I think Aegis eats way more crayons. You do not need to think with that character. Just mash A and B at bad guy until he dies three times.
@BasketPaul Not really. I’m not here saying Aegis is hard or anything, but at least they do have some things where they need some braincells. They do have sets ups, even if they’re easy, but it’s SOMETHING. Lucina is literally just sword go brrr

Every hitbox of down-air spikes in that one frame (captured nicely at 1:56 ). Ironically for Marth, spacing doesn't matter in only that case, but the timing is strict.
That is false. It's a single hitbox underneath Marth/Lucina. However, it does take priority over most if not all other hitboxes of the move for the one frame it's active for. Look it up on Ultimateframedata.

I've always felt that as players (specially pros) get better at the game, Marth will eventually become better than Lucina in the right hands.
Thoughts?
Tippers rely on the opponents decision in the moment just as much as the Marth players choices. You'd have to read the hell out of someone for dozens of interactions straight. Too inconsistent. Most people don't actually think Marth is like bad bad. Just worse than Lucina.

There are certain situations where you can hard force tippers like in tech chases or during ledge trapping or in easy combos and Marth's punish game is still slowly advancing. I feel like Lucina is too honest a character for this game and is only gonna get worse as time goes on whereas Marth is only gonna improve. Idk if he'll be better by the end of Ult's lifespan but he should be about as good as she is
@@th0rn3 exactly, as a marth main i can tell you right now no matter how much you practice spacing at times youll still get janked out by hurtbox shifting and animation related issues. Ive said this many times before but some of marths attack arent even animation accurate, much less f smash and side b which you can only control the tipper hitbox 70% of the time the other 30% looks like it shouldve been a tipper but donkey kongs legs are intangible or something stupid

I think Marth's biggest problem is that the playerbase tends to focus on a lot of combos and confirms that arent really pratical or gonna happen in tournament
Lot of advantage state in top level Smash Ult is basic BNBs mixed in with reading and reacting to DI/Defense Options.
