Hey Hunter! How are you feeling? Hope you have a great Friday and weekend! I’m watching my area of northern Ohio for one of those MCSs.
Unfortunately, I'm still feeling sick today. As for the weather, the current expectations are for most of the storm complexes to occur later in the day or at night, and mainly be west across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois. However, one or two of these storm complexes may bring isolated severe weather to parts of Michigan or Northwest Ohio but it won't be as widespread as the Midwest.

Very low tornado risk. Most severe weather events this weekend will be driven by severe wind-producing MCS’s.

Way too uncertain for Monday right now. Each day will have an effect on the next days severe weather risk.

will northern IL/southern and south central WI get added in a wind-driven enhanced risk? (in the monday night into tuesday afternoon timeframe) cause thats where the best instability is. and dew points in the mid 70s into low 80s. not to mention a deep low cyclone trough will interact with this unstable airmass. i say wind gusts up to 80+ mph. but im happy to be proved wrong! i hope you feel better!
The shortwave troughs are very subtle and there’s likely to be some type of capping inversion across the Midwest this weekend. If the capping inversion is too strong then the trough will not be able to overcome it and produce severe weather. The opposite is true if the capping inversion is weaker.
Additionally, each day of thunderstorm activity will likely push the effective cold frontal boundary further to the south (along with outflow boundaries). Needless to say, it’s a very complicated severe weather setup.
