Virginia Tate!!!! I love this piece!!! One of the best recordings EVER!!!! But haha by the way, I also noticed that with her masterclass that performer was playing Eric Sammut's 4 Rotations Pour Marimba(movement III), I saw the scores in her hand by coincident, hahaha!!! Wonderful job:-))!!!
She just gave 5 of our high school percussionist including me a master class today at the University of Arkansas in Fayettville. She is an amazing teacher and a remarkable musician.
@KickinBabys Bravo ! You're part of the very few people who see the cat ! A very parisian cat in fact !! And you're right She-e plays great !!! Richard
@psmadbeck Wow !! Little sentence, huge impact ! I guess you already told her what you just wrote ! If not I'll transmit ! By the way, I love this piece ! Congratulations ! Best. R
Hello, 20 secondes after the beginning I have inscripted the title of the tune played by She-e, it is a tune called Virginia Tate by Paul Smadbeck. Yours R
Since this was recorded in 2000 it's more likely they are her signature mallets she had with Mallettech (Now known as the "Chamber series" since she's now with Innovative Percussion)
Hi, Does anyone look carefully at the video ? 20 secondes after the beginning I have inscripted the title of the tune played by She-e, it is a tune called Virginia Tate by Paul Smadbeck. I wrote this two month ago, does anyone read the comments ? :) Take care Richard
I am guessing the white ones are the Stevens mallets produced by Malletech. I have a set of the 15s and the 20s and they sound great. The blue ones at the beginning are likely the signature line she created with Innovative
Ok she may have missed some notes. What's the point ? When I took this video she was playing this tune just to wait the right schedule for her masterclass. I found her playing graceful ! I matched it with a rehearsal when she was playing the same tune. The way she plays makes me fly ! I'd like to listen to many other performers that would miss notes and make me dream like she does !!! There is no offence, ... there is only good music ! Enjoy it !
so i suppose you like to look up things like afta stuba and flight of the bumblebee for pure eye candy. She is one the best there is, her technique is immaculate. Dont like it? You try playing octaves like that
She-e plays this better than anyone, including myself. With respect,
Paul Smadbeck

Those are probably the stevens marimba mallet, known for the extremely light wieght. I think
what's wrong with flight of the bumblebee.

Great player, but she is way too nice here...you can only see the real she-e until you are part of her studio...
Haaaa so true
