    **HELPFUL TUTORIAL TIPS**
    ~FOAM CORE BOARD STAND: We use 1/2" foam core board to create our toppers on. Foam core board can be purchased at most craft stores. We cut these into small squares. We add parchment paper on top so the topper doesn't stick to the board. It's easy to push the lolly stick through the board. This keeps your topper straight and allows it to dry in the correct position.
    **CUTTERS USED IN THIS TUTORIAL**
    Tip #12 for the white part of the eyes
    Tip #11 for the brown part of the eyes
    Tip #7 for the black part of the eyes
    Tip #6 to cut the corners of the badges and for larger white circle on badges
    Tip #6 to cut the tiny circular part of wrenches
    ~ADDING COLOR TO YOUR TOPPER: Towards the end of the video you see us dust color onto our topper. The chalks are our absolute FAVORITE non-toxic chalks by Mungyo ( amzn.to/2v68D14 ) Please note that these are NOT EDIBLE, they are simply NON-TOXIC and should ONLY be used on toppers and decorations that will NOT be eaten. We pulverize the chalk by scraping it with a blade (as you've seen in many of our tutorials). For the white dots in the eyes and the black freckles on the snout you can use any white and black gel food coloring of your choice.

      Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it. :) I did not keep track of the "weights" of each body part. But, in order to follow this tutorial I would recommend making the parts the same size as I did in the tutorial. In many sections I'm sure I showed the sizes. Hope that helps and thank you for watching. :)

    You must have the patience to make sculptures. Is there such a thing as having too big of hands? I noticed throughout that there were different hands throughout the video. It must be great to have a team? Have you done any of the Incredibles?

    • @krazykoolcakes
      @krazykoolcakes  5 лет назад +1

      Yes it does require a lot of patience. The hands you see are mine and my hubby's. Yes, it's a blessing to have him help me. Thank you for watching! :)

      Is it self healing or how do you cut on it? I saw you are using knives but how don't you damage the mat?

    Love your work! Thanks for sharing. Are you using fondant with tylos or gum paste?

    • @krazykoolcakes
      @krazykoolcakes  5 лет назад

      Thank you so much! We are using gumpaste we make by mixing tylose powder into Wilton fondant. You can find the tutorial on how we make it here in our RUclips channel. Thanks for watching! :)

      Thank you so much! You're very welcome. :) We never use shortening with gumpaste. Only water to moisten. I hope that helps. :)

    What does the steamer do?

    • @krazykoolcakes
      @krazykoolcakes  5 лет назад +1

      The steam cleans up the edible glue stains, finger smudges, and gives it a clean professional finish. Feel free to check out our tutorials on steaming cakes and cake toppers. Thanks for watching!
