- Starting with loops is one of the most enjoyable and effective ways to spark new ideas and breathe life into your songwriting process. In this video, we write a whole song from scratch using loops as inspiration - featuring the sample-based instrument ‘Chromatic' from LANDR.

This song is so so so good. Thanks Benny and Keppie you guys are rockstars!
I didn't use a loop but I recorded a song a while back using basically the same concept of building a song from scratch using a prompt. The phrase you used "For The Love of Strangers" and the phrase I used was "See Ya In Paradise"
I'm glad you've covered loops.
Incredible song a process, thanks!
I *love* this video, why?
1. The use of the lyric prompt is a great idea. I often use song titles in this way.
2. You're demonstrating how to use tools like LANDR to generate and develop song ideas! Well done 😁
3. It's also worth noting that you two work really well together. I'm sure that is partially due to your history of collaboration.
Thanks mate! Yes, 20 years of friendship helps in the collaboration part ;) Using the loops was also super fun!
@@htws You've definitely honed your sense of bringing the right thing to each other during your sessions! So, 👏
Related to the video, how long did you two work to get the song across the "finish line"? 🤔
@@KennethGonzalez We worked on it for about 3 hours I'd say. The production was a separate thing, of course. But you know, every song is different. Some songs take 20 minutes, some take 2 years. Some look like they take 20 mins, but I've been mulling it over in my head all week, so it's hard to classify the time...
this was dope 😁
I think this is one of your best videos. Funny but full of stuff to learn. From zero to 100 guiding us through the process. I love it.
Cheers from Italy guys!
So nice to hear from you. Thanks Manco (from Australia!)
Awesome
I wish there where people who did this but with hip hop rnb hiphoprnb music
Another great video. Thank you for the inspiration
You’re most welcome Tony, thanks for the support!
