Thanks for posting. Dave played this the last time he was in town with Phil. Then John Doe did it a couple weeks later. Missing those shows at the Tractor in Seattle.
I'm not sure if I've ever seen Dave perform and not wearing a bandana. Still a great song. "X" did perform this song starting in the brief time Dave replaced Billy. And Billy played guitar with the "Blasters" .
Great song done so many ways by a variety of people (mostly with Dave) and while the reformed Blasters performed it this isn't the Blasters and it was never a Blasters song.
I do put title screens and subscription marks on my posts to build audience and to protect my taping, editing and archiving work. Much of my single camera work has been pilfered by others
Sweet to see Dave perform with the late Chris Gaffney.
Happy 4th a day early
Incredible song! First time I heard it was on July 4, 1994, and I was hooked on Dave’s music
Saw Dave first perform this at the North Shore Tavern in Philadelphia many years ago. And many more times since. I miss you Dave. See you soon.
Thanks, Ken, you make my 4th seeing my old friend Dave Alvin with Gaffney and Rick Shea on Telecaster...
Happy 4th...the fireworks are starting up in your hometown

Totally agree....I shot John Doe and Jesse Dayton singing it at The Music Box in CLE....it is posted

First time I've seen him perform without a cowboy hat!

Not sure why you put your little ad thing at the front of the video. Kinda cheesy really.
There's no ad, just a title page. Jesus. Be glad the video exists.
