It's funny because technically if the black want to maintain the fiction that Rhaenyra's bastards are not bastards and have rights to the throne (which they don't have) then the only person who has any rights to Driftmark and who should inherit is Joffrey - Rhaenyra's son. Even then if Baela doesn't want it because she is Jon Snow "Muh qyeen" 2.0 then it still Rhaena that should inherit....

@@s1b3r11 I don't think that's necessarily what it means because Luke was already named heir, so I don't think Joffrey not being heir would prove or disprove his legitimacy. Jace is already heir to the throne. And Corlys already tried to give it to Baela, so he has no problem giving the title to a woman, but Rhaena doesn't seem to have any interest in ships or being Lady of the Tides, so it would make more sense to give it to the son who actually commands vessels and lives the sea life, even if he is a bastard.

I'm done with taking this show seriously. I've been entertained, despite my frustrations with the many small problems that have been piling up, but I don't care anymore. This is not a show I will return to to watch multiple times live I've done with GoT or other shows.
That scene was leaked months ago, but the dialogue wasn't really mentioned, just that she offered to split the kingdoms as she does in the book when Rhae takes KL. Which is still dumb af, but not totally bad. But apparently, she outright sells her entire family out except for Helaena lol. Which... is just.... awful. I have a feeling she's going to be the one killing herself instead of Helaena.

But I watched the leaked scene in which Alicent literally goes to Dragonstone to sell out all of her sons, her brother and her lover to Rhaenyra's faction who killed her grandson in the hopes that Helaena and Jaehaera might be spared by those very same people, then hands over all of the greens ' military movements to Rhaenyra so that she can crush them, and then swears loyalty to Rhaenyra and says that it is the right thing to do. By far the worst scene I have ever seen in this story. A character assassination and plot destruction scene.
I watched episode 8 already and I can tell you, all of this happens. On top of that, Alicent joins Rhaenyra and betrays locations of all Greens, and Daemon sees visions of the Night King and Daenerys.
so many people talk about "what GRR M" says about HotD but people forget that GRRM wrote it in a way that it CAN be changed because not even his writing is "canon" because it is a recollection of a recollection from a grand miester's apprentice who hated the targaryens.

If you think about it, Daemon in this season indirectly become a dreamer. He has the conquest mentality of a Targaryen but with Alys help he became a dreamer too like Viserys and Helaena. He's a full fledge Targaryen now lol

The old leaks said the fall of KL happens during the finale, with S3 opening with the Gullet. But apparently, it only teases the two events... It makes it feel like we've been edged all season for nothing lol. Rhae taking KL would have been good for the finale, but whatever, HBO has other ideas I guess.

I was unfortunate enough to watch season 2 finale early, and I can confirm all of this happens. There is a few stuff not mentioned in this video like Alicent siding with Rhaenyra and giving positions of her sons, brother, lover and everyone else, and Daemon has visions about Daenerys.
They destroyed Alicent.... In the books she was cunning and quite intelligent. She was ambitious and wanted the throne but she DID care about her children (and hated Rhaenyra).. Show version of Alicent actually plot with Rhaenyra to murder her 3 sons, father and lover.... Great. Great change Condal. Obviously everyone "good" has to be on saint rhaenyra side, and we can't have to strong women fighting each other...

Unless this season finale is like 2 hours long, there's no way we're going to see the actual fall of Kings Landing. I think it ends with the beginning of the battle that leads to the fall of Kings Landing...Like with Rhaenerya, Daemon and all the dragons arriving over Kings Landing and the screen going black. There's just not enough time for all of it to take place plus everything else the trailer shows, in one episode

Bro wtf are you talking about? The writing, world building and internal logic is still good and nowhere near season 8. The characters are all as in the book and even more complex, because the book is very bear bones. Alicent dosent even have to pledge loyalty to Rhaenyra but they have to do something in that direction because they have a way more complex relationship in the books. Is she just supposed to be locked up for six months after Rhaenyra takes over Kings Landing? Elaborate please cause it seems like your just being mad for no reason.

