The breathing technique is used by the navy seals ..which is called the box breathing.
    4 secs inhale
    4 secs hold breath
    4 secs exhale
    4 secs hold breath
    And repeat cycle.
    That's called box breathing.
Alhamdulillah. I use this to calm myself in an given situation.
    Jazakumullahu khairan.
(**However, some of the breathing techniques comes from the Indian subcontinent ).

He is right about everything except the interpretation of remembering
To remember is to remember literally
You sit in meditation and remember walking to the shops, you remember going to work
But you must sit in the memory and watch it like a movie,
not a flash of remembrance, But a wallow in the memory for as long as possible
    Then you practice practice practice
Enjoy yourself, remember who you are and who we all are

Maybe you’re the one who’s wrong because this is meditation in a Muslim way. If you understand good for you if not good for you too

@@ansoumanesamoura1685 There's is no self in the present moment, all thought is a reaction .
There is no self in the future as that is imagined and cannot be remembered
There is only a self in the past, that you can remember
So to almost collapse the spectrum of wavelengths in your skull back to light , is something you can do but there is no cortex experience after the light is almost collapsed, but you have to breathe and experience that breathe so you can visit for a moment and then choose to stay as close as possible to no experience
But it teaches us nothing and is a pointless exercise , because it changes nothing , I grant you that it can help to not make things more separate
But to remember how that spectrum of experience acted, when it was forced to experience, experiences , now that's worth knowing , because it can have a "twist in the tail"
which brings meaning and purpose to every breathe we take
      My friend
whatever narrative you experienced, they are all the same discussion

      Dhikr literally means remembrance.
But, it goes a while back. In Bacchic rites, there was an heavy emphasis on remembrance, of the divine they experienced (ie, in Dionysos). The initiated (mustai) wanted to remember that experience, not in an intellectual way, but as a matter of realising, once again, what reality is.

“La ilaha illallah” means “there's no God but God”. The world Allah derives from “Al-Ilah” which literally means “The God”. The meaning of this is NOT that only the God of Muslims is God. It merely means that other than God, let no other thing be worshipped as God.

This is mysticism. Theres no dogma in mysticism . All prophet of Islam discovered Allah threw an initiatic journey. Imagine the prophet saws meditating alone in the cave of Hira and suddenly the angel Gabriel appears to him in human form. There's no dogma here this is just pure mystic moment.

No. It is just that the energetic body, energy and lifeforce are universal. Many traditions explain the same thing in different terms. Zikr with all that knowledge then acknowledges “there is no God but God” which separates it from pantheism (many gods).
