    I LOVED the edging details. To me that's a rare finishing detail that isn't done often. If not often, not at all. Great content.

      Except that is not how it is done. Strip the form, and stamp it with the correct stamp. They make end stamps. Think about how an end of a log looks. The grain is round. That is where the right stamp makes the whole job.

      I totally agree. This adds a lot to the value of home; especially the "curbside appeal" aspect.

      It’s different on every job. You have to wait until after the bleed water is gone.

    What psi concrete would you recommend while using integral color and hardener without it drying too fast??

      You would use a 5 sack mix, which 3000 psi concrete.

      There are too many variables to be able to quote this once here. I’d you’d like a price, then contact us through the form on our website.

    How long do you have to let the concrete set before stamping? Ty

    • @TimDCVA
      @TimDCVA  3 года назад +1

      It’s different on every job. You just have to wait until the bleed water is gone and the concrete is firm enough to hold the weight of you walking on it.

    Spectacular finishes on both the stone and wood stampings. Really nice work!
    I noticed you didn't use expansion joints between your new and old concrete, nor wire mesh in the slabs. Are those not necessary for a job that size?

      Thanks!
      We used rebar...not sure there’s any benefit to using mesh & rebar.
      Technically we probably should have used expansion joint material on the wood plank pad...but I think it’s ugly in the finished product.
