All the build channels im subbed to have been dry for content lately. So it's nice to get 2 in a row from the don of builds. Looking mint so far Cam 👍
Man I think that spring turned out sick! I love it as is!
That first gauge on the regulator closest to the tank reads the tank pressure. The second gauge reads the regulated pressure. You should open the valve on the tank all the way and turn the handle on the regulator in until the the second gauge reads 140 psi. When you open the valve on your other gauge that you thread onto the shock, it should stop at and read the same 140 psi regulated pressure that you set the regulator to.
Thanks Jim!
@@CameronNiemela, thank you for this gold mine of information that this channnel of yours is.
Nice job Cameron. Like some of the others said set your bladder pressure with the second gauge on the regulator and verify it with the gauge on the race tech filling tool. The black valve on the race tech should be opened fully then thread down the core depressor for a few seconds. Back off the core depressor to close the schrader valve, close the black valve on the race tech tool, bleed off the pressure in the tool with the schrader valve next to the gauge on the tool then remove the tool. If you try to measure the pressure in the shock you will loose too much volume and pressure thus the purpose of using the tool to close the bladder valve under the desired 140 pi of pressure. I would also be careful using the propane torch next to your shim stack. The shims are made of spring steel and will lose their temper if exposed to too much heat. I love your projects. Keep the coming!
So this is why we pay our suspension guys to do this.. great work Cam, very informative!
That looks really good. I grew up riding RM . Way back late 70s , RM 100 .then the RM 125 . Don't forget the 250 😊
With the air craft remover you should scuff up the paint to let it penetrate better and do 2 - 3 coats, and it’ll remove everything.
No ive never had any issues with heat on the spring powder coating too. top job cam 👍👍
Been waiting Cam, glad for two in a row👍
Keep ‘em coming
Nice to see somebody actually take time and do a proper job of a bike build, it makes my ocd very happy.
Back at it I see 💪💪
Crazy how good your color combo choices are. Bike should look awesome when it’s done. Can’t wait to see it ✌️✌️
Thanks man!!
It definitely needs blue bars! This bike will be sick once its finished, keep the good content coming!
Super pumped for another video and excited for this beast to be done. Great video and happy to have two in a row
That blue on the spring is perfect man!! Love the tone of it.
I’ve learned so much from you, flipped my first bike for profit this month. Keep it up Cameron!
It's amazing how similar the procedure is compared to mountain bike shocks. its almost the exact same procedure! I have serviced a few shocks on mountain bikes myself :)
Sweet vid!! You should open the tank valve all the way and use the second gauge as the regulator for the supply to what ever you need it. Also, for clarity, nitrogen is used because it doesn’t have oxygen in it like air. This is important because as the shock works, it gets hot, and so, if the bladder was filled with air, the pressure would change drastically, thus changing the shocks characteristics. So, in short ten nitrogen ensures shock consistency through out all temperatures.
Superb demo on how to service a shock. The blue is so sweet.
So satisfying to watch!
Looks incredible Cameron! That bike is gonna turn out awesome!!
Great, another 6 month rebuild.... this guy takes for ever
Nice one mate can’t wait for the finished product 👍
Throw that aircraft remover in the trash and come use the stripper tank boi.
I got another shock spring to do!🤷♂️😂
Haha for real. That stripper tank is the ticket
I used the aircraft stripper on a Volkswagen rebuild. It seemed to have worked great for me. I believe that it needs to be painted on with a brush. With as few Strokes as possible. Pour it onto the brush or onto what you are trying to strip. Then with as few strokes as possible let the material sit on the part that you are stripping for the required time. Then it should work as it is supposed to. Give it a try.
Awesome quality work. A pleasure to watch
can’t wait to see it once it’s finished 😍
Can’t wait to see the finished outcome and the giveaway
omg that is looking so gorgeous man. You're doing a fantastic job on this!
That blue tho! Love it man! I actually like the way it turned out!
Just a tip, instead of throwing bearings in a freezer for a few hours, get yourself a can of lighter gas instead. When you spray it on bearings for just a few seconds, it cools them down instantly and colder than what a regular freezer can do. Cheap and effective.
That candy chrome/clear PC looks sweet!
