This guy is one of the best bass players out there. This band is very much under rated as far as camercial success but ask any of the top bill board bands either heavey metal, or funk and they will tell you if your the head liner don't get this band to open for you cause they will blow your doors off.
That is pretty cool. I've never heard David Lee Roth's radio station, but I will tell you this, if these two bands ever had a concert together that would be the best rock concert ever seen. Back in the 70's both bands were hungry and had killer reps for putting on a live show. I've seen both bands and have always admired them. Being a pupil of the bass, this clip is just one bad ass clip.
Proud of having a fotograph from me with Wyzzard! The only Foto I´ve got with a prominent Person (the Moment was in Stuttgart while he listened to a boring Performance by B.B. King - although everyone visited the concert because of B.B.King, but he (B.B.) only talked about his grandchilds, but Wyzzard looked very interested
They were the best ever; saw them live end of the 70ies and I never will forget... They broke all the bullshittin races rules of that time and made what they are best in: AMAZING MUSIC!
Just awesome. Back in 75 or 76 at Hot Lanta we played the other stage. I was impressed then. Actually blew 2 15 inch Peavy Speakers trying to get my volume anywhere near what the wizard produced. Thank God Peavy had a lifetime warrantee then. Or we wouldn't have been able to play the week. This group were so far ahead of their times even then.
absolutely insane solo!! (and I had the honor having a photograph with him, Wyzard) and I had to laugh a lot because the contrast was so big; he´s so tall and "black" and I´m so small and "white"
@wyzard214 Amen Brother, you can also add Stanely Clarke, Victor Wooten and many others to that list. I have been watching Wyzard for 35 years, did some work for him back in the early 70's. Mr. Seay can out rock anyone on bass.
This makes my day. The variation in this video is skillful and refreshing. In addition I love the poses. Even though the video is a bit blurry, who cares! I just turned this up and floated to another place.
Just think if Hendrix had a bass player like Wyzard and a drummer like BB Queen we'd all still be hippies today! As back-up musicians i would have Larry Graham on bass and Hard-ass kickin Jellybean Johnson from the Time on drums! Just a Funk-Rock dream for me somebody slap me!!!!!!!!!!!!lol
This bass player is so over looked ! listen up FLEA , MARCUS MILLER , PRINCE AND EVERYONE WHO PLAYS DOWN LOW , THIS IS A TRUE MASTER ! OH LOOK OUT THIS IS A FOUR STRING BASS !
