Except that is not how it is done. Strip the form, and stamp it with the correct stamp. They make end stamps. Think about how an end of a log looks. The grain is round. That is where the right stamp makes the whole job.

Wow!! Seriously one of the best how-to stamp videos I’ve ever watched on RUclips. And I’ve seen nearly all of them. Great work and great detailed descriptions of every step! Going to try adding this service to my landscape business in the future after I hire the right experienced guys!
Awesome. Thanks! When we first started we found a local concrete finisher that would help us pour the concrete…and then we’d take over from there. It really made learning the process a lot easier. Best of luck with the new venture. Let me know how it goes. 👍🏻
Yo Tim! I live in Charlottesville, let me come work with y’all! 6 years nonstop concrete placing finishing stamping experience. Got all my experience doing shotcrete skateparks everything hard trowel beautiful finish, stamping, stencil, stain, exposed agg, form carpentry, rebar, trowel machine, etc I’ve done it ! Love your stuff and want to work with a passionate crew that really cares. Holler at me.
I landed here searching for something completely different, but it seemed interresting, so i stuck. I'm glad i did. It looks great. I like the truck driver, he is standing there like a garden gnome 2:26
Join a construction union. We need lots of help !!! Laborers local 274 & 120 here in Indiana are great hubs for getting so much diversified experience such as- concrete, bridgework, asphalt, stormdrain, commercial, industrial, heavyhighway, etc... you get the picture. You can work all year round to. Take care brother.
I subscribed to your channel, a really cool feature would be if you periodically showed a timer or clock so the time-lapse is easier to comprehend for people wanting to learn the timing between steps. Great content!
I seen this video on Snapchat and just had to look you guys up!! This is extremely BEAUTIFUL!! I honestly have never seen anything like it or even knew this was possible with concrete. Wonderful jobs guys 👏
Can you tell me what color you used for the color hardener, and integral concrete color in this video? If you were pouring a small walkway and were mixing the concrete on your own what concrete mix would you use?
I would still put a membrane between the house and concrete. It's a must if you're going against brick or concrete wall. Will Crack you're walls if not done.
Hi Tim, where can I find used stamps or rent stamps? We are looking to do an outdoor kitchen with stamped concrete and also epoxy floor in our barn in WV. Thanks love your videos.
Thank you! 🙏🏻 We’ve been schedule to record a podcast like 3 different times in the past week but it keeps getting postponed. 🤦🏻♂️ new one soon though. I hope.
Hello I love your design! I would like to make my patio in coming summer! Do you mind let me know more what the material you have used, it make the color shiny xx
Please advise what would be a good sealer to use on stained stamped concrete driveway that would be safe for hot-tire marks. Thank you kindly, as always super work!
@@TimDCVA Thanks, Tim. I have the same situation: a sloped patio covered by an overhang. Still, I am thinking of flashing the bottom of the wall, just in case of a driving rain.

It’s different on every job. You just have to wait until the bleed water is gone and the concrete is firm enough to hold the weight of you walking on it.
Spectacular finishes on both the stone and wood stampings. Really nice work! I noticed you didn't use expansion joints between your new and old concrete, nor wire mesh in the slabs. Are those not necessary for a job that size?
Thanks! We used rebar...not sure there’s any benefit to using mesh & rebar. Technically we probably should have used expansion joint material on the wood plank pad...but I think it’s ugly in the finished product.
I LOVED the edging details. To me that's a rare finishing detail that isn't done often. If not often, not at all. Great content.
Thank you! 🙏🏻 😊 Really appreciate the encouragement. 👍🏻

I totally agree. This adds a lot to the value of home; especially the "curbside appeal" aspect.
No saben nada nada
Thank you!
Out of all the videos i have watched on stamp concrete i feel this is the easiest to follow along to learn
Thank you!
I love the look of wood plank!

