HP Desktop Tower 251-a244 [2018 Review]

The HP Desktop Tower 251-a244 is a decent desktop computer for word processing and web browsing, however, if you dig a little deeper, you find that this is no normal desktop PC. The CPU is soldered to the motherboard, there is no way to add a second internal hard drive or disk drive, and the machine is really just a large empty case with an external power supply and laptop components. Not a bad deal for web browsing and word processing, however, buyer beware if you have ANY upgrade aspirations.

I have the exact same computer it was working fine but now it keeps crashing I don’t use it anymore and do wish to get a better pc can u help me out I’m on a 350$ budget

The form factor of the motherboard is mini-itx. It is not a laptop motherboard.

Do you know where you can buy a replacement Cord... HP wants $200 for the cord & I can't find it on amazon or eBay I don't know if Im looking up the right thing

My mother board looks diffrent but I have the same model but this pc says I don’t have a harddrive installed and all I can do it press f3

Check the connections to and from the hard drive, sometimes a wire can vibrate loose. if the wires are snug when you turn on the computer put your hand on the drive and see if you can feel any vibration within. If not it's likely the drive has failed. Also if you leave it on for a time, see if the drive becomes warm to the touch

I no longer have that machine but the specs says it has 802.11bgn.
Not the latest your greatest high speed AC standard, but it should be fine for most users.
