I have 6 rescue cats (full time) in a small camper. How can rig an opening for the cats to go in and out on the deck and if a storm comes and I am away helping my parents they can come in and be safe from the storms?
@@framedelvisguy1727 if you have your cats micro chipped, you can buy and install a doggie door that only opens for their microchips so other animals can’t come in.
We are hoping to get a Class C, Thor Majestic, so we can fit all 5 cats and our pet bird on the trip to our new home across the country. The Majestic doesn't have anywhere near the room you have in your trailer, but I think we'll be able to make do for the ride across the country. It will be tight, though. I love many of the ideas you have here! Only one in our 5 are happy to go for walks with a harness. That one LOVES it, but the rest seriously hate it, and so we don't bother them with it anymore. We have one Maine Coon mix male that is over 16 lbs, (not fat!) and is a bully to the rest of the cats. We're going to let him have the bunk over the driver's seat, to himself. We'll set up a screen so he has to stay up there when the others are moving about the coach. Then, when they go back into their carriers, we'll let him out to move about. It's sort of how we live now in our house. He is confined for part of the day, and then the others get confined while he moves about. We do what we have to do!

And my youngest cat, Freddie, seems to be kind of a clone of your Diesel. When we moved in to this rental house 1 year and a half ago we noticed that we had a bunch of cats hanging around. Turns out the previous residents just dumped their cats when they moved out. Freddie was a year old or less when he was dumped! He initially woudn't let us get any closer than 20 or 30 feet, but with time and patience we got him socialized and brought him indoors. He spends most of the day sleeping on my desk, between me and my laptop. As a result of being dumped at such a young age he is definitely an omega cat, and is afraid of a lot of things.
We bought this same floor plan with our cats in mind (Forest River Sabre 36BHQ). We have 2 cats and 2 large dogs, 1 of which loves cat food and Kitty Rocha. Our bunkhouse door is a barn door slider so we can clip the bar to keep the opening at 5 -6 inches... Big enough for the cats to have full access and too small for the troublesome Husky to get in. We will start our full time RV on April 1st but hit the road on around May 1st. That gives us about a month to all get used to the new space, before hitting the road. I may start documenting our own adventures in this life so keep an eye out! Love the window seats for your truck and the pheromone plug-in idea!

Wow, I really can't believe it! So many great ideas. I first saw your Kitty Launch Pad and loved it. Then I thought, yeah, the kitty litter box. Our kitties will be well taken care of when we get our RV. Already knew the loft was a must for them! Oh, and I read some comments about the kitty litter smell. If you do it right, you don't have any smell, and I know, because I have a super-sensitive nose. I can smell dog poop from 3 houses away (yes, I literally tracked it because I was working outside and couldn't stand it) so I work hard at an odorless zone. No one has ever complained about there being a smell in my house, and I have VERY outspoken friends! Y'all have an intelligent use of space.

We got a toy hauler since I work from home and needed the back area for my desk and the cat tree. We don’t travel. We just live in it in an RV park. I have three cats.

We made the ladder attachment. It’s a cloth top to a cube (like a foot stool) and we made a hinge and screwed the top to it. If you go to our Instagram page Radar Road Warriors, then to our profile you’ll see pinned stories. Look under “RV Upgrades” and you’ll see a couple pictures of it in there including the underside.

Im sacrificing and cutting a hole in the bottom bathroom cabenit and making it a litter box area. Im not sure about my 2nd yet, but I will renovate the damn thing just to keep it away from the living room, bedroom and kitchen!

I clean daily so about 15 minutes of normal cleaning.
We are a couple months from moving into an rv with 2 cats and a small dog. Any advice is appreciated

Do the cats scratch your furniture?
They scratch the blue chair in the kitchen that is in the video but not the leather.
It is better to play hunt with something that the cats can actually catch, lasers can give them a lot of anxiety
My cats seem to love their toys and the laser light. But i can’t read their mind so 🤷🏻♀️

@@darkespeon64 sounds like you go to homes with some bad smelling litter. We definitely don’t have that issue.
