Actually, xingqiu’s rain swords have an ICD. The only hydro applier who has no ICD on their off-field hydro application is Kokomi with her jellyfish. Xingqiu is obviously still a great hydro applier for single target and for teams like Hu Tao in which too much healing will be detrimental, but there are definitely situations in which Kokomi outshines Xingqiu.
This isn’t saying Xingqiu isn’t broken or Kokomi is definitively better, but Xingqiu is very good for certain situations and Kokomi is very good for certain situations. So Xingqiu is not undoubtedly better than every other hydro applier in every situation, but he is in many.
ive been playing for over 3 years and I got my first sac sword at ar 58. I now have it r5 but i used skyrider sword before i got it and it works great!
I got xinqui when I first started playing. At first I was disappointed. And then i got c1, sad again. But after playing a while with him i realised. And in zhonglis rerun i wanted to get him but got "the bell" twice(>

another thing: favonius sword and amenoma kageuchi have less energy requirements than just "non sacrificial sword weapons". R1 Favonius usually requires around 218-220%(unless c6 which changes it to 180-185%), and amenoma R1 requires around 225-230 (or 170-180% with c6). the difference between sacrificial sword and favonius really isn't that large especially considering emblem is his bis which makes him have 180% ER on default and ER substats can carry the rest of your stats, allowing you to give him an atk% sands.
I always watch your guides even having the character in the vid already built just because I love how good your videos are, so much love and attention is put to making these and I'm so thankful for having such a good content creator working to share all that information with us! I wish you only the best, much love!
Lmaooo this reminds me of when Tectone was like "nah Xingqiu isn't nearly as good as Bennett" But like- Xingqiu is essential for several meta teams- Thanks for standing up for Xingqiu, Mr. Zyox!!!
He isn't still. Bennett is like better than every character in game. Currency only hu tao and diluc comps desperately need him. Freeze kokomi replaced also in taser.
could you make like an advanced Elemental Mastery guide? is there a situation where EM gonna be more dmg than crit rate/crit damage build and if it's the on field or off field character that should run it (who procs the reaction). the whole concept still seems kind of fuzzy to me (with the math and such).
Apart from chars that want to build em like sucrose or kazuha, this is highly dependent on the team your running. On top of that, in most cases it makes a huge difference if you mess up your rotation even a little bit if your running high em. So pushing out some exact math for this is nearly impossible.
In a team where you can reliably proc amplifying reaction, for example hu tao reverse vape, yanfei reverse vape, diluc reverse vape, xiangling reverse vape, ganyu reverse melt, aloy reverse melt, and rosaria reverse melt, it's generally better too use EM sands or at least get until 200-300 EM for that character, but still it doesn't mean EM build is better than crit build because u don't build FULL EM (with EM goblet and circlet). Other thing is also because there are many external source of ATK% like from nobless bonus, bennett buff, ttds, and tenacity buff so if you stack too much ATK% on those character it's actually give you diminishing return. Other thing is that even if you play electro charged team (like taser comp), NEVER BUILD EM ON ANY OF THE CHARACTER. Those character (xingqiu, fischl, beidou, even kokomi) have higher skill multiplier so it's never worth it to build EM for the electro charged reaction damage, and because you can't reliably proc electro charged anyway. Same with overload team (like yoimiya beidou combo), just think of overload and electro charged as "bonus damage". Maybe you can build full EM on a niche overload lisa team, but thats up to you if you want to play main dps overload lisa. Character that is worth building full EM are, for obvious reason, sucrose, venti, and kazuha. in venti cases, crit build can be better than full EM build but only on high investment (i mean it, HIGH INVESTMENT with almost perfect substats) so for many players it's generally better and cheaper to build full EM venti (nobody use venti nowdays anyway lol haha jk). TLDR aim for 200-300 EM on vaporize/melt team, full EM on anemo support character, otherwise don't build EM
I have C6 Xingqiu with R4 Sacrificial Sword. I'm still working on his artifacts but his burst is so good and his heal is great too! I partnered him with Yoimiya and they work so well together. I also use him with Ayaka but I haven't build my Ayaka yet. Thank you for this detailed guide!
my favorite team right now is albedo, xingqiu, ayaka, and zhongli so i was SO pleased to see this video go up. the damage was *chef kiss* before i put proper artifacts on him, can't wait to see how he does with the emblem 4set i farmed while watching this
Your guides are awesome, and I have been watching for awhile now. Would you ever consider making guides for less popular characters (Barbara, Amber, Lisa)? I feel like they're going to waste, and would love to use them, but I don't know much about team building.
