Nissim is a l legend. Shloimile thanks for such an incredible vid! ❤
Hey Sholime! Just wanted to share that while working in downtown Cincinnati I ran into a group of 3 teenaged Hasscids. They asked if I was Jewish and I said no but then I told them that I watch your channel! It turns out they were Leboyvich too and they knew who you were!
They were passing out these cards that memorialized a Rabbi that passed in 1994 (I forget his name) . On the reverse side of the card were 7 rules or suggestions to grow your faith such as respect family boundaries, not to eat meat of a living animal (which I didn't understand because who eats an animal while it's alive!?)
Anyway, I used to live in Manhattan and I only.knew what my friends told me about Haccids. I didn't have a good opinion of Hasidic Jews until I watched Peters videos with you as the star. I'm glad that I did because Hasidic Jews seem like a great group of people!
Thank you Paul. That means the world to me. I really appreciate you sharing that with me and btw people do eat live octopus 🐙 hope to meet you someday bro. 😃
@@ShloimeZionce Everything that comes out of the water is not alive, but some eat the brain of a live monkey.
And in Africa they fight over a cow when it is alive, each one begins to take off a part of the side closest to him
Shloime and Peter are breaking down barriers by tearing down the curtain of unfamiliarity and showing us how people have way more in common with each other than we think!
Re eating live animals, watch Dances with Wolves with Kevin Costner. You'll see Native Americans chase an animal and tear it apart and eat it, live. We may not do that now, but historically it likely was more common.
Fresh Frog legs are considered a delicacy and frog killings are often terribly cruel, including ripping limbs and having them die a slow agonizing death...
That would constitute to the sin of eating meat if a live animal...
Ever hear of Ox Ball Soup? My friend was on a ranch where these cow parts were made into a soup, but the animals were still alive. That's a no-no for non-Jews according to the Torah. Before this law was given ( way before refrigeration) a meat eater could remove a leg from his animal for dinner, then cauterize the wound , keeping the meat "fresh", to eat in the future. God wants all mankind to know that is too cruel a practice.
Probably the best interview of Nissim Black I've seen so far. Thanks, Shloime - good one.
THANK YOU!!!
Nissim is an inspiring guy!Shloimie's videos are always worth the wait, Thanks for your work!
He’s so inspiring! Thank you for your kind words
Nissim is super inspiring. So much wisdom. Thank you Shloimy for this special video.
Our pleasure!
Shloime and Nissim together! My wife even understood my excitement. I am non-jewish but after watching Peter's videos, I quickly checked out your channel and picked up some literature.
Nissim's music has really touched me and got me motivated, and your happy, and endearing personality shows me what is really possible if you try.
Thank you so much for your content.
P.S. I'd love to learn what Hasidic-Jewish Literature you would suggest someone new to the topic of religion to pick up. YOU ROCK MAN! Many blessings! Have a good Rosh Hashanah!
I my self am a black male and I gravitate/resonate towards the Jewish religion it is something I am now taking very serious I feel like the teachings cover all aspects of life as we know it today....
That’s good you’re seeking a path but Judaism is a Gentile religion. Gentile meaning fake Jew. Read Genesis 10:3-5. Their lineage goes back to Japheth who was white. Whereas the Hebrew Israelites are black and u did say you’re black.
The Most High made his Covenant with the Hebrew Israelites not with Gentiles.
Nissim makes good music that’s why I’m here but even he’s confused bc he claims he’s Hasidic when technically speaking, Hasidic people are also white.
It's no coincidence that billions of people follow religions based on Judaism. We have an oral tradition that the exodus happened to find the souls of people like yourself. We have another tradition to discourage people from converting, however, and we don't seek converts. It can be much more pleasing to G-d to not convert. It all depends where you are in your life.
@@eastbayman2160
Judaism created the 3 Abrahamic religions, that’s why it’s no coincidence. Jews are converts, that’s why the Torah called them Gentiles. The oral traditions are man made via the Rabbis.
