This kind of thing does happen in a lot of shows and movies. There are a lot of deleted scenes that just weren’t able to make the cut. And it’s a good thing these scenes were deleted, because this show has enough weight already.
I understand how u feel. I enjoyed this season as a kid but there were a lot of epsiodes that didn't really stick with me. I will say there is another special event this season (no spoilers) that were really good. Also season 6 has one that you will definetley enjoy.

Yeah. This season's best part are the 2 movies and the camp miniseries. But this was the least enjoyable season so far in my opinion.