How's that Noelle guide coming along Mr. Already-made-two-videos-about-Xingqiu? Haha, joking. You're doing god's work out here and your guides are the only ones I trust because they're the most comprehensive and accurate that I've ever seen.
How good is elemental mastery on him? Since his burst attacks have a delay he will usually be the one proccing the elemental reactions. Maybe EM sands are a possibility or EM is just a good substat?
I think my favorite feature is Xinqiu only needed a normal attacker rather than normal attack damage like Beidou and Raiden. It means you can swing and the swords will still show up and that's great since some enemies like Pyro Lectors need reactions and your Beidous and Raidens can't connect for the procs where XQ can.
Also amenoma kageyuchi (inazuma blacksmith sword) is only good at higher refinement so not good for xingqiu. Skyrider sword is a 3 star weapon that will give you less damage but atleast you will be able to use use your burst on cooldown
I have tried the following combo and it has some really great damage numbers... Try Raiden's E, then Xingqiu's Q and finally Klee's Q. Reactions on passive every hit.
And there's me who's pulling for him and haven't got a single of his constellation. My beidou went from c0 to c4, yanfei c5 to c6 and some garbage weapons 😭
I haven't seen anyone mention this, so the probability of proccing sac sword is the probably of NOT not proccing on the first hit AND not proccing on the second hit, e.g. for R5 it's 1 - 0.2^2 = 0.96 or 96%. Here's the full table: 0 refinements: 0.64 1 refinements: 0.75 (+17%) 2 refinements: 0.84 (+12%) 3 refinements: 0.91 (+8.3%) 4 refinements: 0.96 (+5.5%) The number in parenthesis is the increase in odds of proccing the effect for that one additional refinement. While that 96% proc rate looks nice, it's only a 5.5% improvement over R4!
This popped up on my feed and I recently got C4 Xingqiu from Zhongli banner so I figured I'd watch it. Turns out it's an updated guide! Me: "Hmm when did he make this?...Today?! Oh sht, nice perfect timing!" Thanks for your guides; I recommend your channel to all my in-game friends. :)
I try Lion's roar on Xingqiu in Vaporize team and the dmg output is pretty good. His ER goes down from 220% to 198%, but it doesn't matter because I have 2 decent batteries (Sucrose and C1 Albedo) and Yanfei gives some energies from her skill too. His dmg rises from 2-3k to 4-4,6k, which is pretty amazing. But the rotation is very hard to control. So, I think it's more better in Raiden national team.
Thank you so much for this guide!! I do know about the artifact sets and the weapons but I was so confused on the substat... Thanks for breifing it out :)
I got C6 Xingqiu in the first month since starting Genshin. I did 50 pulls on Kokomi’s banner and got about 4 copies, and I got the other 3 from beginner’s banner and standard lol at the time, I knew he was popular but not how broken he was lol
It probably should also be mentioned that favonius will be better than sacrificial when using him with characters like hu tao, yoimiya, or xiao that want a lot of field time
personally i run around 220% on him since i don't have his c6 yet. with sacrificial sword you only need to use his skill twice to get his burst back, which is very helpful for hu tao!
i have c6 w sac sword and i still use around 200% on him, maybe its a little overkill in raiden national but idc its nice to have a character i can battery without thinking, unlike xiangling
I literaaly just got xingqiu to level 90 and you just uploaded a new guide on building his as support. Bro your literally the chest genshin build youtube i know
BiS is Sacrificial sword Skyward in theory but is huge trap when it comes to gameplay. R5 sacrificial sword beats any 5* sword on Xinqui by miles not even close. Xinqui is sub dps his role is to apply hydro and use elemental burst.
To summerise: So basically he is a support but you build him as a typical DPS but with Emblem artifact's focus on ER and Sacrificial Sword if you're F2P, else the Jade Cutter is a better option for people who have better luck or a wallet.

