That was an 'in game shock'. Liverpool went 3-nil down and came back to win, if Liverpool hadn't gone so far behind it wouldn't have been a shock, the result itself wasn't too unbelievable. A bit like many games with great comebacks Newcastle v Arsenal 4-4, Leicester v Man United 5-3 recently. The shocks in this video were all matches/complete tournaments that the pre occasion predictions were the total opposite to what actually happened. (apart from Brazil v Germany)

defending's part of football, after we were down by 3-0 we could've just gave up and let milan have the win. But instead, we kept our heads up. attacked. had the comeback, and tried to defend the draw from there on. long story short, we won the champions league from 3-0 down.

Costa Rica deserve a spot on the list in my opinion. Leading up to the tournament people joked about us because of the group we were in and absolutely no one thought we could win a game let alone top the group. Reaching the quarter finals and nearly the semis is a historic feat.

Ajax 1 - 5 PEC Zwolle in the KNVB Beker final? Ajax went up 1-0 in 10 minutes by a wondergoal. Their fans threw fireworks on the field after 15 minutes and PEC Zwolle beat them to win the cup with 5-1, a club who just promoted from the Dutch 2nd league.
I don't think they'll include Dutch Cup matches into top 10s like this. It sure was a major shock in Dutch football, but internationally not so much.

Thedeezy567 i was also strangely glad as a hungarian that they left out the 1954 world cup, which is probably the most historic upset ever. germany lost 3-8 against hungary in the group stages and came back from 0-2 to win the final 3-2 against the same team. it played a huge part is making german football what it is today.

In the 1990 World Cup Cameroon were not first time out qualifiers as they had originally participated in 1982, interesting list though.
in 1954 Hungary were the best team in the world. with players like Puskas and Kocsis they were favourites to win in the final, especially after being undefeated for 4 years. but in one of the biggest upsets in world cup history, West Germany( as they were known at the time) defeated the 'Magnifecent Magyars' 3-2 from being 2-0 down.
