  • This Will Destroy You are an instrumental quartet from the great state of Texas who play a cascading brand of cinematic rock music. Often compared and linked to purveyors of the "post-rock" sub-genre, the band has managed to transcend the tag and carve its own niche via a delicate and balancing infusion of electronics, strings, and an array of unconventional "rock" instrumentation over bombastic and receding harmony.
    - MAGIC BULLET RECORDS
We recorded This Will Destroy You Live in Montreal, QC and produced this HD concert because we want to capture the closest thing to what it's like being at a live postrock/instrumental show - doing it all for the love and passion we have for postrock music and all it's bands.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for watching our videos!

@Maninamask726 if that was in reply to my comment then I'm not saying they are bad or anything, I really love them, probably my 3rd fav prog rock band (behind pink floyd and mogwai of course)

Yeah, I'd say these guys are the total stereotype of post rock, as bad as it is to say that, cus post rock sometimes gets a reputation as being sometimes unvaried, but despite being a stereotype This Will Destroy You still manage to be good. Just cus it isn't madly original doesn't make it bad I guess.

Drums are too loud, he needs to calm down but other than that, really good song!
I enjoy each bands you posted, arms and sleepers i've know for a while now and they are just amazing. And sweet mother logic i'm trying to have a bit more listens since I know the violinist.

Good band, but I fail to see how they "transcend" the post-rock tag. if anything, they are a stereotypical post-rock band.
