A lot of truck videos talk about towing capacity and being able to haul 10k plus or more lbs trailer, rv. Or whatever, but I rarely see in videos talk about stopping power and safety when towing with a 7 or 8k lbs truck..
Stopping power is a BIG part of the towing experience. I just did a video on how boasting about your truck's towing ability is meaningless since it is all about being safe and stopping the load.
After reading 100's of reviews and BBB complaints we've decided not to buy the CM brand for our truck. It's really a shame because they look so nice but powder coated product was a serious concern in the first place then to see them in person and rusting before they even get installed was a major red flag.
Hey I know a lot of people like the older Dodges and Fords but the beds rot out. Someone should come out with aftermarket aluminum truck bed that looks like a regular truck bed in 8’ , 6.5 feet. It doesn’t have to exact but similar. I think there would be a big market. Excellent video
Did not show us how a 5th wheel would work in this recessed bed. Saw no pucks or rails to connect a 5th wheel. Also claimed best in class cubic inch storage capacity. But I have seen several others that look to have much more storage with 6-8 storage boxes & bigger then these.
Tried to get a CM bed, but they won't make any modifications to fit heavy duty 5th wheels hitches (25k plus pounds). The company wouldn't respond to my inquiries. Western Hauler makes a better bed anyway and will make custom changes.
Considering a flatbed for use with a truck camper where center of gravity is critical. Curious to know how the bed floor height and cab to axle distance change when converting to a flatbed like this?
LOL watched on desktop with very expensive audio card and jbl speakers. Audio was clear but lots of wind noise, interference, etc. not complaining just constructive feedback
I’ve had a CM WD truck bed and I’ve had it sitting in a gravel yard, and the finish on the underside is already peeling.

I’ll never own another truck without a CM Bed! Trucks are made to work, so should their beds….

The space between the headache rack and cab seems to wide to me, other than that I like it,

Don’t need rails if you use the B&W turnover ball. Also. 5th plugs in same hole.

Good questions. I can say bed floor height is MUCH better. Not sure on any change of cab to axle distance.
The CA distance never changes, thats how the beds are built. if you get a 54-60-84-102 ca the rear of the bed to axle are the same distance every time

My personal truck, not commercial has a CM bed on it. The bed is three years old and the powder coating is falling off in sheets.
Every powder coated crap does that .... give me paint ant day

Cm beds are trash. No craftsmanship.
I need one for my 84in 2020 ram 5500 crew cab four-wheel drive cab and Chassis. Dont need the the custom.