@@EnigmasEpiphany Genesis. the translated name of Sefer Bereishit, the first fifth of the Chumash, does not designate anyone as "white" or any other non-national identity group. Those are recent creations designed to destroy both Blacks and Jews, heaven forbid. The Torah does not call the Israelites "converts," although Rabbi Akiva, Yitro, and the Moabite line of King David were are from converts. It does call both Jews and non-Jews "Goyim" because that term just means "nation." The term "Jew" originated when we all lived in Persia. Shai Secunda talks about it. Converting is nothing to be ashamed of. The Khazar hypothesis, for example, is highly controversial because genealogical claims are rarely scientific, in the sense of being able to separate them from oral tradition. However, the Kuzari is an amazing book.
@@EnigmasEpiphany yes, the Rabbinic Jews are the Pharisees, those who separate ourselves. The Sadducees are similar to the Karaim, who lived in Egypt until recently. They reject the torah sh'baal peh, the oral law, so they don't recognize purim or chanukah, mezuzah, using lights on Shabbat, etc. Their interpretation of mezuzah is to print it on a plaque as far as i know. But they have their own oral tradition anyway, everyone does. The Rabbis are just bringing the law into written form because of the galus, the dispersion to become adrift as minorities in the nations of the world.
Your Videos are always full of inspiration and spread messages of love, hope, gratitude and so many other attributes. This small place herein wont be enough to list all my feelings. I' m so greatfull to have found you.
Wow, thank you
What a great Video Shloimy. As always with purpose and meaning. Thanks for showcasing this beautiful man! And thanks for sharing this. ❤️💪 Keep it up!
I appreciate that! so glad you enjoyed
I had been wanting to learn more about Nissim Black after recently watching a colab that he did. Great interview, Shloime!
when I was 17 I tried to convert to Hasidic Judaism. It was so hard. You must memorize so many rules and as a young woman who did not know how to cook or clean I would have really struggled. The Rabbi will turn you away three times. You have to read HUGE books to prove yourself. And I accidently wore wool with linen. So I broke rules I did not even know I was breaking! You have to REALLY love it to push through all of this to convert. I have a ton of respect for him!
Try reformist Judaism. It's much more relaxed with the little things. We still view ourselves as Jewish, and still follow the same holidays and traditions. But no one is going to kick you out because you wore wool with linen.
@@joebaumgart1146 TRUE! I was young. reform and concervative is best for me
So you guys choose your desires over what you believe is the truth aka Judaism. You can’t pick and choose what rules you want to follow because it suits. If you believe god set the rules you to accept it all or leave it.
@@khalidb8274 You guys don’t accept Yeshua is God. When Yeshua Bar Joseph said himself he came to fulfill the Torah not abolish it
@Joe Baumgart No one would kick anyone out for wearing wool with linen, and I don't think that was what she was saying. One also doesn't have to read a ton of big books to prove themselves. Yes, one must study, but the same goes for any Jew. But as far as conversion goes, if one is new to it, it may seem as if they have to do a lot of studying "before they are accepted", rather than just being introduced to studying which is in fact, part of the religion and culture. If one didn't grow up with it and is not used to it, Orthodox Judaism can be daunting. That is why we discourage conversion. It isn't for everyone.
Thank you, Shloime, for showcasing Nissim Black, with whom I am also a subscriber. I love this man; like you, Nissim is about bringing people together, while not compromising his values, and, as you know from what I’ve shared with you, that is something I think this world needs more of. Thank you, dear brother!💙

I'm visiting New York from Poland and had Mendelsohn's mushroom pizza 2 days ago on 18th Avenue
really great pizza, and the slice reminded me of Polish food called zapiekanka
wonderful staff and polite locals inside
That’s great!
This was awesome to watch s/o to you for showing love to nissim!
Thanks 😃
Nice to see Nissim doing so well and living large in Eretz Yisrael!
Shloime has great interviewing techniques--he lets his subject speak and doesn't interrupt them! A skill many can't learn and few can master. Yasher koach!
