    I’m back in Wisconsin and most of my house projects are complete now I can concentrate on my Blackjack 24 and it’s leaks. Again you have given me a place to start with my leaks. I have been running my Sonic Wake and love it being bone dry inside with low temps on the electronics! What fun! Thank you.

      Good luck, it can be a pain tracking down a leak

    I finally took my BJ24 out for the first time this weekend and what an awesome little boat. When I got home I pulled the drive shaft to clean and dry it. When I was running a swab through the drive shaft tube the liner came out. I have seen in other videos where you glue those parts together but you didn’t do it here, just wondering if this boat doesn’t need glue? P.S. We need some boat gang stickers for our hulls =)

    West Marine sells Gflex that works the best for stuffing tubes and thanks M5 Performance for turning me on to it👍❤️Also works great on plastic and balsa woods

      @@IRONCLADRC may i ask what epoxy you used? Seemed like it was super easy to work with and seemed to work really well! Any information you can share would be great! Thanks!

    wow are those 8000's 2s or 3s??? hugh batteries,but actually they seem small in size for their 8000 mah to me... been a while since i bought new batts...

    the best way to find hard leaks using the bath tub method is make sure boat is bone dry inside and use a flash light... once you see your first drop of water or run you will have a good idea where it came from...

    Love the long indepth videos. What are you using on the bottom ride surface. I've noticed that my blackjack 24 is starting to show wear from the water hitting the bottom ride surface.

      It's graphite and thickened epoxy. It's called blueprinting a hull its Alot of work, almost to much work

  • @ChampTruex
    @ChampTruex 3 года назад

    you make it all seem easy lol. so i have a question for you, i 3d printed a kinda cool boat and had to upgrade to a flex shaft whats all needed to use it lol i have the flex hex already

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  3 года назад +1

      So you need a collet to attach the motor to the flex, you need the correct size brass stuffing tube for the the flex to spin in, strut to support the shaft, and a drive dog to hold the prop in place. Oh yea don't forget the prop nut

    what turnigy motor is that....I have 2 big turnigy motors i bought 10 years ago... one is a 3665-2100kv and the other is 3674-1900kv...i have the 1900kv in my motly crew boat with a 180 amp turnigy boat esc... i never really ran it ...not sure you are familar with the 29'' motly crew cat at all... its pretty big boat... size is somewhere between blackjack 24 and blackack 42,buy more towards the BJ 24 size... I can't even remember what prop is on it... With 2 good 2s batteries what would you thing a good prop size and pitch would be an all round good performer?? maybe 50-55 max speed...60 maybe if you think it would still have great launch excelleration...Just because a boat has a max of 60 does not mean you need to give use full trigger much... thanks again... I think stock prop still on it was 42 dia not sure what the pitch is...only had a 60 amp aquacraft esc and i think it was a 2000 kv 36-50 motor... boat did around 40 mph stock ,but motor and esc seemed pretty hot,that's why a upgraded it in the first place... thanks for taking the time to read this and give me your thoughts...
