+1 for Lewis Potts - learned a lot from him. When I shoot on-site, the first thing I do is look for walls I can use. At least a quarter of my current reel is one light, one stand, and a wall.

I’ve learned a lot from him, especially in my intermediate phase.

@@6shopfilms at this point, I feel like I'm going to be intermediate for life... 🤣

Noodle curiosity, just thought, after you add the white noodle, get a solid cardboard tube that the light with the noodle fits in. Slide the outside cardboard tube to be the flag? Hmmm.

I was even thinking about putting my painting cardboard or acoustics panels of the sides (like a tie fighter).

The noodles are not available for some reason. Do you know any alternative?
Probably would end up buying the nanlite grid someday..

Honestly any white or “clear” pool noodle will do. Most run the same price.

Weird question but can you share the noodle reference, it's so hard to find a white noodle in europe..

Sure can. I’ll throw something in the description.

your video has a lot of grain, sometimes evne on your face ,i noticed this on your low light video. Is this a stylistic choice or ? also your colors are a little dull... i think with your good sound it still works but i want these questions answered...

Still honing in the looks for my talking head honestly. I try to experiment with some different looks. The grain is on purpose thought, as I use Dehancer for the color grade. Ironically enough, my approach for interviews are very different. At the end of the day it’s just me playing around with my stuff.

thanks, i wanted to know, i mean it leaves me watching your videos so i guess it does what it is supposed to do... interesting, but from my interpretation here this style reminds me off indie films, in which sometimes have good story and acting but the stylistic choice leaves NORMIES unimpressed and possibly losing money... but good stuff, keep at it. I am a kenyan movie creator and here everything sucks (new and smaller market) so hopefully my film will be better@@6shopfilms

@@KAIZORIANEMPIRElol I don’t even think “normies” would even notice. This would look pretty professional to them. 100$ says a few also bought pool noodles and don’t even have the tube light yet 😂
