- The SPz BMP-1 has very little to speak of in the armour department. Minimal frontal and nearly non-existent side armour results in the vehicle being vulnerable to almost any incoming fire. As such, the vehicle's survivability stems entirely from its mobility and reasonably small profile. Where possible, utilise hills or other cover, only exposing as much of the vehicle as is necessary to engage an unaware target.
Despite the lack of armour, however, the SPz BMP-1 will, on occasion, survive hits unexpectedly - the internals of the vehicle are largely non-critical and many rounds will over-penetrate.

The “SQUEAK!” Every time the ATGM fires is just the best.
German 7.3 line up is amazingly powerfull, leo 1, bmp1, marder 1a-, m48 + any AA from wirbel to kugel
Not to mention Arado, me262

I gotta start using that thing. I play 7.3 because of the T54 49 and Obj120. I've been killed by them roughly 7 million times so maybe I'll try it. Looks so easy when you play it. I'm sure it will go wonderfully.
It's great vehicle even when uptiered, just be ready for the terrible malyutka atgm, it won't be super fun, but usable, speedrun to bmp1 p modification and you will be laughing
@@CrustaceanAllergyEnjoyer I tried using it before I even knew there was a BMP1 mod. It was awful. Just recently unlocked it.

yeah there's a modification for a better missile which you can actually aim accurately
what graphics settings do you use?

Hey I have a question.
Whenever I fire my atgm on the bmp 1 it asksme to use my movement controls to guide the missile, yet I see you using your mouse in ths clip. Is this a bug, or is it an upgrade?
It depends on the ATGM you are using, the stock one is guided with WASD keys, the upgraded ATGM can be aimed with your mouse.

@@tranminhnguyen6217 Yeah I found how to do it. Been trying to get it ever since. Apparently I have to get fire mechanism, elevation and something else to get it.

you didnt upgrade the stock missiles so you need to use WASD till you get the better ones
They should've given Germany the West German BMP-1 that was upgraded to NATO standards.

The German and Soviet BMP-1 are the same(maybe minor differences im not sure) but the Chinese BMP-1 has a Tandem ATGM with 800mm penetration while being at the same BR.

Good vehicle. But it has a bad rep because a lot of ppl who are fairly new buy it and are thrown in top tiers. But trust me. Top tier br requires no skill, range find, point and shoot. Zero shell drop, always 1 shots.

If you get the P mod in the modification tab it changes the type of missile to laser guided with mouse
