Really appreciate your efforts on this, I can tell you were in a really awkward position, trying to show a good picture whilst still keeping your fingers safe, and doing a quality job. Key take outs on this was to plan your lines, do during the growing season. Nice tip on narrowing the carved area as you move up the trunk

This will probabaly look good and this was a great video but I think i would’ve done it in maybe 2 or 3 stages. You could’ve went about 50% the width and then in a year or two, widen it back out to how you have it now. That would create some natural looking layers within the Shari and help the live veins roll over better.

Josh, I would like to request you make a video discussing Juniper bonsai care in winter as we are now approaching and preparing for winter in the United States.
Would you please discuss Junipers, sizes, keeping inside/outside, how much light necessary for good health and better growth next year, keeping on ground vs. in the ground, mulch/bark/root system protection? There is much gray area and over generalized information and confusion about this.

Never keep them inside for more than a couple of days. Have a few and rotate them outside and inside 👍

Nice easy video to follow mate. Is now a good time to do Shari/Carving work on most trees? Appreciate your efforts!

If you are in the southern hemisphere then now is a good time as long as the tree isn't a sap flowing tree like a pine. Do sap flowing trees in Autumn.

What is it with all the tattoos, one who needs attention that bad has a problem, I know the Minllennials, thinks it cool, but that crap started in prison gangs, some body failed loving you enough not to encourage you to do that, I am sorry.

Dear boomer, first of all, tattoos are art expressions done to the body. Your opinion that they are just there to seek attention is your opinion alone and not of that who owns his/her own body. Just because it started from “prison gangs” doesnt means its just for prison gangs alone. Most of the time, tattoos hold sentimental meaning to someone and thats why they have it. Some tattoos are also for traditional purposes, like tribe warriors marking themselves for whatever reasons (i assure you these date back way before “prison gangs”). So my suggestion to you is, keep your old boomer opinion to yourself. Somebody failed loving you for not educating you properly.
Secondly, its a bonsai-related video. Its a bonsai related youtube channel. The the F you looking at his tattoos and judging his “unloved” life? I swear boomers like you should be in a mental institute by now. 😅