So Xingqiu is not undoubtedly better than every other hydro applier in every situation, but he is in many.
my man just uploaded a guide mins before the livestream, pog
Xingqui vaporizing enemies left right and center. Especially in combination with a pyro carry in abyss.
thank you, I was planning on building him for a long time and I‘m finally doing it, just ascended him to level 80
Thank you for making this guide!
Was trying to make a build for him before
This is going to help me a lot thank you-!

And if you need ER, there is Skyrider Sword. I have been playing for months, and have only come across 1 Sacrificial Sword.
ive been playing for over 3 years and I got my first sac sword at ar 58. I now have it r5 but i used skyrider sword before i got it and it works great!
I got xinqui when I first started playing. At first I was disappointed. And then i got c1, sad again. But after playing a while with him i realised. And in zhonglis rerun i wanted to get him but got "the bell" twice(>
ye "xingqui" (xingqiu btw) but yeah he's honestly rly good, lol i only got 2 yanfeis, a 5 beidous, and like 5 xinqius, gl pulling for more! did u get zhongli btw? (i won zhongli 50/50 but lost on ganyu's banner at 84 pity to diluc :( but luckily i got her at 43 pity after that, only had about 130 pulls saved up ahah i definitely got lucky though i did spend 60 dollars, most of it was just wasted as i only needed like 20 pulls lol) it's on my channel if u wanna see it (i recorded both things btw this isn't intended to be self-advertising lol)
@@2ndGenerationYT yess I went for zhongli and i did get him!!
@@siva_vardhan oo gg!!
another thing: favonius sword and amenoma kageuchi have less energy requirements than just "non sacrificial sword weapons". R1 Favonius usually requires around 218-220%(unless c6 which changes it to 180-185%), and amenoma R1 requires around 225-230 (or 170-180% with c6). the difference between sacrificial sword and favonius really isn't that large especially considering emblem is his bis which makes him have 180% ER on default and ER substats can carry the rest of your stats, allowing you to give him an atk% sands.
the requirement obviously goes down with refinement ofc.
Omg I just got his c5 and thought of building him this is PERFECT TIMING THANK YOU
Thank you for being Zajef77's voice! I appreciate all his videos!
I always watch your guides even having the character in the vid already built just because I love how good your videos are, so much love and attention is put to making these and I'm so thankful for having such a good content creator working to share all that information with us!
I wish you only the best, much love!
Lmaooo this reminds me of when Tectone was like "nah Xingqiu isn't nearly as good as Bennett"
But like- Xingqiu is essential for several meta teams-
Thanks for standing up for Xingqiu, Mr.
So pushing out some exact math for this is nearly impossible.
especially taser comp has me really confused who exactly needs the em
@@Naverdo Nobody need EM except sucrose because she can proc many swirl reaction
Neat guide. Now I just need two Xingqius for my abyss team. He's irreplaceable.
my favorite team right now is albedo, xingqiu, ayaka, and zhongli so i was SO pleased to see this video go up. the damage was *chef kiss* before i put proper artifacts on him, can't wait to see how he does with the emblem 4set i farmed while watching this
Your guides are awesome, and I have been watching for awhile now. Would you ever consider making guides for less popular characters (Barbara, Amber, Lisa)? I feel like they're going to waste, and would love to use them, but I don't know much about team building.
Yeay updated guide for my c6 Xingqiu, thanks Zy0X
love xingqiu so much, he was my first main and i finally got him to c6 thanks to the banners this patch!
manz ive been trying to get my c4 xingqiu to c6 using the banners this patch and ended up with c3 yanfei, and c1 beidou
hes not a 5 star cuz hes a gentlemen and dont want the future hydro archon to feel bad about it
Paired with yae miko his burst is REALLY good against almost if not all pyro enemies
My fav RUclipsr 💕
Thanks for this my xingqiu is finally c4
Love how this came out right as I was looking at your old one wondering you'd update it.

This guy is totally different from his Streamer form
5:38 imagine putting such an artifact on your support
I think my favorite feature is Xinqiu only needed a normal attacker rather than normal attack damage like Beidou and Raiden. It means you can swing and the swords will still show up and that's great since some enemies like Pyro Lectors need reactions and your Beidous and Raidens can't connect for the procs where XQ can.
