The bummer is I actually holed the La-7 who killed me early in the fight. Kinda ironic after my example of the La-7 I holed with .50s coming back and killing me in my Hellcat! But the second time was entirely my fault for missing with the 109's 20s
I just realized that shank06 is now Count Chocula lol.. i thought he had stopped playing wt... I remember u both for the past year playing p-38 making me quit every match... GG, nice video o7.
that said last time I was flyng WT the 20mm were very very underwhelming. But that was at least 2 years ago lol. Weapon damage in WT always changed with the wind.
Despite it's MANY issues, I still have a ton of fun in War Thunder! The dogfights are a blast and I can get quite a few in in my limited playtime each night.
@@IdahoBookwormyeah well I can understand. I mean I had my fun a few times and it was my entry. But in the long run I couldn't get beyond the fight models of a few aircraft and especially the "gunner" bs. But usually I came back every year for a week until 2021 and just did some seal clubbing spaded a few aircraft of new nation and left for another year.
And you haven't even developing a taste for of the 30mm Minengeschob yet! Satisfaction guaranteed... Besides, the K-4 is one of the most agile Bf 109s 😉
This is what I've been saying all along, with US tech tree being so underwhelming for a decade now, give them ANY other plane with some ACTUAL armament and you'll have a huge skillgap, it's like giving them a 10 year buff (and counting) instantly.
I think I do some comparisons in my 109 video: ruclips.net/video/KtHCNybv0lY/видео.html. Short answer is that it has better thrust-to-weight and steep climb, a little worse turn radius at most speeds, a similar if not better turn rate, and a little less stability at low speed. Oh, and it has better weapons! They're pretty well-matched, overall: both very balanced aircraft that aren't pure turn fighters or pure hit-and-run fighters.
That kill on the A7 was euphoric, great flying Idaho!
That kill montage went too crazy, nice editing!
1944 La-7 vs 1941 Bf 109 F-4 induced PTSD.

Always nice not to see myself in a Idaho montage
Shutout to the Marathon theme usage

I guess I need to come back for a couple of hours just for some major punishment :D

how do you control the aircraft so smoothly? any tips?
Juse the trimm Dude Go in the Control settings .
Out of curiosity, how do you think the 109 compares to the p38?