@@Chasingdreams25 no he wasn't, that was suggested to him after both Rhaenyra and Daemon (those he held responsible for Jaehaerys' death) died but he refused. He was literally poisoned because he wanted to continue a war that was lost after the Baratheon defeat at the Kingsroad.

The problem is the current system burns money on unnecessary stuff like actors, costume design, set locations, etc. All of this can easily be reproduced by a team of IT people. The end product won't look real like now but I'm willing to trade it for a better story/action.
Someone hacked HBO and leaked the last episode on TikTok. I saw a lot of people complaining about various things, such as Alicent's trip to Dragonstone to try to negotiate with Rhaenyra. I thought it was a terrible decision, and many people also said it didn’t feel like a season finale. 😕
I have seen the 8th episode, no one will expect what will happen and it will be gigantic, Daenerys Targaryen is coming, the Three-Eyed Raven is coming, Rhaenyra will have an appearance that will go down in series history, I admit I was speechless, oh and Alicent and Rhaenyra have a connection a friendship that stands above fire and blood and between both families, you can be excited, it will be gigantic .

Pretty sure Gullet and the taking KL on screen was meant for ep9-10 but they cut the season short likely to rush it out leaving the fandom with blue balls.

Honestly, with the majority of us having already seen half the episode, it'd be nice if they just released it. This happened all the time with GOT, they should know how to deal with it by now. I watched the finale of HOTD s1 also leaked.

HBO Max Iceland accidentally leaked the episode lol. So the clips made their way around TikTok and Reddit before being shut down. So whatever this guy is saying, is probably true, because the episode has been leaked and some people have seen the whole thing. I've seen the final clip of Rhaena, she doesn't even tame Sheepstealer, only finds him... what a tease, I hate that, they've been building her up all season to find a dragon only for.. nothing to happen. WHAT! Although I do love Sheepstealer's design, he looks messy and wild lol.