I lived in Jerusalem for 11 years. I returned to the US about two years ago to help take care of my mo'm but I remember having seen Nissim and his family on a few occasions in and around Meah Shea'rim while being a 'metapel',a 'care giver' ,for saintly Rabbi Yisrael Yitzhak Brandsdorfer, the brother of the equally saintly Me'ir Brandsdorfer,. NIssim is a holy brother.
Very interesting shloimy! Thanx for this beautiful video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing. You’re such a good interviewer. You know when to just listen and when to ask further - not an easy skill.

The Apostle Paul wrote that people are saved by faith and not by works.
In Galatians 3:11, Paul says, “Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous will live by faith”.
In Ephesians 2:8-9, Paul says that people are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, and not by their own efforts or works.
Paul also says that faith is a gift from God.
He says that Christians should have a faith that desires good works.
I'm not religious at all. I left Christianity and only had a passing interest in the Jewish faith of my grandmother's family. I'm just watching this cause I like Nissim's music
A GREAT ENTERTAINER, MAN &, RELIGIOUS LEADER OF TOGETHERNESS, TO BRING PEOPLE TO GREATLY UNDERSTAND 👍🏻 🕎.

I’ve never heard of this guy, but I do know who Matisyahu is.
My experience being too white was an issue. 12 tribes of Israel folks. Blonde with blue eyes. Not even saying he's gone through more. I know many Jews Asian, African American, Latino, and sadly Sefardi too. 💔
Too sad to find the truth about Kanye this past week!! 💓 May H' bless everyone!! 💓🌷💓✡️
Me thinking of my Nigerian and Chinese Jewish friends... As well as Hispanic Jewish friends. Also, Sirean friends. Every color of the RAINBOW 🌈
Incredible...
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Team Hashem!
Yasss!
People think that religious Jews think we're better than everyone else. Yes there are those among us who do. G-d knows who He observes is individually a better person, or who strives to be their best self. I've occasionally heard people of non-Jewish cultures say that their people are the best. To some extent it's human nature. I'm happy for the world to see examples of a variety of Jews who are good & contribute in their own ways. But G-d loves all of His human children, & presumably His other creations as well. I had to grow up to learn that.
Wow 👌 👏
Whoa!!!!!! Awesome!!!!!
I rented a silver Nissan once.
Given everything that has gone on with Kanye West lately, I wonder if he still wears his yeezies?
Unfortunately I had to quit watching when you went to his bckstage. That flickering light gave me a headacge::DD
I’m sorry about that. The flickering stops after a few seconds. You can just skip a drop and light will be fine.
Their is also an opera singer called Anthony Russell who sings in Yiddish
This guy is not a beleving jew. He knew he could make career as an black jewish artist. A big fraud...
@@adam.259 It maybe true that he is secular convert. I don't think it's fair to call him a fraud
Nissan black is fully immersed in Jewish life as are his wife and children. He has taken on major changes in his life and moving to Israel only made his life more complicated. To call him a fraud would mean he has been willing to put his family through a very long journey just for money. That is really unfair. It is extremely difficult to convert through an orthodox conversion. Since taking on 613 commandments is a massive undertaking conversion is not encouraged. If the Jewish court called a bais din allowed the black family to convert they had to demonstrate major major sincerity
Are you going to uman this year?
No idea
@@ShloimeZionce I'm in uman
👏🏽💯
In Dallas the Jewish schools allow all races. Don't even have to be Jewish! So hearing this is 💔
May Hashem comfort you on your Mama's OD.💔
His Whisky is lovely!
THE ARK OF THE COVENANT IS IN ETHIOPIA
FALASHA JEWS
Wow fascinating
You need a mic Bec the audio is wack. Great episode otherwise.
Yikes... discussing Kanye still being a genius 3 months before his Alex Jones conversation. Talk about timing!!
I didn't know you could convert if you aren't genetically Jewish.
Nissim may be jumping to conclusions about his kids and the schools. Everyone in the Jewish community knows Jewish black children who attended and graduated from religious schools. I don't think it was really about color. Most kids whose father performs live rap music or any other which is not of a religious Jewish flavor would have trouble getting into some (though not all) of the very religious schools.
