That RS you showed a while back, tuned and with good skis would have shone here. 30 seconds in to the sight lap I was thinking cross country race. Looks like a blast for sure.
@@burninrubber427 it would have been dusted on that hill climb pull for sure. Speed through the bumps and corners would make a race interesting though.
Another great video. Congrats man. Looks like a nice and friendly family event. It would be nice to see them set up a kids race track for the young up and coming riders.
Minnesota guy here, that course is something I could have a lot of fun with!! Looks like a great time! Bring thee ol studded 137 / 1.5 storm on the 850 gade and let er eat!!👏👏👏
Awesome to have you out mate! You done a silky smooth lap! So cool to see some videos on the event. It's one of the best around. Just remember a snowbike beat you on the hill climb 😉 see ya next year ✊️
Dude. It must have felt good to have some many people recognize you. You may think its just a small youtube channel but man, you are known and enjoyed by many folks out there. Keep up the great work, Matt!
You are such a good rider. I knew this when you first started making videos, I was hooked on watching your lines. You can ride with the best in the world and prevail! Thanks, Matt. Awesome entertainment, educational and all!
Awesome run man! I would be curious what a 2nd run would have looked like. I think you could have shaved some from the hill climb in-run corner, and put a little more speed on the beginning of the downhill?
Looks like XC racing use to race pro XC 100 mile races on those type conditions. Really gives u a work out for sure lol Congrats worst thing about racing is getting addicted to it haha!!! Thanks for sharing
Soo glad you finally posted this! What an awesome event and congrats again on the fastest lap! I think the amount of time you get behind the bars definitely helps your times, (might be a bit of the Ontario riding too ) :) Another Great Video Matt
Well we already know the results. Pretty wild from watching you vlogs for multiple years seeing you progress from a capable back country rider who made compelling videos to winning an event like this. My Winder woulda liked that course. Was there really avy danger to need the airbags and shovels?
Cross country race sled be the best for sure. Or a MXZ would definitely be better use to pro race XC we ran 100 mile races on those types of conditions Really beat by the end of the day
After the race did you hit the parking lot to drink with your buds and make fun of your fans who called you out on drinking in public and driving after?
This type of trail riding is very similar to what I grew up on in Newfoundland. I would take my buddies 1996 670 Mach 1 (race clutch and 440 carbs) through stuff like that doing WELL over 100 kph. That machine topped out at 196 kph and handled like a dream. So much fun until the moose stepped out
lol this is for the people who think going fast on a groomed trail makes you a good rider, what a track for the RS That’s the stuff I live for reminds me of our riding here in Newfoundland where you have woops for days … you ain’t riding hard enough if your legs aren’t burning 😂
A backcountry race series is something I think a lot of people would be interested in both as participants and spectators.
I’ve been wishing for some shit like this for a long long time, that’s a lovely idea
There's the Irondog in Alaska..
8+ second lead on lap time. That is not just track conditions you blew them out of the water great job Matt. I love seeing the racing!!
Another great video! Nice job with the fastest loop time!
Congrats Matt! Ty for another season!! Hope you saved a few for late summer!!
That RS you showed a while back, tuned and with good skis would have shone here. 30 seconds in to the sight lap I was thinking cross country race.
Looks like a blast for sure.
I could be wrong but I'll bet that race sled is short on hp compared to the turbo...

Looks like a fun event, good job man.

Ive come a long way! I guess thats what riding 70 days a year does haha thanks!
Dang it Matt! This is where the Lynx would shine 🤠
I was thinking of the same thing...
I love the snowmobile community! So cool to see the passion for the sport.
some of the most passionate guys I know
Should have brought your Comp Turbo. That looks like quite the cross country course.
Looks like fun! Nicely executed. Thanks for taking us along. Bummed that your vids will soon be over for the season.
guess its on to summer stuff!
Whatever gets you back out for next season, my friend!
Way to go Muskoka X Country racer 😝🤙👏😎
Sick race. Was riding there Monday and couldn't tell there was the race even. we had a little reset with some fresh.
Goes to show what sheer hours on a sled combined with a touch of ocd can produce. Good job
You should try an enduro dirtbike race… it’s a lot of fun too. They have some good ones in Ontario. The corderoy race is world renowned. Check it out.
Hahaha, great job covering this event Matt. Have a great summer man and look forward to more of your edits next season Cheers ,
thanks! still a bit left though!
Interesting to see the narrow ski stance disadvantage when coupled with a standing posture. A trail sled would stay lower and flatter.
Ya a switchback turbo.
Awesome run man! I would be curious what a 2nd run would have looked like. I think you could have shaved some from the hill climb in-run corner, and put a little more speed on the beginning of the downhill?