Ryan should stay away from bad adaptations in this show! They can actually become quite misleading if done poorly. But I think its too late for season 3, his mind is made up already - just sad that we have to wait at least 2 years for getting what we do not want. (....and here I was thinking all the time Roose Bolton legitimized Ramsay as his trueborn son when it was in fact King Tommen per royal decree...)
Tessarion's description should be the reverse of yours. Her body neck, head, tail and legs are bright coblat blue. Her wings are copper coloured with their "fingers", a blend of blue and copper. Glad you realize the actual Battle Of The Gullet is for next season since this season's location spy reports, photos and videos didn't evidence a sea battle being prepared, much less shot.
They really dropped the ball and assassinated Alicent's character along with the whole story. And trying to make this show a prequel to Game of thrones season 8 is another layer of horrible writing decisions.
*Season* *2* *Finale* *Spoilers* The standout scenes are… 1. Rhaenyra meets Daemon in Harrenhal. This will make Burlington Bar get really loud from the cheers. 2. Daemon’s visions. We see a young Brynden Rivers for two seconds before he starts looking like Max von Sydow. We see Dany from S1 and also Helaena? I think GrayArea’s theory that Daemon ends up a greenseer is coming true. I know the S2 visions made Daemon feel wasted. But they used six episodes (Ep. 3-8) for it. I think there is a payoff for it after he dies. Remember in Age of Ultron when Tony had a vision seeing all the Avengers dead on the floor? The payoff happened when he risked his life in Endgame. Daemon will end up like Loki. His spirit gets to live forever and Loki became the God of Stories creating Yggdrasil. Daemon will be part of the weirwoods. Do not dismiss Daemon’s visions so quickly. There’s a payoff to it when Daemon’s physical body “dies”. Daemon becomes a “Gods Eye”, MCU’s The Watcher. 3. Alicent meets Rhaenyra!? This is going to make book fans shake their head. How the hell do they keep meeting up without any guards noticing them? I think this helps sets up when Rhaenyra spares Alicent and Helaena’s life after she takes over KL. But Alicent is already raising the white flag and looks to be hauling ass out of KL next to her daughter while Larys escapes with Aegon as Aemond goes full Order 66. 4. Helaena having a conversation with Aemond on a balcony. I read from a Reddit post that the episode opens with Aemond and Helaena having sex. So the convo probably happens after that. But Helaena is basically playing spoiler to Aemond’s fate. She specifically says Aemond dies in the Gods Eye and no matter what Aemond does to her like he did to Aegon, it won’t change Aemond’s fate. And she tells Aemond that Aegon will rule again. It’s almost like Helaena represents the book readers and will spoil the next events being she’s a dreamer. I figure since a majority of the viewers already knows what happens, Helaena can speak for them. In this particular scene, she actually acted the most normal. Not weird or if she looks autistic. 5. Ulf not recognizing Jace and acting rude to him. Even called him boy. Then Ulf acts like a moron again while eating in front of Rhaenyra. Ulf goes from fan favorite with non-book readers to annoying moron in a hurry. The non-book readers don’t know what’s coming to them with Ulf and Hugh. Lots of Reddit posts hate these two. Calling them the two buffoons who never deserved a dragon in the first place. A couple of traitors because they’re opportunists. But Rhaenyra did make a mistake by recruiting them. She basically handed F-18s to a couple of lowborns who have no real allegiance to anyone. I also saw a convo between Jace and Baela and Rhaena running in a tall grass field like it’s The Sound of Music and gets startled when she sees Sheepstealer who isn’t very big. I see Daeron on top of Tessarion but I still don’t know how Daeron looks like as it’s from a distance. I also saw probably the ending to the episode. Alicent, Helaena, Aegon, and Larys are escaping. I saw Otto waking up but not sure where he is. It doesn’t look like the episode will end in the Battle of Gullet. It’s ending right before the start of it. So no Fall of King’s Landing. Otto gets to live on for a Season 3. My personal favorite scene is seeing Daemon bend the knee to Rhaenyra and then the crowd cheering for her. While I hate the White Walker callbacks as that ended badly by GOT S8 and think the WW “threat” is pointless and a waste of time regurgitating something that didn’t conclude well, I think Daemon is finally seeing himself as a piece on the board. He will be a predecessor to Lord Bloodraven. And I love seeing a younger Brynden Rivers. They actually hired a more handsome actor for Brynden. In the book, Daemon is handsome and Brynden is not. But in HOT D, Brynden looks like a live action Sephiroth. More handsome than Matt Smith and Ewan Mitchell. But I’m not here to compare dragons to titans. My favorite dragon from the books is similar to the author’s and it’s Balerion the Black Dread. Bigger than Vhagar. Awesome design. Balerion is usually the most popular choice in polls. But for HOT D, it’s Silverwing. She’s telling me any buffoon can claim her. Silverwing is not much of a fighter. She’s nothing special in size. She was never as fast as Meleys. In the first episode of Season 2, the dragon who was afraid to go passed The Wall happened to be Silverwing that Cregan mentioned to Jace. She’s the most docile and friendliest among dragons although I don’t know why she rejected Rhaena repeatedly. I say if Ulf can claim her by being a drunken klutz, so could I if I had Old Valyrian blood in me. Maybe she wanted a boy this time after Alysanne (Daemon’s grandmother)? I really dig Silverwing’s design too. Love the shape of her head. I think her and Meleys have the best design starting from the shape of their heads. It was so fun to watch Ulf joyride her. Alysanne Targaryen was known as the Good Queen, and Silverwing seems to share the same temperament as her original rider. Silverwing reminds me of mares in horses. My favorite mare is Zenyatta. In war prior to automobiles, most of the military used mares as they’re generally quieter than male horses. If you go horseback riding, horses are usually mares or geldings (castrated males). The biggest and oldest dragon that Team Black has is Vermithor, Silverwing’s lover/mate. The third largest dragon behind Balerion and Vhagar. He’s about 75%-80% the size of Vhagar. I think Vermithor beats Caraxes if both were riderless or they had an equally talented rider on them. He’s just bigger than Caraxes and can chomp on Caraxes’ noodle neck. Maybe after we get to the Battle Above the Gods Eye, Caraxes might return being No. 1. But I think that has more to do on how badass and awesome Daemon is as a rider and fighter and not Caraxes’ raw talent. For now, I like the designs of the she-dragons from the Silver and Red Queens more. I think for male viewers, they’re going to love Vermithor. He’s the closest male equivalent to Vhagar in size while still being 80 years younger. Aemond was smart not to want that smoke coming from Dragonstone. I think Vhagar can wipe out four or five of the smaller dragons if Seasmoke happens to be the biggest one because Vermax and Moondancer are too small, but not against Vermithor backed up by Silverwing, Seasmoke, and Syrax. Caraxes isn’t even there yet. Vhagar may not handle Vermithor and Caraxes teamed up. Aemond should’ve not injured Sunfyre. Now he’s asking his sister for help in the Episode 8 trailer and for her to get on Drogon’s mama who has zero experience in fighting. Big mistake, Aemond. The top 3 heavy hitters among the dragons who remains alive are *Vhagar,* *Vermithor,* and *Caraxes.* There’s a considerable gap between them and the rest. Caraxes is half the size as Vhagar but is the fiercest among the smaller ones after Vermithor. Heavyweights Balerion (dead) *Vhagar* *Vermithor* *Caraxes* Meleys (dead) The rest are middleweights or lower. Silverwing is the third largest dragon in the Dance behind Vhagar and Vermithor but her personality is so docile, I can’t put her among the heavyweights when it comes to battle. Silverwing is a good girl dragon like Shimo in Godzilla x Kong after she was out of Skar King’s control. Silverwing is the perfect example of being kind or don’t be confrontational, and you can live longer. Too bad she chose a loser for a rider. I really hope we get Roddy the Ruin for Season 3.

