    Hey Sholime! Just wanted to share that while working in downtown Cincinnati I ran into a group of 3 teenaged Hasscids. They asked if I was Jewish and I said no but then I told them that I watch your channel! It turns out they were Leboyvich too and they knew who you were!
    They were passing out these cards that memorialized a Rabbi that passed in 1994 (I forget his name) . On the reverse side of the card were 7 rules or suggestions to grow your faith such as respect family boundaries, not to eat meat of a living animal (which I didn't understand because who eats an animal while it's alive!?)
    Anyway, I used to live in Manhattan and I only.knew what my friends told me about Haccids. I didn't have a good opinion of Hasidic Jews until I watched Peters videos with you as the star. I'm glad that I did because Hasidic Jews seem like a great group of people!

      Shloime and Peter are breaking down barriers by tearing down the curtain of unfamiliarity and showing us how people have way more in common with each other than we think!
      Re eating live animals, watch Dances with Wolves with Kevin Costner. You'll see Native Americans chase an animal and tear it apart and eat it, live. We may not do that now, but historically it likely was more common.

      That would constitute to the sin of eating meat if a live animal...

      Ever hear of Ox Ball Soup? My friend was on a ranch where these cow parts were made into a soup, but the animals were still alive. That's a no-no for non-Jews according to the Torah. Before this law was given ( way before refrigeration) a meat eater could remove a leg from his animal for dinner, then cauterize the wound , keeping the meat "fresh", to eat in the future. God wants all mankind to know that is too cruel a practice.

      That’s good you’re seeking a path but Judaism is a Gentile religion. Gentile meaning fake Jew. Read Genesis 10:3-5. Their lineage goes back to Japheth who was white. Whereas the Hebrew Israelites are black and u did say you’re black.
      The Most High made his Covenant with the Hebrew Israelites not with Gentiles.
      Nissim makes good music that’s why I’m here but even he’s confused bc he claims he’s Hasidic when technically speaking, Hasidic people are also white.

    • @eastbayman2160

      It's no coincidence that billions of people follow religions based on Judaism. We have an oral tradition that the exodus happened to find the souls of people like yourself. We have another tradition to discourage people from converting, however, and we don't seek converts. It can be much more pleasing to G-d to not convert. It all depends where you are in your life.

    • @EnigmasEpiphany
      @EnigmasEpiphany Год назад

      @@eastbayman2160
      Judaism created the 3 Abrahamic religions, that’s why it’s no coincidence. Jews are converts, that’s why the Torah called them Gentiles. The oral traditions are man made via the Rabbis.

    • @eastbayman2160
      @eastbayman2160 Год назад +3

      @@EnigmasEpiphany Genesis. the translated name of Sefer Bereishit, the first fifth of the Chumash, does not designate anyone as "white" or any other non-national identity group. Those are recent creations designed to destroy both Blacks and Jews, heaven forbid. The Torah does not call the Israelites "converts," although Rabbi Akiva, Yitro, and the Moabite line of King David were are from converts. It does call both Jews and non-Jews "Goyim" because that term just means "nation." The term "Jew" originated when we all lived in Persia. Shai Secunda talks about it. Converting is nothing to be ashamed of. The Khazar hypothesis, for example, is highly controversial because genealogical claims are rarely scientific, in the sense of being able to separate them from oral tradition. However, the Kuzari is an amazing book.

    • @eastbayman2160
      @eastbayman2160 Год назад

      @@EnigmasEpiphany yes, the Rabbinic Jews are the Pharisees, those who separate ourselves. The Sadducees are similar to the Karaim, who lived in Egypt until recently. They reject the torah sh'baal peh, the oral law, so they don't recognize purim or chanukah, mezuzah, using lights on Shabbat, etc. Their interpretation of mezuzah is to print it on a plaque as far as i know. But they have their own oral tradition anyway, everyone does. The Rabbis are just bringing the law into written form because of the galus, the dispersion to become adrift as minorities in the nations of the world.

    when I was 17 I tried to convert to Hasidic Judaism. It was so hard. You must memorize so many rules and as a young woman who did not know how to cook or clean I would have really struggled. The Rabbi will turn you away three times. You have to read HUGE books to prove yourself. And I accidently wore wool with linen. So I broke rules I did not even know I was breaking! You have to REALLY love it to push through all of this to convert. I have a ton of respect for him!

      @Joe Baumgart No one would kick anyone out for wearing wool with linen, and I don't think that was what she was saying. One also doesn't have to read a ton of big books to prove themselves. Yes, one must study, but the same goes for any Jew. But as far as conversion goes, if one is new to it, it may seem as if they have to do a lot of studying "before they are accepted", rather than just being introduced to studying which is in fact, part of the religion and culture. If one didn't grow up with it and is not used to it, Orthodox Judaism can be daunting. That is why we discourage conversion. It isn't for everyone.

      In Ephesians 2:8-9, Paul says that people are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, and not by their own efforts or works.

    People think that religious Jews think we're better than everyone else. Yes there are those among us who do. G-d knows who He observes is individually a better person, or who strives to be their best self. I've occasionally heard people of non-Jewish cultures say that their people are the best. To some extent it's human nature. I'm happy for the world to see examples of a variety of Jews who are good & contribute in their own ways. But G-d loves all of His human children, & presumably His other creations as well. I had to grow up to learn that.

      @@adam.259 It maybe true that he is secular convert. I don't think it's fair to call him a fraud

      Nissan black is fully immersed in Jewish life as are his wife and children. He has taken on major changes in his life and moving to Israel only made his life more complicated. To call him a fraud would mean he has been willing to put his family through a very long journey just for money. That is really unfair. It is extremely difficult to convert through an orthodox conversion. Since taking on 613 commandments is a massive undertaking conversion is not encouraged. If the Jewish court called a bais din allowed the black family to convert they had to demonstrate major major sincerity

    Nissim may be jumping to conclusions about his kids and the schools. Everyone in the Jewish community knows Jewish black children who attended and graduated from religious schools. I don't think it was really about color. Most kids whose father performs live rap music or any other which is not of a religious Jewish flavor would have trouble getting into some (though not all) of the very religious schools.
