Compared to DAv3 this has better shape (totally subjective ofc), better coating, mechanical switches, easier to mod and included grips. This should be much better unless you prefer palm grip, love opticals or have very big hands, then Deathadder is the way to go.
On paper the op1 got a lower height than viper ultimate/v2 pro, the two mice that I own but I find a bit on the flat side. But what do you think about the actual shape of the op1, is the hump’s placement able to support the palm better than the vipers?
i would love to see an optical and mechanical hotswap version with wireless and bt someday, even if it would take until 2025 or 2026 with nearly the same latenmcy annd cfg tool
i just received my copy and i switched out the original switches with the 50-55 switches but for some reason they feel little less lighter and louder is there a reason for that is there maybe something i could have done wrong.
8k polling rate uses a lot of CPU anyway. Won't work well unless you have top end new CPU. 2k or 4k will use a decent amount of CPU too. Imo it uses too much resources for hardly any noticeable difference. Better to use those resources for more FPS. 1k is just better imo
i love EGG mice but I've had issues with their cable, I kept having to replace them cause if you tug on it even with minimal force, it stops working at least from my experience. Apart from that, I love my xm2we and my xm1rs.
There is no reason at all to tug, thus why you need a bungie to have loose cable around while playing. If that’s not the case, revisit your set up. I’ve never had issues with any wired mouse, including XM1r
Since the release of the original xm1 i love EGG so much, even tho i alreayd have xm2 and xm1 i will probably buy this one. 8k and smaller shape i think i could main that for sure especially because i have smaller hands and i claw grip,
Glad to hear it. I was about to get a wireless mouse because of y’all. It’s great to get the awesome performance for half the price of wireless. With an elevated cable holder I think it’s nearly the same ease of movement you get with wireless
Is it just me am I the jaded one for saying we have a bit of an obsession now for everything to be wireless because the market has been flooded with all these wireless mice? Reason I say that is many now looked at a wired mouse and give it the red headed step child treatment and sent to the corner. Of course each implementation has its own advantages, I would argue wired still holds the crown for a few reasons. I have both wired and wireless, Pulsar x2 mini, Pulsar og, Sora 4k. I don't care what these companies say about their wireless tech, a wire will always provided the fastest, stable connection. You never need to charge the battery, I would argue even that the freedom you can have with no wire, providing there is a good implementation of the cord how it sits into the mouse and if you have an adequate bungie, the metrics would be negligible between the two. Easier to make lightweight without having to completely alter the shell. Also because I have had this issue with all of my wireless mice, being they run on 2.4ghz, I run wifi 6 on one computer and the other is cat7. Anytime there is a lot of downloading or uploading all the mice start stuttering until i plug them in and are not using the network anymore. This is not to say it happens to everybody but it is an issue. Not crapping on wireless, I own some. Just saying don't forget about the past, still a lot of benefits there so much so I would argue you get more benefits and less potential issues versus what convivence you get from wireless.
This is awesome to see, but can't help to feel a little betrayed by the fact that these new switch packs (or somehing similar) don't work on the OP1we. I got the "lighter" switch pack for it but still didn't like them, and it's honestly the only thing keeping me from maining it over the Atlantis Mini.
It shouldn't not be an issue with RPG's as you don't need super fast and precise accuracy thats wanted when playing FPS games where even the drag of the cable can hamper your pecision costing you your life.
Ignoring the ugly software, this looks like a pretty darn good mouse but I remember the feel and nuisance that the cable can be, i just can't go back to a wired mouse.
M2K supposedly had the lowest click latency with 110 microseconds tested on the XLAT per OptimumTech's testing. The OP1 8K was tested on an XLAT with an average of 70ish microseconds. Sensor latency wise though, we don't really know if it's going to be the fastest. Razer still has the edge on sensor tech because they have exclusivity with Pixart for the 3950 sensor (one generation ahead of the 3395 which is what everyone else is using). So it's probably unlikely that this will have lower sensor latency than Razer's most up to date mice. Rtings will probably do some testing for the OP1 8K in the next couple of months which will give us initial movement sensor latency, middle movement latency, and end movement latency.

@drewmorg6446 I mean if someone is used to wireless and has low sensitivity it might be hard to use wires but there's still plenty of people who prefer wired even if it wasn't cheaper. And of course you don't need to charge it and it's lighter than the wireless equivalent.
@drewmorg6446 It's up to you really. If it were me, I would take into account sensor latency, shape, weight, and price. Then I decide off of that. This ticks all those boxes for me, but your priorities might be different. And it's wireless. But also 300 dollars. I also don't like the shape.
The Razer mice basically always have an edge because they get exclusive 1 year early-access to the newest pixart sensors. The viper mini signature has been on a 3950 sensor while everyone else is on the "older" 3395's (I think the one year mark for the 3950's is in a few months, so then new mice will come out with those).