It's funny because technically if the black want to maintain the fiction that Rhaenyra's bastards are not bastards and have rights to the throne (which they don't have) then the only person who has any rights to Driftmark and who should inherit is Joffrey - Rhaenyra's son. Even then if Baela doesn't want it because she is Jon Snow "Muh qyeen" 2.0 then it still Rhaena that should inherit....

@@s1b3r11 I don't think that's necessarily what it means because Luke was already named heir, so I don't think Joffrey not being heir would prove or disprove his legitimacy. Jace is already heir to the throne. And Corlys already tried to give it to Baela, so he has no problem giving the title to a woman, but Rhaena doesn't seem to have any interest in ships or being Lady of the Tides, so it would make more sense to give it to the son who actually commands vessels and lives the sea life, even if he is a bastard.

That scene was leaked months ago, but the dialogue wasn't really mentioned, just that she offered to split the kingdoms as she does in the book when Rhae takes KL. Which is still dumb af, but not totally bad. But apparently, she outright sells her entire family out except for Helaena lol. Which... is just.... awful. I have a feeling she's going to be the one killing herself instead of Helaena.
Can't believe only 1 episode left... and then years of waiting but thankfuly we are getting new GoT prequel series next year, at least.

But I watched the leaked scene in which Alicent literally goes to Dragonstone to sell out all of her sons, her brother and her lover to Rhaenyra's faction who killed her grandson in the hopes that Helaena and Jaehaera might be spared by those very same people, then hands over all of the greens ' military movements to Rhaenyra so that she can crush them, and then swears loyalty to Rhaenyra and says that it is the right thing to do. By far the worst scene I have ever seen in this story. A character assassination and plot destruction scene.
I watched episode 8 already and I can tell you, all of this happens. On top of that, Alicent joins Rhaenyra and betrays locations of all Greens, and Daemon sees visions of the Night King and Daenerys.

What we expected in season 2 finale: Battle of Kings Landing and Battle of the Gullet.
What we get: nothing, only prelude to these events.
The old leaks said the fall of KL happens during the finale, with S3 opening with the Gullet. But apparently, it only teases the two events... It makes it feel like we've been edged all season for nothing lol. Rhae taking KL would have been good for the finale, but whatever, HBO has other ideas I guess.

