I believe this is due to correlation actually. If say she originally had access to the internet, the greatest source of knowledge on Earth, she could have possibly grown up lazy and distracted by all the social media. But because of the fact she grew up and lives on a farm, she is determined to reach beyond her limits to live a better life.

She has to worry about predators both human and animal, though with how remote she lives, animals are probably her biggest worry. After all, most predators are night hunters.

She’s literally walking in the mountains in the middle of the night. It doesn’t matter where you live, that’s asking to be an easy meal for an animal predator. At least with a larger adult an animal predator may think less of attacking. But regardless, no child should be walking around mountains, alone, in the dark with very little protection or people to reach out to. It’s more a common sense issue at that point. I understand it’s unavoidable in many places but it doesn’t make it less dangerous.

And like I said, children walking the mountains alone is the norm, especially for those who actually grew up there. Just because you think it's unsafe doesn't make it so. You are significantly more likely to get injured/killed by a car in the US than be the victim of a violent crime, does that mean people should stop driving?
It's sad that there's no neighbor around her who can help with her studies. I hope she continue to do homework little earlier than her usual time so that she can go this place again before it's late.
I don’t think is a sad thing, this shows that even that the place is not very populated, they are a nice and helping each other community. They look that they care of each other, and to be honest I will prefer to walk like this every day and spending time with very nice people like those, than to waste 40 minutes with people that are fake and don’t care about me🤷🏻

Honestly it isn't as bad as it seems. Not denying that it would help this girl with a pure desire to learn, which is very rare in this century, hasn't any access to a decent public library or a private tutor offline/online, but she's probably going to grow with a lot healthier body and mindset that the vast majority of the world. Reminds me of my mother’s stories of having to walk an hour + to get to school, even more for the public library cause they couldn’t afford textbooks. Plus on top of that, having to walk to get water. That drive to learn and survive worked out in the end. I’m very privileged to live the way I get to live because of her hard work. I hope this little girl gets that much success for her efforts too.

In America there was this little boy…, I think he was six or eight years old…, he dialed for the local emergency number and it’s illegal to fool around with the emergency call line, but the reasons the boy call for emergency, he needed help with his math homework and the operator stayed on the line with him helping through on the math…, thinking back about it how cute and very sweet that was.
I'll always admire the people growing up in the countryside. They always end up to be the most independent and hardworking people with a solid moral and tradition value that many of us have lost. I hope oneday i can meet my future partner to have same value as them. Simple life yet complete every needs

Competition to enter universities in China is huge. Despite her best effort and attitude she might not get to university because of serious competition of other kids whose parents got higher education, are willing to pay for classes and even entrance to private and foreign universities. I sincerely hope that her attitude and passion for learning will take her over many obstacles in Chinese educational system.
She's got a one in a million chance. The CCP hates the peasants and is by far the most corrupt and polluting government on the planet, she'll be lucky to be alive by the time she gets to college age. Communists are a disaster everywhere they've been.
don't give up hope, you don't know what future will gives you and at least some of what she learned will help her in the future. Me as example I learn how to photoshop even though i'm not working as graphic designer and really bad at drawing, but it helps me lot of times in unexpected occasions

But they will try their best to let their children receive education, learn cultural knowledge, and encourage them to go to school. These parents may be workers, farmers, or small businesses, but their goal is to let their children learn more Knowledge, in the future to be able to independently face difficulties in the society, and to be healthy
With toughness like that, with drive to succeed like that, with such a respect for learning, how can a society filled with individuals like that fail? When they come to America, can anyone doubt they will succeed? Where others complain about past wrongs, these people will just get on with it.

That's like a 2 mile walk. It's normal in the rest of the world, only in America is it seen as "dangerous".
