Throughout the flick, there's no explanation to the blue spirit things and other plot points, but they don't at all disrupt the beauty and perfection of it.

When the music and background noise compelling, the blend of cgi with a artistic hand painted flair is astounding, and the atmosphere is so haunting that the lack of explanation in the story doesn't anger you but highly intrigues you so.....
    THAT is masterful animation.

So for those who didn't understand what was said:
Girl: "There's enough wind for us to go!"

Girl: "I don't want to go without you!"

MiniMizzie24 French is such a 'pretty'-sounding language, if you will---and I mean that in a POSITIVE-way! Just wish I'd taken more time in my schooling as a youth, and learned more about it, it seems to 'flow' so beautifully off the tongue, at least to me...☺!

Upon the world that broke and twine,
Where cloud that wrought to void the shine.
Beckon life that the girl would meet,
Of world below the crumble greet.
Strand of pool of mystic blue,

Cedric Scorch when I was younger I would love to write poems, and I still do. My 3rd grade teacher made us write a winter poem, that HAD to rhyme. so I worked on it for a while, I was so frustrated. I finally finished and i thought it was really good, then... my teacher scolded me. so I never seemed to like rhymes ever again, but I do think it is a GREAT talent for people who can do rhyming poems that ARE good. And it is a good poem, sorry I dont like rhymes!

You guys should tell Disney how to make movies. I'm sure they could learn a lot from you! This animation was so intense.. emotional. It got everything and more of what Disney lacks these days..

    • @Mrweaver124
      @Mrweaver124 10 лет назад +1

Almost every one of there movies is about drama or they f**k up a old story before they release it.
Tangled: Rapunzel leaves the safety of her life from an evil witch to love a thief.
Cinderella(American Form)(And almost every other Disney movie: Girl loves a guy, or a guy from hard times loves a more easy timed girl.
Princess and The Frog: Little bit different. Girl falls into a problem, guy helps with it and they fall in love.
So, I don't even think Disney had old times.

Because not everybody are easily impressed and like form over substance ?
Sorry but visual porn can take you only so far, at some point you have to put some story or some sort of narrative into the video, this one lacks that.
You can enjoy as long as the girl is alone, but when they start talking the video instantly falls apart, with no backstory, no characterization, no character development or any additional information on whats going on you are left with only questions and no answers. What are the glowing thingies, whats the meaning of the talisman, why he wants to kill her, does he want to kill her ? Why are they flying, why the city is destroyed, is this the flood of the millennium ? IS there anywhere to go ? Why build that thing in a low positioned region, and so on and so on.
      Also its boring as shit.

The blend of the 2D paintings and animations with the 3D modeled characters is so well done and the music really sets the mood of the setting. I couldn't stop to wonder though, that this would be a great video game. As the girl seemed to collect the spores of energy to fuel the air ship, it would be a great action platformer or interactive storytelling.