Can you tell me what color you used for the color hardener, and integral concrete color in this video? If you were pouring a small walkway and were mixing the concrete on your own what concrete mix would you use?
Sand buff integral and color hardener. Dark Gray release. Both from Increte systems.
Quikrete 5000. We always order from a concrete plant though.
That's was awesome 👌 👏
Wonderful

We haven’t had any issues with that on this project (it’s at my office) and it’s over a year old.
Good job I want to do a walk way around my back yard where can I get some stamps about 2ft x 4ft
The wall got the colour
The entire building got painted after we finished the concrete.
Hi Tim, where can I find used stamps or rent stamps? We are looking to do an outdoor kitchen with stamped concrete and also epoxy floor in our barn in WV. Thanks love your videos.
I’m not sure who rents stamps in your area. Send me a DM on IG… I might be able to point you in the right direction… depending on where you are in WV.

hi..love your tutorial. thanks.
Please can I use thinner as an acid base to wash off the release
Hello I love your design! I would like to make my patio in coming summer! Do you mind let me know more what the material you have used, it make the color shiny xx
This is video 12:41 many thanks 😊
Everything is from Increte Systems. The sealer is Increte Clear Seal.
Awesome 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Haha I like how you just hoped for the best in them allowing you to add the color 😆😆 assume the sale. At least he was a good sport 👌🏼
Haha. Sometimes the drivers complain about it. You never know how they are going to act. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ He was cool though.
TimDCVA what was your plan B in case he was like “no sorry, we can’t allow you to do that !” ?
Haha. I guess we would have only thrown color hardener. Not a huge deal.
U
What size of brick jointer is that? The one used to make the lines more noticeable
We have two. One looks like a bull horn that goes from about 3/16” to 3/4”
The other one is an S tool that has 1/2” wide joints.
Gorgeous Tim. Where are you located?
Thank you! Lynchburg, VA.
What’s the name of the color you put on the concrete? Or how can I get the same color of concrete it looks amazing!!
How did you clean the spatter off the painted siding next to the patio?
We pressure washed it and then painted over it. It’s our shop and we planned on painting the entire building before we started the project.
Now I can go from normal to middle class lol. Thanks man!!
Ha. 👍🏻
what acids did u use to wash the surface
Is there a link to the actual mat you’re using? Specific that large random flagstone. I like the size
It’s called “Large random flagstone” by Increte systems.
Do you have to oil the stamps so they don't pick or stick?
Nevermind lol, I just saw the part about the "release agent"
Please advise what would be a good sealer to use on stained stamped concrete driveway that would be safe for hot-tire marks.
Thank you kindly, as always super work!
I like D1 from Deco-crete Supply.
I see that the surface of the patio is flush with the sill plate of the house. How do you prevent driving rain from infiltrating the house?
There is 1/4” of slope away from the door and the it also has a big overhang from the roof.
@@TimDCVA Thanks, Tim. I have the same situation: a sloped patio covered by an overhang. Still, I am thinking of flashing the bottom of the wall, just in case of a driving rain.
Could you bull float the color hardener in?
Yes you can.
WOW!!! is there a possibility to create a DIY wood molding?
After washing off the release off with pressure washer. Do you have to reach with acid? I feel like there is still some release left over
We don’t use a pressure washer unless it’s a really big job. We always use acid to get release off after we’ve rinsed it once.
I see. It's a 20x 72 . But not sure if I should hit again with pressure washer or acid
Awesome!! Can this be done over existing concrete?
Thanks!
Yes we can also pour stamped concrete overlays. 👍🏻
@@TimDCVA wow, I guess I'll have to buy your crew some airline tickets so you can fly up to Massachusetts and get stated.
hey I want this at my house. pls come and make it! I live in sweden and I will pay the ticket for you! xD
Haha.
Can you do stamped concrete over a pea gravel patio?
Yes you can.👍🏻
I really love this Job...how can I get all this tools?
Google “Increte Systems”
How soon after pouring the mix can I start stamping
How long should I wait
It’s different on every job. You have to wait until after the bleed water is gone.
What are the raw materials required for this making and how we get .
How long after sealing is it safe to put furniture and items on the surface?
Usually a day or two. Depends on the weather.
OMG Thank you 🌹
What psi concrete would you recommend while using integral color and hardener without it drying too fast??
You would use a 5 sack mix, which 3000 psi concrete.
Awesome video!!!! I love how it looks!!! Where can i get the stamps?
Thanks! We got these stamps from Increte.
Nice how much to do this inside of 960sqft home?