That looked like a blast. Good thing you had that shovel on your back 😂 I would have rather the tunnel bag!
Looks awesome though be a blast even on a summit
29:12 he certainly ate a rock😂never run with alcool
Good way to end out the season!
Well done Matt!
Love races! Good Job Matt!
The trail sled you bought would of been great for this.

Avy was low but you must race with a back pack on. Those are the rules. Run what you brung - that’s the motto !
We love you Muskoka!
Thanks for your content, getting ready to get out and up 12169. Feet . Snow is great in the Tushers
Crazy how 9:45 looks slow from the go pro angle and 3x as fast from the guys watching you come up
One of my favourite vids of the year.
😂 the ending is gold! Hope his shoulder is ok.
This is great for a belt break in😂
When you were coming through the trees at the end of the race you making some jam. Good job time to go race somewhere else next year.
I had a couple smooth sections there that helped for sure
That looked so fun!
Your bros can cry all they want, they weren't making up the 10 second gap you put on them no matter what position they run the track. Great job!
Winner of the Women’s Class 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Thanks for a great season !
That was a fun change of pace.
Sick vid Matt!!
This looks like a lot of fun
Looks like a blast. Congrats on the win!
i don’t know a ton about back country racing but wouldn’t the mxz be a better sled to run here?
Cross country race sled be the best for sure. Or a MXZ would definitely be better use to pro race XC we ran 100 mile races on those types of conditions
Really beat by the end of the day
at elevation they don't make much power vs the 85o turbos.
Awesome matt great video
That looks fun as hell
Great race looked like fun. Did your buddy break his arm on that fall? Didn't look good when he hit the ground.
Bradyn is peoples champ 😂
After the race did you hit the parking lot to drink with your buds and make fun of your fans who called you out on drinking in public and driving after?
Good to see ya in golden
Nice race. You're all ready for Cains Quest next.
haha my thought exactly 🤣
This is so sick!
Hope to see you give Jackson a run next year! 😎🍺
Makes you think about those procross racers and how much they have to be in shape and tune with teh sled... insane
That was pretty cool.
We need more racing in western canada
Totally digging Rileys retro skidoo racing sled livery.
Great job Matt! Gotta represent the MX Z next time though.
nahhh I think the freeride was better suited
good racing. ouch that hurt.

The Snowdevils should send you an invite for 25’
Good times!!!!
Nice
The big guy beat your time by 18 seconds 😅
Just kidding…
That looked like so much fun! can youth riders enter too ?
That’s it I’m going first heat next year that track was smooth as hell compared to going 4th😂😂😂
haha I rode it after and wanted to compare in the video but I lost the footage along with some other stuff
🔥🔥🔥
I feel like your MXZ comp would have been faster
That looks like so much fun. Does this happen every year?
sure does
Almost as fast as my venture
I am telling you a Yamaha would shine in that kind of races, atleast the modified ones..
by 8 seconds, lets go
Dang I'd love to send my Vr1 boost up that!
So sad I missed it this year😢
cool
What ski width/ski stance did your sled have during this race?
Is this open to anyone? looks like a blast
Yes it is. A very good time !
They limit the amount of riders so first in best dressed. Team captains are selected then it's random draw for your team.
👍🏼
Imagine if i get pinned by my favorite RUclips channel
we're a friendly family channel

Is it invitational or can anyone show up and race?
Huffing and puffing like a Jerry Eh?
sure was haha
In my humble opinion, a sidewinder xtx would eat that track so easy
Do they require you to wear avalanche airbags during the race? Seems unnecessary.
999th like
Where are your 600rs lol ?
9th
