    I usually call the rail flare "the lazy palm spin"

    Just dropping by the say thanks for all the great tutorials, especially this one, and the mention of being careful with the balance. I actually did go over backwards today, but since you'd mentioned it had a chance to think about it and was ready. Recovered by pulling close to the bar, curling into a tight ball and swinging under the rail. Thought for sure I was going to hit, but I missed everything and walked away without a scratch. I'm not sure that's the recommended recovery move, but at least I avoided a possible concussion.

    For the Italian Job, I find a key to be keeping the back straight. If you go over and can't come back, it's because you keep trying to use your body to prevent yourself from falling when your really have to just slide around to the other side by gravity rather than strength. Once I sucked my back straight, I got both tricks like magic.

    One thing on worry about is falling back off the rail on the Italian Job, is there anything that helps this?

    • @zrayish
      @zrayish 9 лет назад +1

      I had the same problem when I learned it. It might seem kind of freaky, but I actually sat on the rail and tucked my head to my chest and fell (slowly) backwards. I found that I actually just hung upside down under the rail if I held on tight. If I ever screw up and fall back, I just hang on for dear life and tuk my chin in and am yet to have hit my head. Be very careful at first though and practice on grass/dirt (like I did) if not a pad at first. Hope this helps and good luck!

    • @FlowUrbanFlow
      @FlowUrbanFlow 9 лет назад +1

      Do it slowly at first by just placing you legs on one at a time. Then when you start going for it, keep your weight straight down on the bar, don't lean backward or too much forward and you should be alright. Worst come to worse, try it on a narrow brick wall.

    • @Alieradar
      @Alieradar 9 лет назад

      Practicing sitting on the rail and practice on what Ronnie taught in this video.
      I think sitting on the rail is a very good idea, mostly with both hands and try your very best to keep your feet off the ground. Keep on practicing and then try with only one hand. Keep on practicing and then practice jumping over the rail one foot at a time while your hand is still on the rail.

    • @Alieradar

      If it doesn't make any sense, watch this video.