Tessarion's description should be the reverse of yours. Her body neck, head, tail and legs are bright coblat blue. Her wings are copper coloured with their "fingers", a blend of blue and copper. Glad you realize the actual Battle Of The Gullet is for next season since this season's location spy reports, photos and videos didn't evidence a sea battle being prepared, much less shot.
They really dropped the ball and assassinated Alicent's character along with the whole story. And trying to make this show a prequel to Game of thrones season 8 is another layer of horrible writing decisions.

The standout scenes are…
1. Rhaenyra meets Daemon in Harrenhal. This will make Burlington Bar get really loud from the cheers.
2. Daemon’s visions. We see a young Brynden Rivers for two seconds before he starts looking like Max von Sydow. We see Dany from S1 and also Helaena? I think GrayArea’s theory that Daemon ends up a greenseer is coming true. I know the S2 visions made Daemon feel wasted. But they used six episodes (Ep. 3-8) for it. I think there is a payoff for it after he dies. Remember in Age of Ultron when Tony had a vision seeing all the Avengers dead on the floor? The payoff happened when he risked his life in Endgame. Daemon will end up like Loki. His spirit gets to live forever and Loki became the God of Stories creating Yggdrasil. Daemon will be part of the weirwoods. Do not dismiss Daemon’s visions so quickly. There’s a payoff to it when Daemon’s physical body “dies”. Daemon becomes a “Gods Eye”, MCU’s The Watcher.
3. Alicent meets Rhaenyra!? This is going to make book fans shake their head. How the hell do they keep meeting up without any guards noticing them? I think this helps sets up when Rhaenyra spares Alicent and Helaena’s life after she takes over KL. But Alicent is already raising the white flag and looks to be hauling ass out of KL next to her daughter while Larys escapes with Aegon as Aemond goes full Order 66.
4. Helaena having a conversation with Aemond on a balcony. I read from a Reddit post that the episode opens with Aemond and Helaena having sex. So the convo probably happens after that. But Helaena is basically playing spoiler to Aemond’s fate. She specifically says Aemond dies in the Gods Eye and no matter what Aemond does to her like he did to Aegon, it won’t change Aemond’s fate. And she tells Aemond that Aegon will rule again. It’s almost like Helaena represents the book readers and will spoil the next events being she’s a dreamer. I figure since a majority of the viewers already knows what happens, Helaena can speak for them. In this particular scene, she actually acted the most normal. Not weird or if she looks autistic.
5. Ulf not recognizing Jace and acting rude to him. Even called him boy. Then Ulf acts like a moron again while eating in front of Rhaenyra. Ulf goes from fan favorite with non-book readers to annoying moron in a hurry. The non-book readers don’t know what’s coming to them with Ulf and Hugh. Lots of Reddit posts hate these two. Calling them the two buffoons who never deserved a dragon in the first place. A couple of traitors because they’re opportunists. But Rhaenyra did make a mistake by recruiting them. She basically handed F-18s to a couple of lowborns who have no real allegiance to anyone.
I also saw a convo between Jace and Baela and Rhaena running in a tall grass field like it’s The Sound of Music and gets startled when she sees Sheepstealer who isn’t very big. I see Daeron on top of Tessarion but I still don’t know how Daeron looks like as it’s from a distance. I also saw probably the ending to the episode. Alicent, Helaena, Aegon, and Larys are escaping. I saw Otto waking up but not sure where he is. It doesn’t look like the episode will end in the Battle of Gullet. It’s ending right before the start of it. So no Fall of King’s Landing. Otto gets to live on for a Season 3.
My personal favorite scene is seeing Daemon bend the knee to Rhaenyra and then the crowd cheering for her. While I hate the White Walker callbacks as that ended badly by GOT S8 and think the WW “threat” is pointless and a waste of time regurgitating something that didn’t conclude well, I think Daemon is finally seeing himself as a piece on the board. He will be a predecessor to Lord Bloodraven. And I love seeing a younger Brynden Rivers. They actually hired a more handsome actor for Brynden. In the book, Daemon is handsome and Brynden is not. But in HOT D, Brynden looks like a live action Sephiroth. More handsome than Matt Smith and Ewan Mitchell.
Daemon, Brynden, and Baelor Breakspear are my trifecta of Targ favs and to see a younger Lord Bloodraven and eventually Baelor next summer is a dream come true for me.

