the Mercedes you get the most bang for your buck. I am actually trading in my GLC for the GLB.
I would like myself economic diesel+hybrid > like GLC 300de, but the current c class is so old-fashioned now especially inside
No one wants to mention that fire beat on the video 6:52
Autogefuhl, thanks for the thorough review! I came here for the GLB, but then watched so much more. I saw your Volvo XC90 video, too. Also was outstanding. Hope you branch out to even more vehicles. I am subscribing to your channel. Thanks.
Watched all of this. Was what I was looking for. Am looking to buy a Mercedes SUV. And with my wife and son. We have decided on the GLC or GLE. Personally think the GLC . A little cheaper and ideal for what I want it for. Thanks for the video.