Plus yellow & blue looks amaculate !
Love your video’s restoring my Yz60 and your videos make it so much easier cheers
Amazing bro! Lookin good, I already have a good image about this bike!
You certainly cover all the bases. Great episode!
That blue turned out absolutely baller 👌🏻👌🏻
Recieved my pryme order yesterday, usa to GB so quick!! Well happy with the items and even a hand written personal note, awesome!!! Thanks cam!!
Happy to hear that!! Thanks for your order

this bike is going to be so clean
Outstanding looking!
That's crisp, bro!
Awesome vid Cam keep up the great work👍
Good job enjoyed that!
Looking awesome!
Loving the build 🤟
Love the color of the spring
You are so making me want to go through my 06 RC Edition! Lol..
Duuuude this turned out siiiiickkkkkkkk🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Clean!
use the valve on the filler adapter to bleed of preassure after the fill and after the screw to open the blader is closed, in that way it is easyer to unscrew the filler adapter.
crazy how you’ve been on this build for over a year haha
love the way you teach us!
Love your builds
Looks sick how it’s kinda purple
looks sweet
Im ready to watch
When filling, dish pan, Wen 3 inch drill press vice w/angle aluminum for soft jaws. Mess is totally contained.
Quem dera a muitos "proficionais" fazerem esse optimo trabalho.
Outro ponto bem positivo é essa vontade em aprender e mais importante ainda passar os conhecimentos. 👍 🇵🇹
Very informative 👌👌
Sei veramente bravo! 👌🏻👍🏻
Beautiful 👍
Great cameroon stay strong 💪
I got a place for it already cleared out...wth a spot light shining down on it when it gets here...
I love what you do man, have you ever consider to start reviewing bikes?
I figure since mxa and all the others are superpros your opinion would be most welcome for all us mortals. I think people trust you also.
Nice❤️
love from indonesia brother 👍
I wondered if your mix the powder paint chrome and a little blue at once, what kind of color would result?
Hey Cameron your a big inspiration to me and my motorcycle building, I’m trying to get into more cerikote but I don’t know what type of Mini HVLP gun to get any recommendations or anything that works with the budget?? Thank you
You should look into Husqvarna Husqvarna parts for your store, I'm always looking for parts for my 2009 510, but never can find any good new parts, like forkbushings, bearings, linkage bearings, stuff like that
You can leave your nitrogen tank valve turned on while you’re using it. Turn it off when you’re done tho or there’s a chance it will leak out over time.
I was waiting for the the nitrogen part
I like that blue.. although a lighter amount of blue powder would have made it pop more
Man I would have done a yellow top coat on that Spring
Just curious, with the front forks. Did you coat them with that beautiful yellow or did they come that way like the KX did? Thanks
for the 2nd coat, I coat straight away, it will melt onto the base layer ...
I Wonder if you make a stunt/jump bycicle from this frame and suspension if it would be any good
👍
let's record a few more videos and more often😁
Hey are you ever gonna do some hats with just the Pryme symbol? Hoodies would be dope with just the symbol too!
Why you didn''t cerakote the spring? why use powder?
Hi Cam, can I sign in if I'm outside the US?
show .. que top.. preciso compra esse azul.... salve brasil
👍😎👍
Lube 🤣
Hey Cameron. Is that rough abrasive wheel hurting the spring? I see it throughout sparks and was wondering if it was squaring off edges and damaging it
It doesn’t remove any material if it’s used with light passes. It would take off material with heavy pressure and holding it in one spot for more than a few seconds
@@CameronNiemela this makes sense appreciate it bro
Wassup buddy
8:49 ronnie Mac reference? 😂
Fucking love your videos! Wish there were more but I understand your only one guy lol. I'd also assume waiting on parts is a major issue especially now days
Thanks man! Lots more content coming, I have help with filming and editing now so it’ll be a few vids a weeks from here on out
Ever thought about doing a 2000's KX250 rebuild?
I do have a KX in the shed. Just not sure when it’ll get some love haha
Honestly by the way these colors are coming together, I don’t think I would ride this bike if I were to own this build.
I’ve always thought rm s we’re the cleanest 250 2t
No
When done right they are the nicest imo.
