  • Time to head down to the plot to check up on the pumpkins that were planted out. In between rain storms. The weather has been terrible so far for June and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better anytime soon.
A managed to do a few jobs and plant out some more seeds. I will be planning on sowing a load more seeds indoors again - as most things at the plot are not growing well or being eaten - hopefully July - September will be better months and the growth will explode. The main thing that is growing well are the weeds!!

Another plot holder got some manure that has a herbicide in it. Anyone who offers the plots manure MUST be asked if they use chemicals on their pasture or where the animals were.
Unfortunately the herbicide commonly used to control weeds is very harmful to the vegetable plants, and it stays for up to 3 years!
This year has been very poor for most gardeners. It's been soggy, cool, cold then warm for a few days.
    Warm weather crops are struggling.
Wishing the people who are plot holders some decent weather.

It has been insanely cold and wet here too Mark. We actually went camping and it snowed 😮.. hope it warms up soon or no one will have any harvests. Have a great week, Ali

This afternoon/evening it’s been quite hot (well considering the cold we’ve had recently). They reckon it’s going to get up to 30C soon, we shall see 🤔

Love the set up you’ve got with your tomatoes Mark. I might look out for those frames and clips for mine.