Maybe Aemond should’ve thought it through before injuring Sunfyre.
Now Godzilla even as small as OG54 and Minus One at 164 feet would murder all these dragons. And I think MonsterVerse Kong could do it too if he can shield himself from fire. But I’m not here to compare dragons to titans.
My favorite dragon from the books is similar to the author’s and it’s Balerion the Black Dread. Bigger than Vhagar. Awesome design. Balerion is usually the most popular choice in polls. But for HOT D, it’s Silverwing. She’s telling me any buffoon can claim her.
Silverwing is not much of a fighter. She’s nothing special in size. She was never as fast as Meleys. In the first episode of Season 2, the dragon who was afraid to go passed The Wall happened to be Silverwing that Cregan mentioned to Jace. She’s the most docile and friendliest among dragons although I don’t know why she rejected Rhaena repeatedly.
I say if Ulf can claim her by being a drunken klutz, so could I if I had Old Valyrian blood in me. Maybe she wanted a boy this time after Alysanne (Daemon’s grandmother)? I really dig Silverwing’s design too. Love the shape of her head. I think her and Meleys have the best design starting from the shape of their heads. It was so fun to watch Ulf joyride her.
Alysanne Targaryen was known as the Good Queen, and Silverwing seems to share the same temperament as her original rider. Silverwing reminds me of mares in horses. My favorite mare is Zenyatta. In war prior to automobiles, most of the military used mares as they’re generally quieter than male horses. If you go horseback riding, horses are usually mares or geldings (castrated males).
The biggest and oldest dragon that Team Black has is Vermithor, Silverwing’s lover/mate. The third largest dragon behind Balerion and Vhagar. He’s about 75%-80% the size of Vhagar. I think Vermithor beats Caraxes if both were riderless or they had an equally talented rider on them. He’s just bigger than Caraxes and can chomp on Caraxes’ noodle neck.
Maybe after we get to the Battle Above the Gods Eye, Caraxes might return being No. 1. But I think that has more to do on how badass and awesome Daemon is as a rider and fighter and not Caraxes’ raw talent. For now, I like the designs of the she-dragons from the Silver and Red Queens more. I think for male viewers, they’re going to love Vermithor. He’s the closest male equivalent to Vhagar in size while still being 80 years younger.
Aemond was smart not to want that smoke coming from Dragonstone. I think Vhagar can wipe out four or five of the smaller dragons if Seasmoke happens to be the biggest one because Vermax and Moondancer are too small, but not against Vermithor backed up by Silverwing, Seasmoke, and Syrax. Caraxes isn’t even there yet. Vhagar may not handle Vermithor and Caraxes teamed up.
Aemond should’ve not injured Sunfyre. Now he’s asking his sister for help in the Episode 8 trailer and for her to get on Drogon’s mama who has zero experience in fighting. Big mistake, Aemond. The top 3 heavy hitters among the dragons who remains alive are *Vhagar,* *Vermithor,* and *Caraxes.* There’s a considerable gap between them and the rest. Caraxes is half the size as Vhagar but is the fiercest among the smaller ones after Vermithor.

The rest are middleweights or lower. Silverwing is the third largest dragon in the Dance behind Vhagar and Vermithor but her personality is so docile, I can’t put her among the heavyweights when it comes to battle. Silverwing is a good girl dragon like Shimo in Godzilla x Kong after she was out of Skar King’s control. Silverwing is the perfect example of being kind or don’t be confrontational, and you can live longer. Too bad she chose a loser for a rider.
I really hope we get Roddy the Ruin for Season 3.