Don’t ever be afraid if the video is to long because your videos and details is so good that everyone will appreciate every minute/second of it ✨✨
I finally got Xingqui in ganyu’s banner as J missed his event, can’t wait to use him soon with zhongli, hu Tao and xiangling
I went from not having xinqiu to c4 in this banner
Same lol
And there's me who's pulling for him and haven't got a single of his constellation. My beidou went from c0 to c4, yanfei c5 to c6 and some garbage weapons 😭
@@reditahafsa7148 oh man that sucks …
I went from not having him to C6. Luckiest day in life. So happy
@@baguette_connoisseur thats nice im hoping to get lucky and get c6 too
I haven't seen anyone mention this, so the probability of proccing sac sword is the probably of NOT not proccing on the first hit AND not proccing on the second hit, e.g. for R5 it's 1 - 0.2^2 = 0.96 or 96%.
Here's the full table:
0 refinements: 0.64
1 refinements: 0.75 (+17%)
2 refinements: 0.84 (+12%)
3 refinements: 0.91 (+8.3%)
4 refinements: 0.96 (+5.5%)
The number in parenthesis is the increase in odds of proccing the effect for that one additional refinement. While that 96% proc rate looks nice, it's only a 5.5% improvement over R4!
My xinqiu crite 7.0% 💀
I swear
thank you for the guide! I just got xingqiu’s c2 with the event, I’m glad it’s worth it :)
I actually managed to get my first xq of standard banner when I was around ar 25 and he carried me through all of the content.
Lion's roar xingqiu on raiden national is severely underrated, I go from 4.9k to 6.4k per rainsword
Right
I try Lion's roar on Xingqiu in Vaporize team and the dmg output is pretty good. So, I think it's more better in Raiden national team.
its been years and god damn it i have to give him a NEW ARTIFACT SET? AAAAAAAAA (im actualy happy cus he already does big dmg for my hu tao team)
FINALLYY I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS UPDATE GUIDEE!!!
Thank you so much for this guide!! I do know about the artifact sets and the weapons but I was so confused on the substat... Thanks for breifing it out :)
I was wondering why this came up on my recommended because I had just watched your older guide last night. Nice timing.
I got C6 Xingqiu in the first month since starting Genshin. I did 50 pulls on Kokomi’s banner and got about 4 copies, and I got the other 3 from beginner’s banner and standard lol at the time, I knew he was popular but not how broken he was lol
It probably should also be mentioned that favonius will be better than sacrificial when using him with characters like hu tao, yoimiya, or xiao that want a lot of field time
what a coincidence. I was thinking of building Xingqiu cause I got him to C6 and you made an updated video of him
personally i run around 220% on him since i don't have his c6 yet. with sacrificial sword you only need to use his skill twice to get his burst back, which is very helpful for hu tao!
i have c6 w sac sword and i still use around 200% on him, maybe its a little overkill in raiden national but idc its nice to have a character i can battery without thinking, unlike xiangling
I literaaly just got xingqiu to level 90 and you just uploaded a new guide on building his as support. Bro your literally the chest genshin build youtube i know
Thank you for the knowledge. It was good to know in which situations other swords will be better over sacrificial sword.
Thanks for the updated Xingqiu guide! I just got his C6 after pulling for Ganyu and I was still using your last guide as reference lol
although i started in November 2020 i just got xingqiu a few days ago and this guide will help. Thanks
Me and my friends have been calling him "water twink" since he came out, and sometimes we actually forget his real name
Awesome and very informative! Thank you 🙏🏼
BiS is Sacrificial sword Skyward in theory but is huge trap when it comes to gameplay. R5 sacrificial sword beats any 5* sword on Xinqui by miles not even close. Xinqui is sub dps his role is to apply hydro and use elemental burst.
To summerise: So basically he is a support but you build him as a typical DPS but with Emblem artifact's focus on ER and Sacrificial Sword if you're F2P, else the Jade Cutter is a better option for people who have better luck or a wallet.
planning to run a national team with raiden once she comes home and your guides have helped immensely, thank you!
