Yep, Lambo really only has the V12 line where each model lasts a decade. Lambos' V10s since th LP Gallardos are literally just Audis. Ferrari has had so many legendary cars since the 40s.

You gotta stop listening to people who've never even driven a Ferrari about what Ferrari's policies are. It's really simple, Ferrari sells art. Ferrari will not continue selling art to people who do not represent their brand well. Ferrari is not short on customers who will represent their brand well, and its not hard to represent their brand well. To avoid the black list simply don't butcher your Ferrari, you can still tune it, you can still upgrade the exhaust. To avoid a cease and desist simply don't break the contract you signed which means don't de-badge their cars, don't use Lamborghini or another competitors paint, wheels etc and you have nothing to worry about.

I don't get it though. Feruccio bought a race car that was lightly detuned for the road, of course the racing suspensions and engines, and lightweight thin interiors are not the most comfortable. Just buy a mercedes or a rolls royce if you want luxury.

@@ew8683 Well, this is a subjective conversation. Obviously Ferrari has a longer history with more cars, but I don't personally find most of them tremendously compelling. The Enzo, for example, in my book that scores negative points. One of my favorite Ferraris of all time, the 308 GT4, was the only one designed by Bertone/Gandini. Looks like a Lamborghini. The Lamborghinis that look Ferrari-ish (eg 350 GT) I don't like. The first car that ever interested me at all was the Countach. That was ground-zero for me with cars, so I have a sentimental connection to wedge-shaped Lamborghinis that I don't have with Ferraris. If others have the connection the other way, I don't think that's wrong. But I'm definitively not interested in how much some Wall Street bond trader paid for his investment-grade 250 GTO that never gets driven.

The Enzo and F40 are automotive gold.
The only reason Lamborghini still exist and makes decent cars its because Audi saved them from extinction. Before they were junk cars to be honest. Ferrari simply has more heritage and has made their mark in motorsports.

@@Prod_Beatzz What is recent V10 Ferrari? Lambo has V10 in huracan, V8 in urus, and V12 in Aventador which will be replaced with hybrid V12 in Revuelto, and that V12 is completely new engine design. As a young person, Lamborghini approach is more familiar to me. They are more fun oriented, launching Huracan Sterrato for example.

While I share Doug’s taste, Ferrari without Lambo wouldn’t be what it is today. We need the balance between the brand that takes itself too seriously and can’t take a joke, and the rival that is more chill and is okay with being more about the show than the go.

It’s quite the opposite actually, Lamborghini would still be making tractors if it wasn’t for Ferrari. Just the sheer history of Ferrari makes it much more special. Enzo Ferrari made cars out of his passion for cars and racing whereas Lamborghini was rather fueled with spite.

Not necessarily true people are manual swapping cars and ferrari doesn't care, it's certain things that they feel will damage their brand. Ferrari is an Italian company to them their product is more important than the customer, they have a LOT of pride in their cars so when people fuck with them a lot they take it as an insult.
