✨1 Timothy 6:6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
Beautiful words in this video sis. I’m sorry you’re feeling like this, God’s promises are all that’s keeping me encouraged too.
✨Psalms 94:19 In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.
I lament and cry over this evil world and often think I can’t take it anymore. But I try to remember all of this is for God’s glory, we will be praising him forever and it’ll be more than worth it in the end.
✨Revelation 21:4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.
Even the prophets of God felt this way too and sometimes they even asked God to take their lives as they couldn’t deal with their anxieties either.
Moses - Numbers 11:15 “If You treat me like this, please kill me here and now--if I have found favor in Your sight--and do not let me see my wretchedness!”
Elijah - 1 Kings 19:4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!”
Job - Job 3:11 “Why did I not die at birth? Why did I not perish when I came from the womb?
Jeremiah - Jeremiah 20:14 Cursed be the day in which I was born! Let the day not be blessed in which my mother bore me!
Jonah - Jonah 4:8 And it happened, when the sun arose, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat on Jonah’s head, so that he grew faint. Then he wished death for himself, and said, “It is better for me to die than to live.”

what a great scripture (the Timothy one)! Thanks for sharing! Thank you, and that's ok!! xx I'll have to pin your comment- you're mentioning so many touching and poignant scriptures here- thanks so much for sharing!!!
I feel the same- the news of the Libya flood and 20,000 dead- on top of everything else happening- I've been feeling so sad about this world and life- it's obvious these are the birth pains (or maybe we've passed the birth pains now?!) but it's tough to see everything materialise right in front of us.
Yep, you're right- the prophets felt the way we do and wished they could escape this life also- I really like reading their writings because of this. I'm also due to re-read Ecclesiastes because it's so relatable , but have been spending time in Ecclesiasticus this week instead.
I'm going to save those verses on a google doc, so I can easily refer to them when I'm feeling down... A lovely way to start the sabbath by reading this- thank you ❤❤❤
